About Us

Welcome to the world of the Circuit Beavers. Your hosts and webmasters are Miyazawa and Sparkling Mello. This page currently serves to inform and satisfy your curiousity about the flesh and blood behind the computers.

Originally, this webpage belonged to Sparkling Mello. It was basically just a dinky, anonymous, and horrible home page. Eventually, with more confidence and a developing interest in anime, it turned into a multi-anime info/image gallery/fan works/links page. However, if you have tried or made a webpage with several series info and stuff, you realize it is a LOT of work. So this project was abandonded, until a good friend from PGA introduced her to the series Utena. AIM also helped enormously as well (so now we know AOL is good for something^-^), when Miyazawa stumbled upon her screen name while looking for people to chat anime with.

After some time, Miyazawa and Mello finally developed thier first joint-effort webpage, dedicated to the anime Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Specifically, to the character of Kaoru Miki. Since then, Rhapsody in Blue has gone under extensive changes, from the feel of the webpage to the name itself. They also now go under the name of Circuit Beavers, which is a small branch off of the PGA, although Miyazawa was never a member of this.

The advantages of two webmasters are great. There is less lag time between updates, a ddown side to many super webpages. Combining webpage knowledge is also a plus.

Currently, RIB is again "going under the knife" as of 2/1/00. You may have also noticed that the RIB index page has a menu leading to other inactive pages. These will also soon be up and running. Thanks for visiting!

"The things that we see," Pistorius said softly, "are the same things that are within us. There is no reality except the one contained within us. That is why so many people live such an unreal life. They take the images outside them for reality and never allow the world within to asset itself. You can be happy that way. But once you know the other interpretation you no longer have the choice of following the crowd. Sinclair, the majority's path is an easy one, ours is difficult."

PGA

PGA is the original mother-ship that the Circuit Beavers derived from. Now a defunct music/performance art/humour/miscellaneous group, all members are still alive and well, pursuing their own interests in private. Although everyone is mostly amiacable to one another, there are many reasons for thier permanent hiatus from the performing world.

Musically, the PGA was a maniac medley of instruments, ranging from the viola to the ukele to the bongos to the bass guitar to the kazoo. Ultimately, this wide range also proved to be disasterous for the group; composing and arranging for so many instruments in so many keys were tedious and difficult. And while their concerts and first release, Epynonono-desu from Staller Records, were extremely sucessful, the effort was too much. Sparkling Mello, the main arranger, suffered an ulcer and Ringo, the official artist, was institutionalized for overdosing while coming up for inspiration.

Internal disputes also contributed to the break up of PGA. Petty jealousy, stress, and perhaps too much time together made it necessary to take a time out. And during this period, they all realized it was for the better to break the PGA if they still wanted to remain friends. With the exception of one member, everyone is still in contact with each other.

Ringo, one member, continues on her own, running her own webpage, defect, which is pretty cool. Mart has moved on to another city, but visits every so often.

The PGA, although having lived a brief life span, will remain in our hearts forever. Arigatou, minna-san.
