Greetings, fellow Netizen and welcome to my
personal homepage dedicated to the much acclaimed Squaresoft's Final Fantasy
VIII. Most of us would have finished playing the game right now, but the
beautifully-woven storyline (it's not a fairy tale, ok) and superb CG if FFVIII
would remain etched in the minds of many for years to come. That's what makes it
stand out from the rest of the "lame" hack -'em- up games saturating
market nowadays. Perhaps the most riveting part is that we can relate most, if
not all of the situation portrayed throughout the game. It deals with
friendship, justice, adventure, love, hatred, lust for power and
good-triumphs-over-evil, sometimes with tragic ending (like when Tifa died in
FF7). Thus, it's not surprising that the series has garnered so many fans around
the globe.
You may wonder why I still want to construct
this site - I mean, FFVIII has been released quite some time and now gamers are
talking about FFIX... Well, first, I am only able to play it on PC platform, not
PSX and secondly, I have to replay certain parts of the game to get the
"overall picture" of the plot. Besides, all the contents of this site
is written by me alone; I do not ask permission from other sites to put the
characters' profile, reviews, etc on my site. So it's quite an ordeal :)
Rather than featuring the game's walkthrough,
weapons/items guide, etc (you can find a lot of these sites everywhere in the
Net) my site will focus primarily on the gist of the epic (the aspect which
makes such a deep impact on the player, not the game - in my humble opinion),
plus some other miscellaneous stuff as well.
After all, it could be your final fantasy...
