Episode 11: Holiday in the Park?
At the Kesler Estate, Kevin and Leon are tossing around a football. Marcus is playing his guitar
under a tree close by. Maya and Paige run up to the guys waving some tickets in their hands.
Maya: Hey!
Kevin and Leon stop tossing the ball. Marcus looks up.
Kevin: What’s up?
Paige: These.
Paige flashes the tickets. Marcus gets up and walks over to the girls, as do Kevin and Leon.
Marcus: Whatcha got there?
Paige: They’re tickets to the amusement park.
Maya: Yeah, we thought it’d be a good idea to go and have some fun for a change.
Paige: All of us. Together.
Leon: Now that’s the best idea I’ve heard in a long time.
Kevin: Man, I haven’t been to an amusement park in years.
Everyone seems excited about it except for Marcus.
Marcus: I don’t know, guys. I think I’ll pass.
Paige: Oh, c’mon. It’ll be a blast.
Marcus: No, no. I just . . .
Leon: What. Don’t tell me you’re afraid of the big bad roller coaster.
Marcus: Well, as a matter of fact, I am. I’ve never been on one.
Kevin: It isn’t that bad. Just think of as a bumpy ride in the Grand Zodiac King.
Marcus: I don’t know.
Maya: Well, if it’ll help I’ll sit with you on the ride and hold your hand.
Marcus: Don’t patronize me, Maya.
Maya: No, I’m serious. We’re all afraid of something, and sometimes all it takes is a gentle
hand.
Maya looks at Marcus with sincerity and smiles. Marcus’ nervousness slowly disappears. He
too begins to smile.
Marcus: Since you put it that way, how can I refuse?
Kevin: Cool. Let’s get ready.
The gang walks back to the estate to get ready.
At Mount Havoc, Levina is standing in the main cavern. She looks up at the stone figure of
Dimoc and smirks.
Levina: It’s only customary for hunters to mount their game on the wall. And you are my prize
game thus far.
She looks around to evaluate the space of the cavern.
Levina: This place isn’t fit for a queen.
She raises her staff in the air and a throne appears at the feet of Dimoc.
Levina: Perfect.
She sits in the throne as Balizar and Vex walk in. Balizar is disgusted by what he sees.
Balizar: You are ruthless.
Levina: Indeed. Therefore I’d be careful with what you say.
Balizar gets furious and marches towards Levina.
Balizar: Then get it over with now. You have a chance to destroy us, so go ahead. Why do you
keep us alive? It doesn’t take a great sorceress to know that we do not share mutual feelings.
Levina: And it obviously doesn’t take a genius to know that either. You see, Balizar, the
universe is never-ending. That’s a fairly large territory to cover. Of course, I will eventually
become ruler of it, but I can’t be everywhere at one time. That’s where you two come into play.
Although you lack in many abilities, I must commend you for your loyalty.
Balizar: Our loyalty is to Dimoc.
Levina slams the end of her staff on the ground.
Levina: And now your loyalty is to me! Unless, that is, you wish to be added to my collection.
Levina uses the other end of her staff to tap at Dimoc’s stone figure. Balizar clenches his fists
and turns his head.
Levina: Just as I thought. You may value your loyalty to Dimoc, but you’d be a fool not to value
your own life.
Balizar: So what now? What other surprises do you have in that illusive mind of yours?
Levina: You will know in time. But first, I’d like to introduce you to a couple of my
mercenaries.
Levina points her staff and a cloud of smoke appears. Two women walk through the smoke and
kneel before Levina.
Levina: Meet your new lovely comrades: Mystique and Syren.
Mystique/Syren: We are here to serve you, Mistress Levina.
Levina: Ahh, yes. You may have brute strength, Balizar, but these two make up for what you
lack: cunning, intelligence, and beauty.
Balizar and Vex glare at Levina.
Levina: Now, you two go to the surface and introduce yourselves to Zodiac Five. They won’t be
expecting this one.
Mystique/Syren: Yes, your heiness!
At the amusement park, the gang walks around and sees all the park has to offer. They stop to
pose for a group picture. The park worker gives them their claim ticket.
Worker: Just take this to the booth up front when you’re ready to leave.
Paige: Thanks.
Kevin: Okay, let’s get started. Where should we go first?
Leon: I wanna head to the games. I’m feeling kind of competitive.
Paige: I want to ride the parachute ride.
Kevin: What about the roller coasters?
Marcus: I don’t think I’m ready for that yet.
Maya: Listen, it’s obvious we all want to do different things at once. Why don’t we just split up
and meet again later this afternoon.
Leon: Sounds good to me.
Kevin: Which way to the roller coasters?
Paige: No, you have to come with me to the parachute ride. We’ll save the roller coasters for
later when we all meet up.
Paige pulls Kevin away as Leon makes his way to the games. Maya looks at Marcus.
Maya: So?
Marcus: Maya, listen. I don’t want you to feel like you have to baby-sit me. If you wanna go
with the others, go ahead. I’ll be alright.
Maya: Don’t be silly. I wouldn’t leave you to torture yourself about whether or not to ride the
roller coaster. I’m gonna make sure you feel comfortable before you get on.
Marcus: Thanks. I appreciate that. The least I can do is buy you a soda.
Maya: I’d love that.
They walk to a stand and grab a couple of drinks. Marcus pauses a moment to think as Maya
starts to walk off a bit. He refocuses on Maya and realizes how beautiful she really is. He rushes
to catch up with her and nervously calls out to her.
Marcus: Maya! Wait!
She turns around as he shuffles up to her.
Maya: Yes?
Marcus: Um, can I talk to you for a sec?
Maya: Sure, what is it?
Marcus: Well . . .
Marcus looks around and finds a bench.
Marcus: Let’s a have a seat.
Maya: Okay.
Maya seems a little confused by his nervousness as Marcus leads her to a bench and sits down.
He takes a deep breath.
Marcus: Phew! Okay. Um, gee . . . where do I start?
Maya: Well, try from the beginning.
Marcus: Right. Let’s see. Uh, Maya, I remember seeing you in your first swimsuit special in a
magazine. And, uh . . . wow . . . I was amazed. I mean, you’re beautiful and now that I’ve been
able to get closer to you you’re even more beautiful.
Maya: Why, thank you and . . .
Marcus: Wait. Please let me try to do this. Sigh . . . I know that there’s a lot going on and we
have a lot of responsibilities now, but this may be the only chance I get.
Marcus reaches over and grabs Maya’s hand.
Marcus: Maya . . .
Suddenly, two mines pop up from behind the bench and playfully pull Marcus off the bench.
Marcus: No, wait!
Maya starts to giggle as the mimes pull him a few feet from the bench.
Maya: You’re not supposed to say anything. Just play along.
Marcus shrugs his shoulder and sighs. The mimes pretend to enclose Marcus in a box.
Suddenly, they both turn and punch him. Marcus flies through the air and lands on the ground.
Maya gets up from her seat and rushes to Marcus’ aid.
Maya: Marcus!
Marcus grabs his jaw as he gets to his feet.
Marcus: Something tells me that’s not part of the act.
Maya: Who are you two?
The two mimes start laughing. One of them throws glitter into the air and as it falls they
transform to reveal their true selves.
Syren: I’m Syren, with a voice you’ll never forget. Skreech!
Syren lets out a screeching yell, causing Marcus and Maya to cover their ears. Blasts explode in
front of them.
Marcus/Maya: Unh!
At the parachute ride, Kevin and Paige ride it up to the top. They look around to see the entire
park.
Kevin: I never realized how high up these things get.
Paige: Yeah. Isn’t it amazing?
Kevin: Yeah.
Suddenly, Kevin sees the explosion from Marcus and Maya’s attack.
Kevin: Hey, what’s that?
Paige looks over but can’t make anything out.
Paige: I don’t know. Maybe the others are in trouble.
Back where Marcus and Maya are, Mystique introduces herself.
Mystique: I’m Mystique. My voice may not move you but my power will.
Mystique holds out her hand as a handful of crystals appear. She throws them at Marcus and
Maya and the crystals explode on impact as they hit the ground. Marcus and Maya dive and roll
through the smoke and jump in the air. They each step-kick Mystique and Syren and flip in the
air.
Marcus/Maya: Celestial change!
They transform in the air and land on the ground as Pisces and Gemini. They turn around and
get into their personal pose.
Mystique: Fancy moves there, but it’s going to take a little more than flare to impress us.
Gemini: We’re not here to impress anyone, especially you.
Pisces: And you better explain yourselves. Anyone who follows Dimoc is up to no good.
Syren: Dimoc? Ha! Well you’re right about one thing. We are up to no good. Zoodos!
Hords of Zoodos jump through the air as Gemini and Pisces get into a fighting stance. But the
Zoodos run past them and into the park. Pisces looks around confused.
Pisces: What?
Gemini: Oh no! They’re going to terrorize the entire park.
Mystique: That’s right. Can Zodiac Five be at several places at once? Ha, ha, ha!
Mystique and Syren both start laughing and disappear.
Gemini: Pisces, we have to notify the others.
Pisces talks into his Z-Band.
Pisces: Kevin. Leon. Paige.
Leon, who’s surrounded by various stuffed animals he’s won, answers the call.
Leon: Go ahead, Marcus.
Kevin and Paige both listen to Kevin’s Z-Band.
Kevin: Kevin here with Paige.
Pisces: Looks like Levina has two new assistants who’ve let loose several groups of Zoodos
throughout the park.
Kevin: Alright. Looks like we’ll have to split up and take care of them.
Pisces: Gemini and Pisces are out.
Leon: I’m on my way.
Pisces and Gemini make plans to go separate directions.
Pisces: I’m going to go check out some of the show arenas. You just keep an eye open.
Gemini: Alright.
At the parachute ride, Kevin and Paige look around and assess their situation.
Kevin: Well, Paige, I don’t think we can wait for this ride to finish.
Paige: I was thinking the same.
Kevin: Let’s do it!
Kevin/Paige: Celestial change!
Kevin and Paige transform into Aries and Libra. They both nod at each other and flip from the
parachute ride and land down on the ground. The ride attendant looks at them amazed.
Aries: Sorry. The ride was great but we couldn’t wait to get down.
Libra: Aries, where do we start?
Aries: Just go around and look for anything suspicious, but keep in contact.
Libra: Okay.
Aries and Libra split up and make their way through the park. Leon turns to the group of kids
watching win all the stuffed animals.
Leon: Here you go guys. Have fun with them.
The kids thank him as he runs to the back of the game building.
Leon: Celestial change!
Leon transforms into Taurus.
Taurus: Now to find those Zoodos.
Taurus takes off into another area of the park. Meanwhile, Pisces is making his way to the water
show. He enters the arena and sees all the seats are empty. The trainers along with the whales in
the show are practicing.
Pisces: Looks like all is safe here.
Suddenly, Zoodos enter the arena.
Pisces: I spoke too soon.
Pisces attacks the Zoodos. He finds himself a bit outnumbered.
Pisces: Pisces Mega Triton!
Pisces calls on his weapon and continues to attack the Zoodos. The fight leads him to the side of
the tank where Zoodos come at him from both ends.
Pisces: There’s just too many to take on at once by myself.
He looks around and waves at a trainer.
Pisces: Hey! I could use some help here!
The trainer holds a thumbs up and blows her whistle. She makes a few hand gestures, and the
two whales in the tank make their way to the side of the tank where the Zoodos are coming from.
The use their fins to form a wave of water that splashes the Zoodos and knocks them down.
Pisces: Alright! Thanks guys!
The two whales swim to the middle of the tank and jump into the air. The trainer waves at
Pisces. In another area of the park, Aries walks looks around for Zoodos.
Aries: Where could they have gone?
Suddenly, a crowd of screaming people rush away from the haunted house exhibit.
Aries: Now I know a haunted house can be scary, but that is a bit much.
Aries rushes to the haunted house and looks around, but still doesn’t see any Zoodos.
Aries: I know you’re around here somewhere.
The Zoodos jump from the rafters in the ceiling with sickles in their hands.
Aries: Aries Sacred Sword!
Aries attacks the Zoodos with his sword, taking them out one by one.
Aries: Now that’s how you clean house.
Aries rushes out of the haunted house. Libra has made her way to a nearby merry go round
where a panicked mother stops her.
Mother: Please, you have to help me!
Libra: What is it?
Mother: My daughter is on the merry go round with those things.
The mother points as Libra looks at the spinning merry go round to see the Zoodos. A young girl
sits crouched in a carriage.
Libra: Don’t worry. You stay here and I’ll bring your daughter back safely.
Libra rushes to the merry go round and tries to get on, but she’s attacked and knocked away.
Libra: Ahh!
She falls to the ground and rolls away. She pounds her fist to the ground.
Libra: That’s it! Libra Lunar Bow!
Libra calls for her weapon as it appears in her hands. She fires at the Zoodos as the merry go
round continues to spin. One by one she makes a clean shot until there are no more. She runs
back up to the merry go round and helps the girl off.
Libra: It’s going to be alright. Your mother is waiting for you.
Libra leads the girl to her mother, who is waiting with open arms. The girl hugs her mother as
her mother picks her up.
Mother: Thank you.
Libra: I’m glad I can help. Just be careful on your way out.
Mother: We will.
Libra takes off. Taurus runs up to what was a staged western show which was interrupted by a
group of Zoodos. The Zoodos push two stuntmen off the roof of a building that looks like a
saloon. Spectators keep their distance as they look on.
Taurus: Looks like they don’t know how to put on a good show. Aiyah!
Taurus flips into the air and lands on the top of the building.
Taurus: Taurus Double Axe!
Taurus calls on his weapon and attacks the Zoodos, knocking each on off the building. When he
finishes all of them off, the crowd claps and cheers. Taurus modestly takes a bow.
Taurus: Thank you. Thank you.
He jumps off the building and back onto the ground.
Taurus: Show’s over, folks.
He heads off into the park. In another area of the park, Gemini runs by a large water fountain
looking for the Zoodos.
Gemini: I don’t see them anywhere.
Mystique: Nova Crystals!
Mystique jumps in the air and throws a handful of exploding crystals at Gemini.
Gemini: Hunh?
Gemini does a series of back handsprings to avoid the explosions. When she is in the clear, she
pulls out her gun.
Gemini: Z-Magnum!
Gemini fires at Mystique who has landed on the ground. Mystique rolls out of the way to avoid
the shots. Off to the side, Syren uses her voice to disable Gemini. Gemini covers her ears to try
and block out her voice.
Gemini: Ahh!
Syren: Hydra Lash!
Syren pulls our her whip and uses it to grab Gemini around the neck. She pulls on it and Gemini
flies over her.
Gemini: Unh!
Syren continues to throw Gemini over her. On her last attempt, Aries fires a shot from a distance
and breaks the whip to free Gemini.
Aries: Z-Magnum!
Gemini lands into Pisces’ arms.
Pisces: You okay?
Gemini: I think so. Perfect timing.
Pisces: Not when it comes to dealing with them.
Everyone regroups to face Mystique and Syren.
Mystique: Seems as though the cavalry has arrived. How fortunate for you, Yellow Gemini.
Gemini: I’ll always be fortunate standing next to these guys.
Aries: You’ll soon learn that it doesn’t matter who’s sent forth. We’ll always be here to stop
you. Right, team?
All: Right!
Aries: (posing) Red Aries!
Taurus: (posing) Green Taurus!
Pisces: (posing) Blue Pisces!
Gemini: (posing) Yellow Gemini!
Libra: (posing) Pink Libra!
Aries: Celestial Task Force . . .
All: (posing) Zodiac Five!
Mystique: Get them!
Zoodos jump through the air to attack Zodiac Five.
Zodiac Five: Z-Sabers!
Aries and Libra fight a group of Zoodos accompanied by Mystique as the others take on Zoodos
accompanied by Syren. Aries and Libra take the upper hand on the Zoodos but Mystique soon
stops them.
Mystique: Nova Crystals!
Mystique throws a handful of crystals which explode against Aries and Libra’s chest.
Aries/Libra: Argh!
Syren lets out a screeching yell at the others.
Syren: Skreech!
The others drop their swords and cover their ears.
Taurus/Pisces/Gemini: Ahh!
Mystique and Syren get together and send a blast at Zodiac Five.
Mystique/Syren: Double Expulsion Beam!
The ground explodes around Zodiac Five as they are sent flying through the air.
Aries: Argh!
Taurus/Libra: Ahh!
Pisces/Gemini: Unh!
They land back on the ground and struggle to get up.
Mystique: Ha, ha, ha! Levina didn’t say it would be this easy.
Syren: The five of your are no threat to us.
Taurus: C’mon, guys!
Gemini: We can’t let them get away with this.
Pisces: We’ll never live this one down.
Libra: We have to somehow regroup.
Aries: I’ve got an idea. Everyone, we’ll attack without giving them a chance to regroup.
Perform your Elemental Assaults.
All: Okay!
Zodiac Five gets back to their feet and into a fight stance. Mystique and Syren look on.
Mystique: Did you finally get your second wind?
Syren: Give it your best, Zodiac Five!
Aries: You asked for it. Now!
Gemini/Libra: Aiyah!
Gemini and Libra jump into the air and perform their attack.
Gemini/Libra: Wind Elemental Assault!
Mystique and Syren are caught in the whirlwind and thrown into the air. In the meantime, Pisces
performs his attack.
Pisces: Water Elemental Assault!
Still in the air, Mystique and Syren are hit by Pisces’ attack as blasts explode across their chests
before the hit the ground. When they finally do, Taurus performs his attack.
Taurus: Earth Elemental Assault!
As they try to get up, the ground shakes and explodes around them.
Mystique/Syren: Ahh!
Aries: Fire Elemental Assault!
Aries finishes the brutal attack with his special attack. A ring of fire forms around them and the
ground explodes again. Zodiac Five regroups as Mystique and Syren struggle to stand.
Mystique: Argh! We’ll get you next time, Zodiac Five!
Syren: You can count on that!
Mystique and Syren disappear. Everyone regroups.
Aries: Great job, team.
Taurus: Yeah, but it looks like we have a couple more goons to deal with now.
Libra: Like Aries said before, it doesn’t matter who Levina sends, as long as we stand together
nothing will stop us from victory.
Aries: You couldn’t have said that any better.
Aries puts his hand out as the others put their hand on top of his.
At Mount Havoc, Mystique and Syren return and kneel before Levina. Balizar has a smirk on his
face as he stands off to the side with Vex.
Mystique: We have failed you, Levina.
Syren: Our sincerest apologies, my queen.
Levina: Don’t you worry yourselves. Our time will come to destroy Zodiac Five. You now have
a first hand taste of what they are capable of. So prepare yourselves for next time.
Mystique/Syren: Yes, your heiness!
Back at the amusement park, Marcus and Maya are walking through the crowd. Maya nervouslybegins her conversation.
Maya: Marcus, before we were interrupted by the Dimocians you were trying to tell me
something.
Marcus: Oh, yeah. Um, I think maybe we should talk about it some other time.
Maya: (disappointed) Oh.
Marcus: I mean, I don’t want you to that what I wanted to say wasn’t important. I’m just
beginning to think now isn’t a good time.
Maya: Promise me that you’ll tell me someday?
Marcus: I will.
They both just stand there in the awkward moment.
Marcus: Hey, how ‘bout I try to win you one of those oversized gorillas?
Maya: (smiling) I’d like to at least see you try.
Marcus: Oh, so you don’t think I’m capable?
Maya: We’ll find out after I have a gorilla in my hands.
Marcus: C’mon.
Marcus takes Maya by the hand and leads her to the nearest game booth.
