Sailor Scouts R: Chapter 10 - Food Fetish
Amy and Lita were at lunch talking about the Moonlight Knight.
Ever since the first time he showed up, the Scouts have tried to figure
out who he was, but had no luck. Lita, however, was thinking about him
for a totally different reason, “Moonlight Knight you can save me
anytime.”
“That goes double for me,” Amy said, totally missing the point
to what Lita meant by her statement.
“He’s such a hunkster. I wish the Moonlight Knight was real,
instead of some…… superhero.”
“Lita, don’t go thinking like that. It’s just not going to
happen,” the ever sensible Amy said. Just then the two heard a couple
of familiar voices, and the two saw Melvin and Molly walk by to share
lunch together, “On second thought, Lita, if Melvin can get a date,
then the Moonlight Knight can be yours easily.”
“You think so,” Lita asked. Just then, they heard a familiar
flute melody and found Allen playing in front of a group of love sick
girls, “He‘s good.”
“I wonder if he is the Moonlight Knight,” Amy wondered.
“You think so,” Lita asked.
“Could be anyone,” Amy said.
Lita began day dreaming about Allen, right up until Amy snapped
her out of it, “Hehe, just planning a little research. I mean, if
Allen is the Moonlight Knight, the Scouts will want to know about it
right. Guess I’ll have to try to have lunch with him and find out.”
“Good luck,” Amy said, “What do you think all these girls are
here for?” Just then, Allen stopped playing his flute, and all the
love sick girls asked to have lunch with him.
Allen declined by saying, “I don’t do lunch.” With that, he
began walking off, with the girls on his tail. They followed Allen
down the stairs, out the door, and around a corner, where he lost all
of them, except for Lita.
Lita had followed the crowd, at a distance, until the crowd
past a corner. That’s when Lita looked up and found Allen on the roof,
“How did he get up there, fly? Oh well, at least he lost the crowd.
Now he’s mine.” With that, Lita ran back into the building and went up
the stairs to the roof.
On the roof, Allen was playing his flute again, when he started
wondering about those crazy girls that followed him, “This human stuff
called food. I wonder if it’s the reason, those girls were acting so
weird.”
Just then Lita arrived on the roof and spotted Allen, “Hay,
Allen, want to have lunch with me.”
Allen decided to try his theories of food out, “Sure, why not.”
Amy, meanwhile, was in one of the computer labs, while having
her lunch. She was trying to figure out who the Moonlight Knight was
using some new software she had created, and was experimenting with it
before attempting to incorporate it into her Mercury computer, “Hmmm,
according to this, the likely hood of Allen being the Moonlight Knight
is less then 0.2%, not very good odds in my book.” Satisfied that the
program appeared to be working right, Amy checked to make sure she was
alone before she took the Mercury Computer out of her sub-space pocket
and began downloading the program into the mini computer, through the
modem cable she designed for this purpose.
Back on the school’s roof, Allen was looking at seafood, “What
is this?”
“Squid on a stick. It’s really good, try it,” Lita suggested.
“I don’t know if I can eating anything that’s staring at me,”
Allen said, looking at the squid that had a face that looked like it
was staring it him, “It looks like it’s slimy or something.” Allen
decided to try it anyway after a few agonizing seconds, for Lita, Allen
swallowed the whole thing saying, “Hay, pretty good.”
Just then, Ann showed up, “What is this junk your eating, Allen.
Better not eat any of it. It might make you sick.”
“Hay, nobody gets sick from eating my food. And if they do
then it’s probably because of the company they keep,” Lita said as she
and Ann began a starring contest while Allen had trouble holding his
human disguise when he tried something a bit too spicy for him.
After Allen got control of himself, he broke up Ann and Lita’s
fight and dragged Ann to a different part of the school. Later that
day, Allen and Ann were walking home when Ann said, “Look, Allen, I
understand we have to act like humans. It doesn’t mean we have to try
their food.”
“Oh lighten up Ann. Its one of the best ways to find out how
these humans manage to have so much energy compared the rest of the
life forms on this planet. We might need an alternative source you
know, should we loose the Doom Tree.”
Just then Lita appeared, “Hay, Allen, we still on for lunch
tomorrow”?
Allen hesitated before Ann said, “Hay, don’t say no on my
account. I’m out of here.”
Allen tried to stop Ann, “Ann, wait, don’t go away all mad.”
“Wow, what’s her problem,” Lita asked.
“I don’t know,” was all Allen could say before the two decided
to take a walk in the park.
When the two got to a park bench, Lita asked, “So, Allen, do
you go around in a white rope and a turban?”
“No. (Wait, that sounds like the Moonlight Knight.) Why do
you ask,” Allen ask.
“Oh, no reason. You just looked like someone I know, that’s
all,” Lita asked.
From behind some trees, Ann, in her alien form, was observing
Allen and Lita. She couldn’t hear what they were saying, but she was
getting jealous. A few minutes later, she heard Lita say something,
and the two giggled, “I don’t believe this. He’s actually giggling!”
Ann appeared in front of the two and said, “The party is over.” Ann
wasted no time and fired an energy beam at Lita, sending her and Allen
flying backwards.
By this point, Amy and Mina came around the corner with Luna
and saw the commotion as Luna said, “Looks like Lita could use some
help.” The girls agreed and transformed.
“MERCURY POWER”
“VENUS POWER”
“Venus, stay out of sight so we can use you as a surprise
tactic. Luna and I will handle this. Contact Ray,” Sailor Venus
agreed and Mercury and Luna went to work.
Back on the battlefield, Lita sat back up as Ann landed just
behind her, “What’s your problem, Negaverse sleez.”
“Big mistake calling me sleez,” Ann said as she was about to
finish Lita off.
“MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST”
A fog appeared, hiding everyone from sight as Mercury took Lita
aside and asked, “Lita what happened?”
I don’t know, one minute Allen and I were talking, the next,
she showed up. And I’m really agree that she trashed MY LUNCH BAG!”
With that, Lita raised her hand.
“JUPITER POWER”
By the time the fog cleared, Ann lost sight of Lita but saw
Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter ready for action just as Allen, in
his alien form, materialized beside her as Ann said, “I don’t you.”
Allen took Ann’s chin, and raised her face to kiss her lips as
he said, “Yes you do, Ann. Just like I need you.” After the kiss,
Allen took out his cards, “Now pick us a cardien Ann.” Ann chose a
card and Allen threw it into the air while pulling out his flute,
“Cardien Mop Head, I command you to come forward.”
Allen began playing his flute and the card changed into a
cardien with a VERY thick head of hair, “Mop Head at your service.”
Ann spoke up, “Cardien Mop Head, destroy these Sailor pests.”
“You got it,” Mop Head said as she shampooed her hair, and
retracted her right hand before firing some sort of black ribbon
material. She managed to get Mercury but Jupiter jumped up and got
ready to attack.
“JUPITER THUNDER…”
However the cardien got Jupiter too just before she could
attack and wrapped her and Mercury together into a ball of black
ribbon, and threw them on top of a water fountain nearby. The two
scouts in a ball floated in place on top of the water as Ann commented,
“Didn’t know Sailor Scouts could float. Hope your not getting seasick”
“VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SHOWER”
“Look out,” Allen said and the two teleported just before a
shower of crescent beams went threw the space they occupied. They
turned to see Sailor Venus, and Sailor Mars, and they ordered Mop Head
to get them. The cardien succeeded in wrapping them up to, but not for
long as a white rose went by cutting them loose, and Mars set the other
Scouts loose.
“MARS FIRE IGNITE”
Mars’s fire burnt the ribbon surrounding Sailor Mercury and
Sailor Jupiter, and them as well , but fell into the fountain water
where the fire was put out. Jupiter stood up and said, “Moonlight
Knight, you’re here.”
“Thought you and your friends could use some help Jupiter.
Sorry they ruined your lunch, but a little revenge will taste just as
sweet, don‘t you think,” the Knight said.
Lita turned to the cardien, “I’ve had enough of you pal. Your
ancient history.” Lita crossed her arms and raised her antenna to
attack. But something unexpected happened in Lita’s rage to finish the
cardien off.
“JUPITER THUNDER………. DRAGON”
Jupiter’s lightning attack formed a dragon of pure electricity.
The dragon got right up to the cardien and swallowed hit whole before
exploding. The cardien was still alive but obviously too weak to fight
as Jupiter said, “Venus NOW!”
“You got it,” Sailor Venus said as she took out the Moon Tiara.
“MOON TIARA MAGIC”
The Tiara slammed into the cardien and turned it into a burnt
out playing card. Allen and Ann decided to split and teleported away.
“Well done Sailor Scouts,” the Moonlight Knight said.
Jupiter walked up to the lamp post the Knight was on and asked,
“Moonlight Knight, can you tell us who you are?” The rest of the
scouts were also curious.
“I’m a true friend of the Sailor Scouts. That’s all for now,
see ya.” With that the Knight jumped away and was soon out of sight.
“Wait don’t go,” Lita asked, but was too late.
“Is he Allen,” Amy asked.
“No, I don’t think so. He doesn’t remind me of my old
boyfriend like Allen does,” Lita declared, making the rest of the
scouts face fall to the ground as Lita concluded, “I’ll make him a
lunch and then his heart will be mine.”
Back at Allen and Ann’s apartment, Allen pulled out a tray of
goodies, “Surprise. A little treat for my one and only.”
Ann smiled, “Oh, Allen you spoil me.” Then she looked at the
tray and asked, “What are those little brown round things.”
“Uh, I don’t know, you try them first,” Allen said before the
two dug in.
In another part of Japan, in a deserted valley, a bright flash
of light took place as an object appeared out of thin air. It landed
with a soft thud and the top opened up to let its driver out. The
figure landed on the ground and looked around, “Hmmm…… he should
already be here.” The figure pulled pack his left sleeve and looked at
a wrist device, and pushed a few buttons, “Rats, I’m a few weeks early.
What will I do for 4 weeks? I don’t have enough power to go to the
correct time, and home.”
Just then a portal appeared behind him and the figure turned to
see a Sailor Scout emerge from it, “I am in need of your help.”
The figure heard about this individual from his time, but never
actually met Sailor Pluto before, until now, and asked, “What does
Sailor Pluto need my help with?”
Pluto said, “The time for the Sailor Scouts to have their final
confrontation with their enemy is drawing near and they will need your
help when that battle comes.” With that said, Sailor Pluto began
explaining the situation and gave her instructions to the mysterious
time traveler.
