Hello again to all you Sailor Moon fanfic readers. This is my third fic.
This story takes place a few months after Phantom on the Moon, and
completely replaces Sailor Moon S. I read summaries about Sailor Moon S
and didn't like the idea of heart crystals coming out of people's chests.
I'm using all DIC names, except for the Outer Scouts, since they don't
have any DIC names, yet. Amy, Serena, Lita, and Mina are 15, Ray, and
Molly are 16, and Darien is 20. As for the Outer Scouts' ages, I don't
know, use your imagination.

Legend of the Excaliber: Prologue - The Arrival

Deep in space, a starship traveled through space at speeds
faster then light. It is a small ship, as big as a C-5, and shaped
almost like an SR-71, only with no tails, and was coated silver, not
black. Its crew called it, the Crystal Phoenix, a prototype luxury
yacht. Their destination, the Solar system. It was manned by about 7
people plus the Prince and Princess that are on board.

The Princess, is a tall, beautiful lady. She has long curly
dark red hair that went down to just below her shoulders, and sky blue
eyes. She is wearing a tiara, and a bright white dress with gold laces
at the top of her dress. Her name, is Princess Rachel, one of many
Silver Millennium princesses. She is also a Sailor Scout, but her
duties involve defending the Silver Millennium, and performing
diplomatic missions. When she calls her powers she becomes Sailor
Selene.

The Prince, is Prince Mark of the planet Venus, and Princess
Rachel's husband. The two met at a diplomatic conference on the Moon
one day and fell in love shortly after. Then, a year after they met,
the got married. Prince Mark was as tall as Rachel, and had Blond hair,
that didn't even pass his ears, and also had Sky blue eyes. He was
wearing his bright yellow, with silver seams, warrior's uniform with a
sward strapped to its hilt on his side. When he summons his powers, he
becomes the Venus Knight, protector of Princess Rachel and the planet
Venus.

The two have just finished a diplomatic mission to a distant
star system, and were now heading home. On the way home, the Crystal
Phoenix encountered an ion storm, but got though it with minimal damage,
and repair crews were finishing the last of the repairs. Both Princess
and Prince were in their quarters talking about each others' sisters,
and how they wanted to see them again soon. Prince Mark asked, "So,
what has your 8 year old sister been up to these days? I noticed you
wrote her a letter almost everyday, telling her about all the 'Boring
diplomatic sessions.'"

Rachel laughed at that, "Ya, they tended to be boring. As for
my sister, I've gotten nothing but 'Why does being a princess have to be
so hard,'" and went into more giggling. "Did you keep in touch with
Mina while we were away?"

Mark answered, "Yep. She always tells me about her entire day
with the rest of the Younger Scouts, and Princess Serena. She and the
rest of her 8 year old friends always seem to have a blast. Say, rumor
has it you might be able to get tested to see if your powers are strong
enough to control the Lunar Excaliber. Is this true?" A smile was
definitely plastered onto Prince Mark's face. He was very proud of how
well his wife's training has progressed.

Princess Rachel smiled, "Yep, if I pass, I'll be able to fulfill
my destiny as the defender of the Moon, finally. No one has ever been
strong enough with their powers to control the sword's powers in over a
millennia. How my family managed to keep it a secret, if not just a
legend to our people, I'll never know." The couple felt the ship slow
down, "Feels like we've gone to sub-light engines." Prince Mark agreed.

Just then the intercom sounded, "Princess Rachel to the bridge."
Both were puzzled. Why they would be summoned to the bridge, but got up
and walked there.

The royal couple got onto the bridge shortly after, and the
captain walked up to them and bowed, "Your majesties, we have arrived at
the Solar system. We were planning to stop at Pluto for fuel, but when
we got into visual range, we saw this." He called of the viewing screen
to show them Pluto. What the royal couple saw made them gasp in heart
stopping horror. Where the planet Pluto was suppose to be, a
beautifully forested planet with vast blue oceans, they saw a planet
that was nothing but one big ball of ice.

Princess Rachel looked at the captain, "What happened to Pluto?"

The Captain answered, "We don't know. According to sensors,
Pluto is now lifeless, and uninhabitable. No buildings, transports,
nothing. It's as if the planet was never inhabited." Rachel and Mark
bowed their heads, mooring the loss of life.

Prince Mark spoke up, "Did you contact the Moon?"

The Captain reported, "We tried, but got no response."

Princess Rachel spoke up, "Captain, take the ship to the Moon.
Plot a course that will take us past the other outer planets along the
way."

"Yes, your majesty," the Captain replied.

The Ship traveled for many hours. The Crystal Phoenix passed by
Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. All planets giving the same
results. No life, and no longer habitable. The royal couple ordered
probes to be sent to Mercury and Venus, and were worried that their
sisters may now be dead along with everybody else in the Solar system.
Everyone on board has heard of the tragedy by now, were grieving for
their loss. Finally, the ship reached its destination, the Moon.

Princess Rachel was now very nervous. Part of her didn't want
to see the Moon, but the rest of her knew it had to be done. Finally,
she got the nerve, "On screen." What she saw was what she feared. Not
5 months ago, the moon was a beautiful place. Now all that was left was
a gray ball of dust. Princess Rachel collapse to the ground and cried
hard. Mark came and comforted her, yet he knew Mina was probably dead,
along with everyone else on the Moon.

Just then the captain reported, "Scans from Mercury and Venus
are in," after a moment's hesitation he said, "I'm sorry, Prince Mark.
Venus is also dead. No life, and uninhabitable, Mercury too." Everyone
on board hung their heads to morn the death of everyone in the Solar
system. Just then one of the scanners went off. The Science officer
checked it out and asked the Captain to take a look. He gasped out loud.

This brought Rachel out of her sobbing, "Wha.....What is it
Captain?"

The Captain turned to face Princess Rachel, and smiled, "I've
got something good to report. Earth's population is thriving in the
billions. Plus, the scanners have found the Silver Imperium Crystal on
Earth also."

"What? Are you saying the people of the Moon might have moved
to Earth.," Rachel asked, hope shining in her eyes.

The Captain took another look, and frond, "Inconclusive at this
time. Earth's technology seems to have gotten primitive. They're using
old radio waves, old means of fuel, and their tracking systems are also
reduced in efficiency. From the looks of things we've gathered, I'd say
the Solar system lost most of its life a thousand years ago."

Rachel was shocked, "But that's impossible. We were only gone
for 5 months."

The Captain explained, "Normally I'd agree with you, but you are
forgetting, that ion storm we traveled through was strange. Different
from the usual ion storm."

Mark spoke up, "Are you saying it took us into the future?"

The Captain nodded, "By at least 800 years, maybe more." Just
then. there was a loud explosion and the ship jolted. Alarms were going
off all over the bridge. After being knocked off his feet, the captain
commanded, "Status report."

One of the officers spoke up, "I think we hit an old space mine,
sir. The starboard engine took a direct hit from the explosion, and is
damaged. If we don't shut it down in 10 minutes, It'll explode from
over heating. Main Power is off line. I suggest we land on Earth
immediately."

The Captain gave the order, "Set us down as close to the
coordinates of the Silver Crystal as possible. It's possible the people
of Earth may have forgotten about the Silver Millennium. Engage
cloaking device. Can we land with one engine," at the officer's nod,
"Good, shut the starboard engine down, and prepare for emergency
landing." The crippled ship flew toward Earth and suddenly disappeared
from site as the cloaking device kick in. Re-entry proved to be
difficult, but successful task.

As the ship began to approach an island on the Earth's eastern
hemisphere, the helm reported, "Port side engine is beginning to
overheat."

The Captain cursed at himself, then said, "Set us down at that
beach dead ahead."

The Crystal Phoenix approached a shore line and dropped its
cloak as it began its landing sequence. The landing struts were lowered
and the landing rays fired up as the ship came to a stop over the beach
before it landed with no further complications. "I want a full damage
report ASAP," The Captain ordered. After he got the report 5 minutes
later, he informed the Prince and Princess, "Everything is so badly
damaged you majesties, it will take a month to get her space worthy
again."

"That's perfectly all right, Captain. This gives us time to
find out what happened to the Silver Millennium, and what happened to
Earth's technology, as well as many other unanswered questions. One
thing is for certain. If I find it, I will claim the Lunar Excaliber.
If it fell into the wrong hands, the universe is doomed."

The Negaverse:

A tall figure sat in a throne. He had been seeing to damage
through out the Negaverse ever since his sister's defeat. The day he
learned of his sister's, Queen Beryl's, death, he vowed he would get
revenge on the one responsible. However, King Onix had many things he
had to contend with first. The battle with the Sailor Scouts made a lot
of damage and it took all this time just to recover and repair the
damage. Now that it was done, he needed to collect the energy he needed
to fight the Sailor Scouts. To do that, he planned to get his hands on
the Silver Crystal's only rival, the Lunar Excaliber.

King Onix was a tall, well trimmed man. He had on a gray battle
armor, that looked almost like the negaverse general's uniform, with a
gray and white cape on it. His hair and eyes were the same color, dark
gray.

Just then four people entered the throne room, and bowed to
their king. They were wearing uniforms of the generals of the
negaverse. General Maverick, the fourth general to King Onix, was the
weakest powered of the group. He felt he could take the Scouts, if he
had to, but because he was still training his powers, he let his troops
do the work as often as possible. He looked similar to Jedite, only had
white hair, and eyes, instead of blond and blue. Like Jedite, he also
had psychic powers, but were a little weak, even compared to Jedite,
when he first fought Sailor Moon.

General Viper, the 3rd general, was the next general in the
command line. His physical features, and his powers were similar to
Nephrite's powers. He had blond wavy hair that was as long as
Nephrite's, and had blue eyes. He believed the stars ruled everything,
and told him only what they wanted to tell him. His powers were good,
compared to Zoisite's. He tended to do the difficult tasks on his own,
but would use his men when a simple job came along.

The 2nd general, General Ironite, was a good and formidable
opponent in combat. He tended to do all the work, rarely letting his
men do the fun. His features were similar to Zoisite's, but had brown
hair instead of blond, plus his eyes are also brown. His powers
involved the use of crystal spears which he could through with the
greatest of ease.

Finally, there was General Riker. He's the 1st General to King
Onix and the lead General in command of all negaverse armies. Because
of his high position, he had no men to command. he just issued orders
to the other generals, who relayed them to their troops. His features
were the same as Malachite’s, only had blond hair, and gray eyes. His
abilities involved absorbing enemy attacks, and throughing them right
back at their owners. This man is very strong even compared to Queen
Beryl, but was no where near as strong as King Onix.

The four generals bowed to their King, before General Riker
reported, "We have finished restoring the old base on Earth and we'll be
ready to start our first attempts to gain energy shortly. Your majesty,
If I may ask, why are you so interested in the Lunar Excaliber? I
believed it to be only a legend, and, assuming it's true, it hasn't been
seen in over two millennia."

The King of the Negaverse just laughed, "I commend you for your
work, gentle man. To answer your question, General Riker, that sword is
no legend. The story is very much true. The royal family of the Moon
went to great lengths to keep it a secret, but I had some sources at the
time that confirmed its existence. Once we find that sward, not even the
brat, Sailor Moon and her crystal, will be able to stop us. General
Maverick, I want you to start the energy gathering process as soon as
work at the base is done. General Viper, I want you to look into any
leads, no matter how small, as to where the Excaliber is, understand,"
at the Generals' nods, "Good, you're all dismissed." The Generals left
the room and the King thought, "And with Sailor Moon out of the way, and
the Lunar Excaliber in my hands, I'll destroy this sorry excuse for a
planet." The King began to laugh very evilly.

Tokyo

It was night time in the city of Tokyo. Most of the citizens
were asleep. In one particular house though, one individual sat up in a
snap, gasping for air, and sweaty to the bone. This woke Luna up, and
was about to lecture Serena on ruddily waking her up, when she noticed
how pale Serena looked, "Serena, are you all right?"

Serena nodded her head a few times, before she would trust her
voice to say, "Ya, Luna. I'm fine. Just had a strange dream, more like
a nightmare. "

Luna still looked a little worried, "Are you sure? Do you want
to talk about it? "

"No, that's ok, Luna. I'll be fine. ,"
Serena said, "Good night Luna." Serena went back to sleep.

	"Sweep dreams Serena," Luna replied.

The next morning an alarm clock went off. Luna expected Serena
to ignore it and go back to sleep, but to her surprise, Serena shut it
off, gently, and got out of bed to start the day, ""

"Good Morning, Luna. Sleep well," Serena asked, as she got into
her school uniform.

"Yes I did Serena. Were you able to sleep ok after your
nightmare," Luna asked, with worry in her voice. Luna really didn't
sleep well, but told Serena she did so not to worry her. Luna had been
worried about Serena all night about that nightmare, ""

Serena replied, "Like a rock, Luna. "

Luna decided to bring up another subject that has been on the
table ever since she got back from the Silver Millennium a few month ago,
"Another thing, Serena. When do you plan to tell me, and the rest of
the Scouts, who Sailor Earth is?"

Serena moaned at this. Ever since Serena met Sailor Earth, on
the Moon, she felt she had no right to interfere in her normal life, if
she can help it, "Luna I told you, I don't think it's necessary to make
her a Sailor Scout right now. "

"Serena, one of these days, your going to have to tell us, you
know," Luna stated as Serena put on the last touch to her uniform.

"Well, I'll worry about that when it's time," with that, Serena
went down stairs to eat breakfast. Her family didn't pay attention to
her entrance as they were use to this by now. Serena ate and ran to
school, and was early, for the 7th time these past two weeks.

Not far from Tokyo, the crew of the Crystal Phoenix was making
repairs and Rachel and Mark were getting ready to head into town.
Rachel asked the Captain, "And your sure the Crystal is in that town?"

"Yes, your majesty," the Captain replied, he showed her a map of
Tokyo and pointed to the Juban district, "The scanners managed to pin
point it to some where in this area. That's the best I can give you.
The scanners are still damaged from the space mine, and couldn't be any
more specific."

Rachel took the communicator the Captain offered, "Inform me
with any progress you make. Until further notice, we are working under
cover. Which means you may not get us once in a while." The Captain
agreed.

Just then, Prince Mark walked up from behind, and embraced
Princess Rachel in a hug, "Shall we go, honey"

Rachel smiled, feeling like she was in heaven in her husband's
arms, "I'm ready, dear." The two started walking toward the town they
detected the crystal in.

Prince Mark noticed how tired, and nervous, his wife was,
"Honey, are you all right?

"Ya, I'm fine. Just had a sad dream last night, plus I want to
know who has the Silver Crystal. It better be someone who is part of
the royal family of the Moon, or I’ll be mad as heck," Rachel replied.

"I'm sure it is. What was your sad dream about." Mark asked.

"I dreamed about my sister last night. It was just very sad,
knowing she's dead, and I'm not," at this point, Rachel went into tears
again. Mark did the only thing he could think of, he embraced her in a
comforting hug, and let her cry, as they resumed their journey to Tokyo.

Well, what do you think? Will the scouts be able to fight this new evil
from the Negaverse? What planet does Princess Rachel represent? Who
is her sister? And where is this Lunar Excaliber? The next chapter will
be here very soon, Chapter 1 - Enter Sailor Selene. Send all comments
