A radio play is where voice actors act out lines of a scene or play on a sound file. The sound files are then mixed together with sfx, put in order and voila! You have a scene you can listen to, with voice actors acting!
Cool! So how can I be a part of this?
You can be a part of this production in two ways, you can be a VA(voice actor), or you can be part of the Production Crew!
I wanna be a VA! How can I become a voice of a character?
Simply go to the "Audition" section of the site, select the character you would like to audition for, record the lines written for that character and send them to me!
First of all, you need a microphone. Then you need a recorder program to record the lines. If you have Windows, you should already have Sound Recorder, which is fine to use, but only allows you to record a limited amount of time. Some people recommend Cool Edit, which lets you record longer.
I wanna be in the Production Crew! What do I do?
Well, in the production crew, you help me mix the lines with the sfx, and put them all together. Also, you help gather the sound effects needed.
I really want to audition for a character, but that character is taken! Can I still audition?
You may audition to be an understudy, but only for the main characters. If both main & understudy parts are taken, please do not audition. I will take the audition lines off the audition page once the part is taken. E-mail me if you wish to be an understudy. I will send you the audition lines.
How many parts can I audition for?
You may audition for as many parts as you wish. Keep in mine that you may only be cast for one main role, two secondary roles and four extra roles.
I didn't get the part the first time I auditioned! Can I try again?
You may try again! Usually, I'll send back an e-mail that will tell you which part you are better suited for if you didn't get the part you auditioned for. In that case, please audition for that other character!
