Paige:  Do you ever get tired of shopping?

Maya:  Are you kidding?  It's my favorite pastime.  Besides, I didn't expect your father to give   us such a healthy allowance.

Paige:  Well, that healthy allowance is going to dwindle if you don't slow down.

Maya:  Nonsense.  I shop till my heart's content.

Paige:  And shopping is the only way to fulfill your heart?  That sure is an expensive way to find   contentment.

Maya:  Well, that's not the only way.

Paige:  Oh?

Maya stops and turns around.  Paige stops herself before bumping into Maya.

Maya:  Paige, have you ever been in love?

Paige:  Me?

Paige starts to blush.

Maya:  Yeah, you.

Paige:  No, I can't say that I have.  I mean, I've had crushes before but I never fell in love.  I   guess the right guy hasn't come along yet.

Maya:  See, me too!

Maya turns back around and starts walking again, wrapped up in her own fantasy.

Maya:  I mean, I thought I was in love once but when I thought about it, it just didn't feel right.  I   had always imagined that one day it would just happen.  I'd meet a tall, dark, and    handsome man who was just mesmerizing to look at and held an air of mystery about   him.  And "POOF!", we would fall in love and live happily ever after.

Paige:  You're kidding, right?

Maya:  No.  It could happen.

As they walk in front of the entrance of one of the stores, a man suddenly bumps into Maya and knocks her to the ground.

Maya:  Hey!  Watch where you're . . .

Maya becomes speechless as she looks up at the tall, dark, handsome man wearing all black and sunglasses.  Paige drops her sacks and kneels down to help Maya to her feet.

Paige:  Maya, are you alright?  (to the man) You know, you could be a little more careful where   you walk.

Maya:  No. . . it's okay.

The man reaches out his hand to help Maya up.  She takes his hand and at the same time Paige helps her up.

Man:  Are you alright, miss?

Maya:  Uh, yeah . . . I think so.

Paige:  Humph!

Paige turns around to pick up her and Maya's bags which are scattered on the floor.

Man:  My apologies.  Let me make it up to you.  Lunch here tomorrow at noon?

Maya:  Well, I don't know.  You see, I might be kinda busy and . . .

Maya turns her head down in modesty.  The man pulls down his sunglasses enough to expose his eyes which are glowing, and lifts Maya's chin so that she looks directly into his eyes.

Man:  Tomorrow at noon it is.

The man's eyes glow brighter when Maya stares into them.  Then her eyes start to glow then return to normal.

Maya:  Okay, tomorrow at noon.

The man starts walking off into the mall.  Maya simply stares in a daze as he disappears in the crowd.  Paige finishes picking up the sacks and walks up behind Maya.

Paige:  What a jerk.

Maya:  Isn't he wonderful?

Paige:  Hunh?  Maya, are you alright?

Maya snaps out of her daze.

Maya:  Uh, yeah.  Of course I'm okay.  Let's go!

Maya starts to rush off.

Paige:  Wait, where are we going?

Maya:  I've got to get ready for my date!

Paige:  Date?  With him?

Maya:  Yeah.  C'mon!

Paige starts to shake her head and follows Maya.

Paige:  This is unbelievable.

 In Mount Havoc, all are gathered before Dimoc.  Dimoc starts to laugh.

Dimoc:  Ha, ha, ha!  Brilliant, Levina!

Levina:  Thank you, my lord.

Balizar and Vex look at each other unimpressed.

Balizar:  How can we be sure the plan worked?

Levina:  Of course it worked, Balizar.  There's no way it couldn't have.

The man that bumped into Maya in the mall walks into the cavern.  Everyone turns in silence to face him.  He walks up to Dimoc and kneels with his head down.  Suddenly he transforms into the Dimocian Beast, Vader.

Vader:  Lord Dimoc.

Dimoc:  Ahh, Vader.  And what is the verdict?

Vader:  Yellow Gemini will meet me tomorrow at noon as planned.

Dimoc:  Ha!  Perfect!

Levina turns and gives Balizar a look and he sneers back at her.

Dimoc:  Those foolish humans, so quick to open their hearts and minds for the ones they desire.    Soon, Yellow Gemini will be ours to take.  Then Zodiac Five will be left with only four   which will lead to the end of Zodiac Five.  Vader, you just be sure to keep her helpless   under your control.

Vader:  Yes, great leader.  She won't stand a chance against me.

Vader looks up and his eyes start to glow again.

* * * * *

At Zodiac Central, the guys are sitting around the command center.  Paige and Maya walk in with their shopping bags.  Maya has a big smile on her face.

Kevin:  Looks like you two had a successful day at the mall.

Paige:  More than you know.

Maya:  Hi guys!  Sorry, but I don't have time to chat.

Leon:  What's she in a rush for?

Marcus:  Yeah, why are you in such a good mood?  Find a good bargain at Neiman's?

Maya:  Humph!  Funny, Marcus.  Real funny.

Paige:  Maya has a date with a mystery man.

Marcus' smile turns into a look of disbelief.  Paige notices his expression and looks as if to feel sorrow for him.

Marcus:  A . . . a date?

Leon:  (joking) What, you mean it's not one of us?

Maya:  Hah, you should be so lucky, Leon.  No offense guys, but this guy is just what I'm   looking for.  He's tall, dark, handsome and just stunning to look at.  He's everything I've   even wanted in a guy.

Kevin:  No offense taken.  He obviously doesn't know you like we do.

Maya nudges Kevin  in his chair.

Kevin:  Hey!

Leon:  So who's the lucky guy?

Maya:  I don't know.  We really didn't get a chance to talk.

Marcus:  You mean you don't even know his name?  Then . . . well, how do you know you like   him?

Maya:  That's what this date is for.  So, if you'll excuse me lady and gentlemen, I have to get   ready.  Oh my gosh!  I have to get my nails done, wash my hair, find an outfit . . . unh,   there's not enough time!

Maya exits the room.  Marcus sinks down in his chair and Paige walks over to place a hand on his shoulder.  He looks up at her and she gives him a caring look.  Kevin and Leon continue not noticing that Marcus is troubled by the situation.

Kevin:  Well, I hope she knows what she's doing.

The next day, Maya is standing around at the food court waiting impatiently.  She's very nicely dressed and carrying a small handbag.  She lifts herself up and down on her toes while she waits.

Maya:  (to herself) I hope he shows.  He's already ten minutes late.

The moment she says that, Vader walks up behind Maya with a dozen roses.  He is dressed in black again wearing sunglasses.  Maya is overwhelmed by the smell of the roses and turns around.

Maya:  Oh!  I wasn't expecting you to come up behind me.

Vader:  I hope I didn't startle you.  I'm sorry I'm late, but when I saw these on the way here I   knew I had to stop and get them for you.

Maya begins to blush as she takes the flowers.

Maya:  Why, thank you.  That was so sweet.

Vader:  The pleasure is all mine.

Vader pulls down his sunglasses again to look in Maya's eyes.  His eyes start to glow and Maya's eyes start to flash again.

Vader:  Now, would you like to have a seat and have lunch?

Maya:  Um . . . yes, I would.

Vader pulls a seat for Maya as they sit down.

In Mount Havoc, all are present in front of Dimoc.

Levina:  Now, Balizar, it's time to prove the plan is working.

Balizar:  Humph!

Dimoc:  Indeed, Levina.  Now to distract the others.  Balizar, Vex!  Assemble a band of Zoodos   and go to the surface.  If all goes well, Zodiac Five will be one member short.

Balizar:  Yes, Dimoc!

Vex bows and both leave the cavern.

At Zodiac Central, Marcus is sitting at a table by himself staring vacantly at the wall.  Kevin and Leon are no longer in the room.  Paige walks in a notices Marcus and walks up to him.

Paige:  Marcus, are you okay?

Marcus snaps out of his daze.

Marcus:  Uh, yeah.  I . . . I guess so.

Paige sits down next to him.

Paige:  You really like Maya, don't you?

Marcus:  Is it that obvious?

Paige:  I'm afraid so.

Marcus:  Ever since I saw her in magazines I was astonished by her beauty.  And now after   finally meeting her I can't help but be even more drawn in by her.

Paige:  Well, then why don't you just tell her?

Marcus:  Are you kidding?  She'd never go for me.  I'm too average.  I mean, what do I have to   offer her?

Paige:  Marcus, beauty comes from within.  And given time she'll see you have so much to offer   her.  You just have to let her know you're interested.

Marcus:  Paige, c'mon.  Look at her.  She's gorgeous.  She could have any guy in the world.    Why would she want me?

Paige:  Well, I think . . .

The alarm sounds.

Marcus:  It's Dimoc.

Paige and Marcus both get up and rush to the computers.  Kevin and Leon run into the command center.

Kevin:  Paige, did you get a fix on where we need to be?

Paige:  It's coming up right now.

Kevin:  Good, where's Maya?

Marcus:  She's on her date.

Kevin:  Well, she'll get the distress signal and she can meet us there.  Let's head out!

All:  Right!

In the city, Kevin and the others look around to see if they can find the Dimocians.

Leon:  This was the location, right?

Paige:  It should be, but I don't see anyone either.

Marcus:  What do you suppose they're up to?

Kevin:  I don't know.  Just keep your eyes peeled.

Suddenly, blasts explode around them and they fall to the ground.

All:  Ahh!

Balizar, Vex and the Zoodos appear.  Everyone gets up in a fighting stance.

Kevin:  Balizar!

Balizar:  Ha, ha, ha!  It's seems you weren't looking hard enough now, were you?

Leon:  Sneaky, but not enough to keep us down!

Balizar:  Of course not.  But let's see how long you stand for this attack.  Zoodos!

The Zoodos attack with their sickles as Kevin and the others fight in hand to hand combat.  They easily defeat the Zoodos one by one.

Kevin:  You're gonna have to do better than that.

Balizar:  And I shall.  Attack!

More Zoodos appear and start to attack.

Paige:  More Zoodos.  Kevin!

Kevin:  Right!  Everybody . . .

All:  Celestial change!

All transform into Zodiac Five.

* * * * *

Maya and Vader are sitting down, having lunch.  Not much is being said.  Suddenly, Maya's signal on her Z-Band goes off.  Vader looks at her.  Maya immediately snatches her handbag and hold it in her lap trying to cover up.

Maya:  Um, that's my . . . uh, my pager.  I'll be right back.

Maya gets up and rushes to the bathroom.  Maya looks at her Z-Band and hears the signal and watches the flashing red light.

Maya:  (to herself) No, not right now.  It's such bad timing.  Oh, they'll be alright.  It's only for a   few more minutes.

Maya pushes a button on her Z-Band and the sound and light shut off.

Maya:  (to herself) They can handle it this time.  No harm done.

Maya walks out of the bathroom and sits back down at the table.  Vader pulls down his glasses as he speaks to her.

Vader:  Is everything alright?

His eyes glow as he stares into her eyes which begin to flash.

Maya:  Um, yeah.  Everything's fine.  Now where were we?

Back at the fight scene, Aries and the others fight the Zoodos with their Z-Sabers.  Balizar fights along with the Zoodos who attack Aries and Pisces while Vex fights along with the Zoodos who attack Taurus and Libra.  At the moment, Zodiac Five is struggling in their battle.

Aries:  Where's Gemini?

Libra:  Unh!  I don't know!

Taurus:  Well we could use her right now!

Pisces:  Don't worry.  She'll show.

Taurus:  She better.  Can't take this much . . . Argh!

Vex knocks Taurus away with his sword.

Libra:  Taurus!  Ahh!

Vex hits Libra with his other sword.

Pisces:  Libra!  Taurus!  Argh!

Pisces is knocked down by Balizar.

Balizar:  Now, Red Aries, looks like you're the only one left standing.  But not for long.  Kyah!

Balizar swings his sword across Aries' chest and blasts explode across his chest, knocking him back.

Aries:  Unh!

The others are slowly trying to get up.  Balizar and Vex make their swords glows and throw blasts of energy from them which send Zodiac Five flying through the air.

All:  Ahh!

Zodiac Five lands on the ground and struggle to get back up.  More Zoodos move in for another attack.

Taurus:  They won't let up!

Aries:  Where's Gemini?  We need her!

Libra:  Something must be wrong.  She would be here by now.

Pisces:  Well, don't count on her coming.  Just get ready!

They all get up in a weak fighting stance.  Balizar and Vex walks slowly towards them.

Balizar:  Ha, ha, ha!  It's seems you've had enough, Zodiac Five.  That'll be all for now.  Next   time I won't be so merciful.  Ha, ha, ha!

With his final laugh, Balizar and the others disappear into thin air.  Aries and the others look around in confusion.

Pisces:  Hunh?  What was that all about?

Taurus:  They backed out of the fight?  They could have finished us.

Libra:  Something is terribly wrong.  And Gemini still isn't here.

Aries:  Where did she go this afternoon?

Libra:  She was meeting her date at the mall at noon.

Aries:  Let's get over there and see what's up and make sure she's okay.

They all start to walk off.

Kevin and the others walk through to the mall in their regular clothes and find their way to the food court.  Paige spots Maya at the table with Vader.

Paige:  Look, there she is.

Leon:  She seems fine to me.

Kevin:  Well, she's got some explaining to do.

The group heads over to the table where Maya sits silently with a small grin, looking at Vader.  She's startled by the arrival of her friends.

Maya:  Oh, hi guys.

Kevin:  (to Vader) Excuse us.

Vader:  Certainly.

Kevin:  (to Maya) Could we talk to you for a moment?

Maya:  Um, sure.  I guess.  (to Vader) Sorry, but I'll be right back.

Maya and the others step away from the table and anyone else that's around.  Kevin speaks in a authoritative tone.

Kevin:  Wanna explain to us why you didn't answer the distress signal?

Maya:  Well, I was on my date and things were going so well.  I mean, look at him.  Isn't he   great?  Ahh, he's more than I could have ever imagined.

Marcus:  Forget about him!  What about us?

Marcus walks off frustrated, shaking his head.  Paige watches him walk away and turns back to Maya.

Paige:  You don't get it, do you?  We could have used you earlier.

Maya:  Why?  You guys look fine.  You're all in one piece.  See?  Everything's fine.

Kevin:  No, everything isn't fine.  The only reason why we're still alive is because Balizar   backed off.  But that's not the point.  You should have been there for back-up.

Maya:  Well, maybe you should find someone else to do it.  I don't want to be a part of this   anymore.

Leon:  Maya, take it easy.

Paige:  You can't mean that.

Maya:  No, I do mean it.  I've finally found someone I could spend the rest of my life with and I   don't want to ruin it.  So just stay out of my way because I quit.

Maya storms through the others and makes her way back to Vader.

Kevin:  Maya, wait!

Vader:  Are you ready to go?

Maya:  Yes, I am.  And I don't ever want to come back, especially to them.

Paige:  Maya!

Maya continues to walk off with Vader and doesn't turn back.  Marcus walks back to the group.

Marcus:  What was that all about?

Kevin:  I don't know, but something's not right.  C'mon, we've got to stop her and talk some   sense into her.

They take off after Maya.

On the second floor of the parking garage in the mall, Kevin and the others rush through the door to find Maya and Vader still in the parking lot.

Kevin:  Maya!  Wait!  We need to talk.

Paige:  Please!  Don't go.

Maya turns around to yell back.

Maya:  Leave me alone!  I don't want any part of you!

Vader grabs Maya by the shoulders and turns her so that she faces him.  She looks at him and he pulls down his sunglasses to reveal his glowing eyes.

Vader:  Don't worry about them.  Just come with me.

The others are too far away to see what's going on but they start to run towards Maya.  Suddenly, Zoodos appear and get between Maya and her friends.  The others stop and get into a fighting stance.

Leon:  Zoodos!

Maya and Vader turn around and Maya sees the Zoodos.  She gets in front of Vader and prepares to protect him.

Maya:  Just stay behind me.  I'll take care of them.

Vader:  No, it's okay.

Maya:  What?

Maya turns around.  Vader pulls down his sunglasses again and Maya's eyes start to flash.

Vader:  They're my friends.  It's your friends who are trying to keep us apart, remember?  And   you don't want that.  They're the real enemy.

Maya starts to turn her head back to her friends but Vader makes her look into his eyes again.

Vader:  Don't listen to them.  They're trying to keep us apart.  I love you.

The others finally see what's been going on.

Paige:  Kevin, he's a Dimocian Beast.  Dimoc has set her up.

Kevin:  Maya!  Get away from him.  He's a Dimocian Beast!

Maya turns back to her friends.

Maya:  He's right.  You're the real enemy.  All you want to do is keep me apart from my one true   love.  And I'm not gonna let that happen.

Marcus:  Maya, snap out of it!  You don't know what you're talking about.

Paige:  Maya, please!  Try to break his control.

Vader:  Zoodos, attack!

The Zoodos start to attack Kevin and the others.

Kevin:  Let's take care of the Zoodos and try to get Maya out of here.

All:  Okay!

The fight begins and each take on a group of Zoodos.  Maya stands back and watches.  Vader walks up behind her.

Vader:  Why don't you help the Zoodos?  Put a stop to your friends.

Maya nods and starts walking towards the others.  Kevin sees her coming towards him as he finishes off a Zoodo.  She walks up to him clenching her fist.

Kevin:  Maya, what are you doing?  Get out of . . . Ahh!

Maya punches Kevin and he falls back.  Zoodos grab him.  Maya then walks over to Paige.

Paige:  Maya, don't do this.  Unh!

Maya kicks Paige and knocks her to the ground.  Maya then goes to Leon who has his back to her as he's fighting.  She chops him in the shoulder.

Leon:  Argh!

Marcus saw her attack on her friends and runs to her and grabs her from behind.  He holds her tight.

Marcus:  Maya, please!  Stop!  You don't know what you're doing.

Maya: Let me go!

Maya breaks free from his hold and tries to fight him but he blocks all her punches and kicks and eventually shoves her away.  She falls to the ground.

Marcus:  Forgive me, Maya.

Maya gets back up with an angry look.

Maya:  So you want to get rough?  Let's see how you like this.  Celestial change!

Maya transforms into Yellow Gemini.

Gemini:  Gemini Battle Batons!

Gemini's batons appear and she starts a thunderous attack on Marcus before he can do anything.  Marcus is beat helplessly as the others watch while being held down by Zoodos.

Marcus:  Ahh!

Kevin:  Marcus!

Paige:  Maya, stop!

Marcus is eventually beat to the ground and Gemini places a foot on his chest to keep him down.  Vader walks up to them.

Vader:  Ha, ha, ha!  Looks like your friend, Maya, has had a little change of heart.  I don't think   you can rely on her to come to your aid anymore.

Marcus:  (thinking) I can't let him do this to her.  Somehow I've got to break his control over her   before she ends up killing me.

Marcus realizes that they are not far from the ledge of the parking garage.  He knocks Gemini's foot off his chest and hits her other leg so that she falls away from him.   He gets up and charges at Vader.

Vader:  Hunh?

Marcus:  Hyah!

Marcus grabs Vader around the waist and pushes him to the ledge.  The others start to fight and break free from the Zoodos.  Gemini looks up to see what Marcus is doing.

Maya:   Hunh?  Wait!

Marcus:  Argh!

Vader:  Ahh!

Marcus pushes Vader over the ledge and he falls to ground level.

Gemini:  No!

Gemini runs to ledge and hurdles over it and lands on the ground.  The others run down the stairs and find Gemini on her knees, holding Vader in her arms.  They stand away at a distance.

Gemini:  No, please!

Vader:  Maya, my sweet.

Gemini starts sobbing.

Vader:  Don't cry.  Instead, take revenge.  Destroy those who have done this to me.

Suddenly, Vader starts to glow and changes into the shape of the Dimocian Beast that he really is.  The others see what is happening.  Gemini starts looking at him in confusion.

Leon:  Look!

Vader:  Please, for me.

Gemini pushes Vader away.

Gemini:  For you, what?

She stands up and backs away.  She looks around and sees her friends behind her.

Gemini:  What's going on here?

Kevin:  He no longer has control over her.

Paige:  Revealing his true self must have hindered the control he had.

Marcus:  It worked!

Gemini walks over to her friends.

Gemini:  Will someone please tell me what's happened and why I had a Dimocian Beast in my   arms?

Kevin:  Not right now.  We've got someone to take care of first.

Vader gets up.

Vader:  Argh!  Curse you, Zodiac Five.  I almost had her and all of you would have been    destroyed.

Leon:  Yeah, well nice try.

Paige:  You would have never succeeded.

Marcus:  Especially since we've got each other to rely on.

Gemini:  Yeah!  When you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.

Kevin:  That's right.  Let's do it, guys!

All:  Celestial change!

The others transform into Zodiac Five.

Gemini:  (posing) Yellow Gemini!

Aries:  (posing) Red Aries!

Taurus:  (posing) Green Taurus!

Pisces:  (posing) Blue Pisces!

Libra:  (posing) Pink Libra!

Gemini:  Celestial Task Force . . .

All:  (posing) Zodiac Five!

Vader:  Argh!  Get them!

The Zoodos run towards Zodiac Five.  Each member takes on a group of Zoodos.  Gemini goes after Vader.

Gemini:  You'll pay for turning me against my friends.  Kyah!

She jumps in the air and kicks Vader who stumbles back.

Vader:  Argh!  You'll have to do better than that.

Gemini:  Be careful of what you ask for.  Gemini Battle Batons!

Gemini starts to pound away at Vader who can't keep up with her speed and agility with her batons.  She finally gives him a final blow which sends him into the air.  The others regroup around her as he lands on the ground.

Aries:  Good work, Gemini.

Libra:  How about a little something that'll really blow his mind?

Gemini:  You got it!

Gemini and Libra run and jump into the air, both doing back layouts in the air and thrusting their arms forward as they come out of it.

Gemini/Libra:  Wind Elemental Assault!

Together they throw a large whirlwind at Vader, sending him spinning into the air and back to the ground.  They girls land back on the ground as the guys catch up to them.

Aries:  Let's put him away for good.

All:  Right!

Aries:  Mars!

Taurus:  Pan Horus!

Pisces:  Neptune!

Gemini:  Mercury!

Libra:  Venus!

Each member calls on his/her ruling planet and an energy sphere forms in his/her hands.

All:  Planetary . . . Immobilizing . . . Attack!

And with the last word they send the energy spheres flying towards Vader who is destroyed upon contact.  Fire explodes around where he once stood.  Through the flames, Gemini can be seen surrounded by her comrades.

Gemini:  Try to control that!

Outside the Kesler Estate, everyone is outside enjoying the afternoon weather.  Maya is staring off into the distance.  Paige sees her teammate in a daze.

Paige:  Maya?  Are you okay?

Maya:  Oh, yeah.  Thanks, Paige.

The others gather around her.

Kevin:  Hey, you'll fall in love again but with the right guy, for the right reasons, with the right   state of mind.

Maya:  I know.  It's just scary to think that real love can actually make you that blind.

Leon:  True, but real love also doesn't require you to compromise anything or lose anyone else   you love, like your friends.

Leon puts his arms around Kevin and Paige.

Maya:  You're exactly right, Leon.  And thank you.  Thank you all.  Without you, who knows   what I could have done back there.  I still don't remember half of it, but I know it had to   be  pretty bad.  And without your help . . . ugh, I'd hate to think about it.

Paige:  Well, actually it was Ma . . .

Marcus interrupts and Paige gives him a confused look.

Marcus:  It was a team effort Maya.  We're just glad you're back with us.

Maya:  Thanks, Marcus.  And what a team we've got.  So, dinner's on me tonight.

Kevin:  Cool!

Leon:  Alright!

Marcus:  Uh, you guys got without me.  I think I'm just gonna lie down for a while.

Maya:  Are you alright?

Marcus:  Yeah.  I'm just a little sore, that's all.

Marcus starts to grab his shoulder and rub it.  Paige realizes what he's talking about.

Paige:  Marcus, I can stay with you and fix you up.

Marcus:  No, really.  Thanks, Paige, but I'll be fine.  Don't worry about me.

Marcus gives Paige a look to reiterate that he'll be fine.

Maya:  Okay, whatever you say.  Let's go guys.

The others head off and Paige looks back to see Marcus walking away with his hands in his pockets and his head down.
