Translation (Chouchou = "Butterfly")
When I was young
At this place among the plants and blooming flowers
A butterfly would be singing its song of love

Listen to its song; a soft breeze
I would start to dream and I'd oversleep
Angering my mother and making me cry

Then on that clear day, I met you
Not even knowing your name...

I couldn't say a word
I fell in love with you the moment I saw you
Only seeing your vanishing silhouette in the bright sun.

Over time, the buildings have lined up here
Silencing the voices of the insects, ripping it apart.

Is this the road I remember?
I have turned into a butterfly and now only I sing alone

I will flutter between the buildings looking for you
In the crack of the asphalt, a flower has bloomed
Will I make it in time to see you again?

I couldn't say a word
I fell in love with you the moment I saw you
When touched by an adult's hand, I can't seem to fly away
So I sing...

Among the buildings, I fluttered quickly to find you
My very first love
Will I ever return to that day?
I want to see you once again...
