Deep space. The wreckage of a space freighter. The
massive ship of Shuurin. Lights sweep over the wreckage looking for salvageable
scrap. "Sir, I think we found something." One of the computer operators
reports.
"What is it?" Asks the main officer.
"Looks like a stasis pod." Replies the operator.
"Send someone out to get it."
"Yes sir."
"We're approaching now." The voice declares over
the com system. The monitors show three humanoid shapes drifting towards
a cylindrical shaped object. "Confirmation. It is a stasis pod, and there's
someone in it. A female, appears to be adolescent. Markings on the pod
are two nines."
"Okay. Bring her in. She might be someone important."
The officer orders.
"Yes sir. Attaching cables now."
Shuurin's office onboard his flag ship Oracanta.
"So you found a child floating in space, and this should concern me WHY?"
He asks annoyedly.
"Well.. uh.. sir..." The officer says nervously.
"I don't have all day. And neither do you."
The officer gulped nervously at the thinly veiled
threat. Shuurin wasn't the type of person to take kindly to people wasting
his time, but he rewarded those who brought him important information.
"Sir, the girl contains dna of what seems like every sentient being ever.
It's just a guess because a lot of it is unknown."
Shuurin looked pleasantly surprised. "That is intriguing..
Anything else?"
The officer smiled, feeling pleased with himself.
"Yes sir. Apparently, she has an artificial skeleton, and highly advanced
nanotechnology."
Shuurin grinned, he had two grins. An evil one,
which could scare the wits out of any demon, and a kind one, that could
charm any girl, and had on several occasions, into his bed willingly. "You've
just earned yourself a heft bonus."
The officer grinned and relaxed completely. Then
he frowned remembering something he felt was the most important. "Sir,
uh... apparently, her aura has the potential to be strong.. maybe even
more so then yours..." He somewhat lied, he was informed that it would
in fact surpass Shuurin's quite easily.
"Then we'll have to see to it that she is completely
and utterly loyal to me." Shuurin grinned and turned to look back out the
window. "Let's go see this machine girl."
In the research section of the ship, the stasis
pod was hooked up to machines of every possible size. Several wires had
been punched through the window of the pod and where attached to the unconcious
girl inside. Shuurin peered in the glass and looked at the young girl.
His eyes traveled up and down her body. She was clothed in a tight black
body suit, red shorts and black gloves that cover he entire forearms. Her
short blonde hair laid motionless on the bed. He had no doubt that she
was built for battle looking at her. He also had know doubt that she would
be just as good in other things. "She cute." He commented to the head researcher.
"It's absolutely amazing." The researcher replied
excitedly.
"SHE." Shuurin corrected him, he could tell that
what ever she was, she was clearly female.
"She," The researcher amended. "is absolutely amazing.
Her DNA is so complex. Most species have 2 to 4 strands, she has FIVE HUNDRED
TIMES that." The researcher was bouncing around looking at read outs. Shuurin
was following him somewhat annoyedly. How he'd rather not have to deal
with these people, and just kill them all, but they where a necessary evil.
And one that he would have to tolerate, as long as he wanted to keep his
galactic empire under heal. The researcher picked up a print out off of
a pile of them and began reading aloud. "Saiyajin... Youma... Nemekian...
Sirian... Ocanthian... so many more that we don't even know... this is
astounding..."
"Can you erase her memories and reprogram her?"
Shuurin asked curiously.
The researcher looked at him some what surprised
and some what not understanding. "Why.. yes, I suppose we could, but why
would we want to do that?"
Shuurin took two menacing steps towards the smaller
man "Because, I want her. I want her awake, and I want her completely loyal
to me. I want her to do whatever I ask."
"Why, why.. yes, we can.. It shouldn't be to hard,
she has a technorganic brain... Shouldn't be to hard to access her memories
and implant new ones."
"Good. Then do it." Shuurin ordered, then turned
to leave.
Over the course of the next few weeks Shuurin kept
a close eye on the pace of the reprograming of the girl that had been named
Kyuujyuukyuu after the number on her pod. When he felt that the process
was lagging he made his presence known and immediately the pace picked
back up.
On the forth week, he was informed that she would
be ready within the next few days. He decided it would be better for his
plans if he was there when she awoke from her "coma." It would better suit
his image of concerned mentor and teacher. It turned out that she awoke
much sooner then could have been anticipated. When he got to the lab she
had been in, she was awake and demanding answers.
"Kyuu..." Shuurin spoke to her softly, "Please,
calm down."
"Shuu... sama?" She asked him confusedly, like she
knew him but didn't. He suddenly felt his temper flair that the idiots
didn't do there "easy" job well enough. "What's going on?" She ask him,
seeming calmer.
"There was a fight, you where injured and comatose.
I'm sorry I couldn't be here when you awoke, but I had to take care of
something." Shuurin spoke to her a softly and remorsefully as he could.
He followed it up with his enticing grin.
"It's.. it's okay.." Kyuu replied shakily. "I don't
remember the fight..." She added somewhat confused.
"It's to be expected. You have amnesia. They said
it would be a strong possibility." Shuurin made up on the spot flawlessly.
"Oh.." Kyuu said softly and walked up to Shuurin.
"Can you take me to my room?" she asked.
"Of course my dear." Shuurin said with a smirk.
Even though they apparently screwed almost everything up, the got something
right. She was under his thumb.
Some where on earth. A young girl dives off a cliff
into crystal clear water. She breaks surface at the only spot to climb
out and rests her arms on the rock and smirks at the young man crouching
there. "Enjoying yourself?" She asks smugly.
The man grins sweetly "Of course. But did you know
that there's a fish in this water that likes to swim up"
"I'M wearing a bathing suit thank you very much."
She interrupted him.
"Yeah, but that never stopped this fish. Actually,
it's more like an eel..."
"Well Rokujin, if this 'eel' tries it, it will find
itself cut in two."
Rokujin blinked. "Er... ok." He pulled his long
black and silver striped hair back and took off his shirt before climbing
up to the diving rock.
The girl smirked and hoisted herself out of the
water and pushed back her shoulder length blue hair so it was out of her
eyes. "Careful 'Jin. It's slippery..." She warned him too late.
"Ahhhh!" He yelled as he slipped off and hit the
water making a splash.
"You ok." She said mockingly.
"Haroko I swear.. I WILL get you." Rokujin declared
as he swam towards her.
"Yeah Jin. If anyone can get our 'Ice Queen' you
can, right?" A new voice said. The figure was standing towards the path
back through the woods. Despite the hot day, he was wearing a long hooded
cloak.
"As IF Hayato." Haroko said coldly as she got up
and walked away from Rokujin as he was getting out of the water.
"Hey Hayato. And thanks for the vote of confidence,
but I don't think anyone could get her to loosen up. By the way, you're
a bit late."
Haroko strolled over to a flat rock that the sun
was shining on and layed back in the sun. "Couldn't be avoided." Hayato
apologized. "You know how it is. Someone wants to take over your home,
and then they find out it's not as easy as they thought."
Haroko's ears perked and she sat up on her elbows.
"Who was it?"
"I don't know." Hayato answered.
"Didn't they have any of the clans markings?" Rokujin
asked.
"Nope. They weren't even human." Hayato replied.
"Did you call Cloudewalker?" Rokujin asked.
"Yes."
"What did they look like?" Haroko asked.
"Monsters. Seven or eight feet tall, immensely strong
and ugly. Large spikes at the ends of their arms. No hands and not a lot
of brains." Hayato explained. "Obviously, who ever sent them either was
testing me, or they simply didn't care about the things."
"Was there any brandings?" Haroko asked curiously.
"Nope. That's the oddest thing."
Kyuujyuukyuu was sitting in the most comfortable
chair she'd ever seen, or remembered seeing. She didn't feel to comfortable,
and she kept glancing at Shuurin. Something was nagging her, but she couldn't
put her finger on it. He smiled at her and winked. She had spent the night
with him, at his request. She simply felt like she had to obey him. Something
told her, no screamed at her not to, but she couldn't help it. It was like
she was programed to. The weird furry guy, Guei was his name, was explaining
to her that her mission was to go to earth and spy on the people at the
earth temple. He said something about them being the ones that had killed
her people, along with a few others, years before. She didn't remember
having any people, Shuurin told her that it was the amnesia. She didn't
really know, but she simply had to trust him. She knew no one else. Guei
was explaining the people at the temple and their powers. Hayato Yokoyama
had total control over the earth. She wrote that down and made a note to
keep him away from the land if she fought him. Rokujin Daikoku was a warrior
in training. He was learning to fight from Hayato. Not much was known about
him. Lastly was Haroko Jurojin. Shuurin smiled at the picture of the young
blue haired girl. Kyuujyuukyuu shuddered as she realized that he wanted
her. She didn't know why that bothered her so much, just something about
it did. Evidently Shuurin saw her involuntary shudder.
"Anything wrong?" He asked her.
"No Shuu. Everything's fine. Just got a cold chill."
She replied warmly.
"OK. Are you ready to go?" He asked her.
"Yes, I believe so."
"Good. Guei will show you to the pod. You'll land
there not long after our first wave strikes."
"Yes, that's good." She replied and got up and walked
to the hanger not really waiting for Guei.
"Is this wise sir?" Guei asked Shuurin after she
left.
"Yes, if she fails she not worth the time it took
to reprogram her. If she pulls this off, the she'll make an excellent addition.
Don't you think?" Shuurin asked self assuredly. He put his feet up on the
table and Guei sighed and left to follow Kyuujyuukyuu.
Haroko decided to dive into the water one last time.
She didn't see the pod streak across the sky as it entered the atmosphere.
She dove into the water with out making a splash. When she came up she
saw perhaps the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. The girl's blond
hair was shorter then her own, she wore a red jacked over a black shirt
and black shorts with thigh high leggings. The girl smiled at her. "Hi.
My names Kyuu."
To be continued.
