Wanderlust

The wanderlust of adventure calls me
Piquing me to reveal unseen sides of myself

I mourn the deaths of these other selves
As I moil to make a new me in the stubborn here and now

The plaintive whine of passion denied make me wonder
Am I really being disciplined or merely cheating myself?
