Legend of the Excaliber - Chapter 4: Hearts from the Pink One
She’s been standing just outside the park for a good hour now
on another sunny day in Tokyo, "Where is Darien? He said he’d meet me
here by 11, and it’s almost 12." Last night, Darien asked Serena out
on a date in the lake on a row boat, and of course Serena dreamily
accepted.
Just then Darien came into view and approached Serena. Before
Serena could ask what kept him, Darien took Serena’s head in his
hands, and kissed her with all the passion he knew he had, until the
need for air brought their lips apart. Darien asked, sweaty, "How’s
my meatball head today?"
Serena could only blush and turn her head away and replied,
"I’m fine." She couldn’t help how happy she was in Darien’s arms and
wanted this moment to last forever. The young couple walked into the
park, still in each others embrace, and to the lake to rent a row boat
for the afternoon.
Rachel ran into the Crown Arcade, "Sorry I’m late Andrew. I
over slept."
Andrew chuckled a little, "That’s ok. I know someone who is
late most of the time to just about anything that’s scheduled for her."
"Oh," was her reply, while raising an eyebrow, "Have I met
this person yet?"
"No, not unless you met her outside the arcade. She is a
regular here, but she’s usually here late in the afternoon, when your
off duty."
"What’s her name," Rachel asked.
"Her name is Serena Tsukino," was Andrew’s reply.
Rachel looked shocked at this at first, but then thought
better of it, (No, it can’t be her. My mind is just messing me up.)
Rachel went about her chores. Mark was having a similar situation in
the Cafe next door, in a conversation with Lizzy, Andrew’s sister.
In the Negaverse, General Viper and General Maverick were at
it again. Coming up with a plan to keep the scouts busy in one part
of town, and raid a shop on the other side of town. General Viper
didn’t think this plan would work, "Are you nuts?!?! Jedite tried
this plan and it failed."
"I’m not nuts, and I made a few alterations to the original
plan Jedite tried with this boat. Unlike Jedite’s plan, I want the
Scouts to find my Youma that I stationed their. So they can Die!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA." By this point, General Viper thought Maverick has
lost it, and took off for his assigned place.
Several hours later, Darien and Serena had just brought the
boat back to the pier, and got off the boat. Just as they were about
to kiss, something light landed on Serena’s head. She took it off her
head to discover it was a sealed enveloped marked, ‘To whom this a may
concern.’ Being as curious as she was, Serena opened the envelope and
read the letter that was in it;
Dear Serena,
If I were you, I wouldn’t be standing where you are with in
the next 30 sec.
Signed,
Pink Haired Trouble
Serena racked her brain for a few seconds, trying to think
what it could mean, when Darien said, "Uh, Serena. You might want to
move."
Serena turned to look at Darien, who seemed to be looking up
into the sky. "Darien, just because a letter.....," was all Serena
said before something a bit heavier landed on her head, causing Serena
to fall to the ground. Serena turned on to her back to see what hit
her, only to have her eyed pop open so wide, they almost popped out of
their sockets. Sitting on her, at no more then 6 years old, was none
other then, "RINI!!"
The only thing Rini could do was lift her shoulders and said,
"Mind if I drop in," before she fell off of Serena in a fit of
giggles, joined shortly by Serena and Darien. After a few more
seconds, the three of them gathered up in a three way group hug, before
Serena picked Rini up onto her back, and walked off the pier. Rini
made a statement, "You know, even if I do send a letter ahead of me,
warning you about me falling, I still land on your head."
Darien cracked up a bit, "Sorry, Rini, but Serena wasn’t quick
on the meaning of it."
Serena chuckled and spoke up, "So what brings you here this
time little munchkin."
Rini just beamed happily, "I came to do some training."
"As Sailor Chibi Moon?"
Rini was shocked, "How did you know I was a Sailor Scout now."
Serena giggled, "Rini, what do you mean how....," Suddenly it
accord to her, that when she saw Rini in the Silver Millennium, she
was 8, not 6, (Why that little munchkin. She knew I’d see her again,
no wonder she giggled at my thousand year statement.), "Uhhhh, never
mind. I got an inside source on that." Rini just left it at that.
Serena went to a pay phone to make a call, "Muffin, do you have some
change so I can call home?"
"Sure thing Serena," he said and gave Serena the money to call
home, "I’ll watch Rini while you call." Rini just muttered something
about being older and can watch herself.
Serena dialed home, and the phone rang twice before Serena’s
Mom picked up, "Hello."
"Hi, Mom! It’s Serena. Can you make dinner for 5 tonight
instead 4?"
"Your bringing Darien to dinner tonight," Ellen Tsukino asked.
"No, but I got a surprise for the family. I’ll see you when I
get home in a couple of hours. Bye Mom."
"Bye Serena. Thanks for the warning," Mrs. Tsukino said,
before Serena hung up.
Serena just got out of the phone booth, when her communicator
went off. She opened it up to see Molly’s face, "Serena, you better
get to pier 12 near the shopping wharf."
Serena was worried, "What is it, Molly?"
"There’s a boat docked here. Ray and I are detecting Nega
vibes here," was Molly’s reply.
"We’re on our way," Serena disconnected the line and went to
Darien, "Scout business at pier 12 Darien." Darien and Rini agreed
and the three got into his car and drove off to their destination.
When they got their, all the inner Scouts were already on the
scene. When Serena and Darien got out, the scouts started walking
over to them but stopped when a third figure came out that they knew
very well as they all shouted, "RINI!!!!"
Serena stopped their rampaging questions, "We'll discuss this
later. Ray what’s the situation?"
"This boat definitely has the Negaverse written all over it,
but the ship’s crew wont let us on. The Outer Scouts are patrolling
the opposite end of Tokyo for anything out of the ordinary there," was
Ray’s report.
Luna turned to Serena, "Your the only one who will be able to
get in their, Serena. You’ll have to use the Lunar Pen." Rini purked
up at this. She’s never seen her Mom use the Lunar Pen in the future
or in her last visit to the 20th century during the Nega-Moon war.
Serena reach into her sub-space pocket and pulled the Lunar
Pen out, "DISGUISE POWER!! Turn me into a member of the ship’s crew."
In a flash of light, where Serena once stood was now someone with a
Sailor’s uniform on and short blond hair. Serena wasted no time and
went to the boarding ramp. The officer let Serena pass and she went
in to investigate. The rest of the Scouts, and Darien decided to
catch up with Rini while they waited.
Serena went up and down the entire ship, but found nothing out
of the ordinary. She finally ended up in the ship’s lounge and
investigated there. Someone grabbed her shoulder and spun her around,
"Aren’t you suppose to be scrubbing the floors on deck 7?"
Serena was in a panic. She and this officer were in a corner
where no one could see them. Seeing that Serena couldn’t come up with
an excuse, she did something she normally wouldn’t do. she decked the
officer in the face, and he fell to the ground. Serena was about to
apologies when the officer turned into a jello mold looking thing,
before it vanished into thin air. As this happened, Serena took out
her communicator, "Guys, it’s Serena. The ship’s crew are jello mold
looking creatures from the Negaverse."
She heard Rini say, "And I thought everyone loved jello."
Mina said, "At least there’s plenty of room on that ship. I
mean, there’s always room for jello."
Serena was a little perturbed, "Guys, quit with the jello
jokes, transform, and get in here." she signed off just as a big
hideous youma came into view. It looked like it came out of a
volcano, and was steaming hot. It’s most noticeable feature was the
horn on it’s forehead.
It chuckled with evil at Serena, "So, your working with the
Scouts. no problem. Your bait."
Serena thought fast and kicked the youma in the stomach. When
that failed, she took a red pole out of subspace, "POWER POLE
EXTEND!!" The pole grew long enough to throw the youma to the other
side of the lounge. As soon as this was done, Serena put her power
pole back into subspace and took her brooch, "MOON CRYSTAL POWER."
Outside the ship, the scouts got to work fast;
Darien took out a rose.
"EARTH STAR POWER."
"MARS STAR POWER."
"MERCURY STAR POWER."
"JUPITER STAR POWER."
"VENUS STAR POWER."
"MOON PRISM POWER."
After the usual light show, the Sailor Scouts ran to the ship.
The officer at the ramp turned to them and transformed into a jello
creature, "Ah, the Sailor Scouts are here."
Mars had a fit, "What ever nega creep used this plan must be
related to Jedite’s clone. MARS FIRE IGNITE." Sailor Mars’s attack
melted the creature and the scouts went up the ramp.
In the ship’s lounge, Sailor Moon was putting the moves on
this youma. She’s been firing kamehamehas, and Kaio-Ken combination
attacks, but did no good. The youma just seamed to absorbed the
energy attacks, "You can’t defeat me Sailor Brat."
"I’m sick and tired of you nega-creeps calling me that," was
Sailor Moon’s reply before, "MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION."
Unfortunately, that too was absorbed.
The Sailor Scouts just got to the top floor of the lounge at
this point, right above the fight. They were about to jump down to
attack when they saw Sailor Moon’s last attack doing no good. Sailor
Mercury stopped them all and she began scanning the nega monster for
weaknesses, "Scouts, if we take out that horn on its head, it can’t
absorbed energy anymore. Unfortunately, it has to be a physical
attack the does the job, and we can’t get close enough to do that due
to it’s hot skin. While she said all this, Chibi Moon ran to Sailor
Moon to tell her this, when no body was looking.
Sailor Moon was getting tired. She used every tactic she
could think of. It absorbs energy attack, but not physical. Only
problem is, with it’s hot skin, she can’t get a punch or kick in.
Before she transformed, she saw that her boot she was wearing, when
she kicked the youma, had melted a great deal. Just then she saw
Chibi Moon run up from behind the youma.
The Scout didn’t know what to do to help Sailor Moon. While
they were talking, Tuxedo Mask noticed Chibi Moon has disappeared,
"Where’s Rini?"
Everyone looked around but saw nothing before Ray located her,
"Down there. What is she doing?" Everyone looked down to see Chibi
Moon Running up to Sailor Moon from behind the youma.
The youma turned and saw Chibi Moon running to it. It raised
it’s right arm and brought it down, intending to clobber Chibi Moon.
Luckily, she thought fast and did a somersault under its fist and
missed getting hit by it. Chibi Moon got back on her feet and ran the
rest of the way to Sailor Moon, "Sailor Moon. Use your tiara on it’s
horn. With it gone, he can’t absorb energy attacks anymore."
Sailor Moon got to her feet and took off her tiara, aiming at
the horn, "MOON TIARA MAGIC." The Tiara flew and sliced the horn off.
The Youma screamed in pain before the other scout jumped down, and
everyone attacked at once;
"MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION."
"TORNADO STORM BLAST."
"MERCURY ICE STORM SPLASH."
"MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND.'
"JUPITER THUNDERCLAP ZAP."
"VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE."
"PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK."
Tuxedo Mask threw a rose.
All attacks hit and turned the youma to dust. After they
found a place to hide, the scouts, and Tuxedo Mask powered down, and
left the ship. Once they were off, they all split up and went their
separate ways home.
General Maverick was ordered to King Onix’s throne room. When
he got there, the king was so mad, steam came out of his ears,
"General Maverick, I’m extremely disappointed in you. I thought you
were more reliable then my own sister’s generals, but it turns out
your just as bad," Maverick said nothing, "Wait here while I decide on
your punishment." With that, the king was about to leave when Viper
came in, bruised and battered. Now Onix was in a really bad mood,
"What the heck happened to you, Viper?"
"I ran into the Outer Sailor Scouts. There was no warning,
and they attacked me. I was forced to withdraw," was Viper’s reply.
"Wait here. I want to talk to you later. After I decide
Maverick’s punishment," with that, the king left the room.
Serena and Rini got home on time for supper. When the two
walked in, Rini stayed out of sight while Serena went to the kitchen,
"Hi mom, I’m home."
Ellen, by this point was climbing the walls, wanting to know
what the surprise was, "Serena, You know I hate surprises. Spill it."
"Alright!! Alright!! OH RINI," Ellen was shocked at what
Serena said, and almost fainted at the sight of her future
granddaughter as she walked into the kitchen.
Then Rini ran into Ellen’s waiting arms, "GRANDMA." The two
hugged for what seamed like hours, before the two pulled away, when
Sammy, and Ken came in, and got their hug too. Dinner was eaten with
more conversation then usual as the family welcomed Rini back, and
talked about the news that she is now a Sailor Scout in Training.
At their hotel room, Rachel and Mark were watching the news
about the fight at the docks. Since that afternoon, Rachel had been
feeling strange, and she didn’t know why. But she shrugged it off and
went to bed before she realized she felt strange because somehow, she
felt some type of new connection she couldn’t place.
