Sailor Scouts R - Ch. 6: Kindergarten Chaos
From somewhere the Scouts couldn’t see, even if they were
looking hard enough, two individuals watch as the Scouts got up and
left the area Venus fought Racy. One of these figures, Queen Serenity,
turned to the other, “Are you sure we can’t just tell them where Serena
is?”
The second figure gave Serenity a sympathetic look, “They can’t
know yet Serenity. If they did, it would alter the time line with
serious consequences. Serena’s training is not yet finished, and won’t
be for another nine months. Long after this battle with Allen and Ann
is over.”
“And what of Prince Darien, Setsuna? Will he get his memories
back,” Serenity asked.
Setsuna answered, “In time Serenity, he will gain his memories
soon.. You should get home before your missed.” With that, Setsuna
opened a portal and Serenity stepped though. Setsuna then turned back
to the viewing portal, “The Scouts may need to meet me sooner then
originally planned.”
It was another beautiful day in the city of Tokyo the next
morning. However, this peaceful morning was interrupted by a,
“WWWAAAAHHHHH!!!!! It’s so late!!!!!!”
A voice shortly after that said, “It’s not my fault you didn’t
set the alarm.”
“I can’t believe it. I’m going to be so late, and I have a
math test first period. Artemis, why didn’t you wake me up,” Mina
asked. She got out of bed, took a shower, got into her school uniform,
got a piece of toast, and her school bag, and was out the door in a
Serena record breaking pace, 2 minutes.
During the run to school, Artemis was running beside Mina
thinking, (Well, she’s not anywhere near Serena’s league. I mean, she
was the queen of tardy). Artemis grew a little sad, thinking about
this, but immediately put it aside when he and Mina heard, “come on
insect, hand it over.”
A voice that sounded like a little girl said, “No way. It’s
mine. Get your own.”
A second little boys voice said, “Hand it over, I’m warning
you.”
Just then Mina and Artemis stopped as they rounded the corner
to see two boys bullying a little girl, and Mina shouted, feeling very
angry, “Hay! Dwebs, what are you up too?”
“Lets get out of here,” the older one said as they ran away.
Mina walked up to the little girl, “Little maggots. You OK,
little girl?”
The girl stopped crying and immediately got a grin on her face,
“You really freaked those guys out didn’t you?”
“Uh, ya, that was kind of the idea,” Mina said.
“Can you help me? I’m already late, and I’m afraid I’ll miss
my school bus.”
“I’d really like to kid, but I’m late myself,” Mina said,
trying to sound sympathetic.
“WWWAAAHHHHH, you got to help me, I’ll never make it on my
own,” The little girl wailed in such a way it reminded Mina of Serena.
Mina pushed it aside for now, as she had a more pressing
problem at hand. “Emotional blackmail,” Mina said, as she picked up the
little girl and began to take off with smoke behind her as she was
saying, “It works.”
Shortly after, Mina and Artemis got the little girl to her bus
just as it got there. Mina waved good bye as it pulled away, “Well, at
least she’s going to make it to school.”
“I’ll say,” Artemis added, “At this rate, you’ll be lucky if
you make it for lunch.”
Mina just laughed as she picked up Artemis, “Who needs lunch.
Run for it!!!”
Unfortunately for Mina, her school already closed the gates as
the bell went off, “I’m too late.”
Artemis just thought, “Well got to admit, the girl did try.
But she’s still awfully tardy.”
At Crossroads Junior High, Allen saw Amy, one of Mina’s
friends, and decided to get some info on his crush from her. A minute
into the talk Ann showed up and heard the tail end of the conversation
as she said, “Oh, go hang yourself, Allen. What are you doing?”
Allen quickly got up and started walking away, saying, “Just
doing my early morning exercises. One, and two, your tuff your
strong....”
Amy could only think, “Weird brother and sister act.”
Some time later, Allen and Ann were at the roof of the school
talking, “Look, Allen, we need to get back to what’s important.
Finding an energy source to keep the Doom Tree alive, not playing
around with our classmates.”
Allen wanted to say something to that but dropped it as he
grinned, “I think I’ve got just the ticket.”
Sometime later, Mina and Artemis were walking home, when they
heard a familiar scream, followed by, “Sailor Venus is not real.”
The little familiar voice said, “She is too.”
A little boy’s voice asked, “Says who?”
A second boy’s voice asked, “What’s a little cootie like you
know anyway?
“More then you meathead. Look!! Sailor Venus is real. I know
it,” the girl’s voice said.
“Ya, her and the Easter bunny right runt,” a third voice asked.
It was at this point that Mina came around the corner and saw
the same little girl from that morning, only with three bullies on her
this time, “It’s that same maggot kid again.”
Artemis said, “We’d better help her.”
Mina charged up to the kids and said, “Hey back off brats.
Leave her alone you little amebas.”
The little girl turned and notice Mina from this morning, “Hay
it’s you again.”
“Don’t you have something better to do then bug us, you old
bag,” the maggot asked.
“Me an old bag,” asked an annoyed Mina.
“Ya, a smelly crinkled up old lunch bag so what’s your
problem,” another asked.
The third asked, “Ya, having a hard time getting a date?” the
boys started to laugh at this.
Mina however, just blew her top, stood over the bullies and
shouted, “YOU REALLY ANNOY ME!!!!!” With that, all three ran off
screaming for help, “Little postiles, what’s the matter with kids these
days?”
Artemis thought, (Spoken like a true old bag.).
The little girl said, “Hay, thanks again.”
“Hay, no problem. What’s your name by the way?”
“My name is Carrie. And I go to the kindergarten around the
corner,” she answered.
“My name’s Mina, and this is my cat, Artemis,” Artemis meowed
as if to say yes.
Carrie said, “Nice to meet you, Artemis.”
Mina then began to notice a patch of Sailor Venus on her school
uniform, “Hay, your fan of Sailor Venus huh?!?!” Carrie nodded her
head as Mina asked, “Are you a fan of Sailor Moon, too.”
Carrie said, “Never heard of her.”
Mina hung her head after a brief loom of shock that Carrie
never heard of Sailor moon, “That’s way harsh.” Artemis was thinking,
as he too hung his head, (What does it say about Luna?).
Some time later, Mina and Carrie were at a park bench talking,
when Carrie asked, “Is Sailor Venus really real, Mina?”
“What do you think?”
“I think she’s the best.”
“Hmmm, you really think of her a lot don’t you Carrie?”
“Ya, but I’ll never meet her, she’s too famous.”
“Don’t give up, Carrie. You never know what could happen,”
Mina said.
The two carried on with their conversation., and Carrie asked,
“Have you ever meet any of the Sailor Scouts like in person?”
“Oh sure, I ran into them a couple of times,” Mina said.
Artemis was thinking, (MINA?!?!).
Carrie was excited, “You like for real?”
“Yep,” was Mina’s reply..
“Can you tell the other kids that?”
“Sure,” Mina replied. Artemis was in a panic by this point,
and kept it well hidden so Carrie wouldn’t see.
“Then they’ll have to Believe me. We’ll tell the whole school,
neighborhood. even the whole world,” Carrie said.
“Huh?” Mina and Artmis said at the same time.
“You promised,” Carrie said.
“Great, I’ve been co-opted by a rug rat,” Mina then turned to
Carrie and thought, (But a cute one.).
At Allen and Ann’s apartment, in the Doom Tree room, they were
taking a look at the tree again. Allen said, “The Doom Tree is running
out of energy again. We need to find ourselves a whole new source.”
“Fresh, Young, Exuberant,” Ann stated as they began looking at
images of kindergarten kids.
“And all ours for the taking,” Allen said.
“Why didn’t we think of this before,” Ann asked as Allen took
out his stack of Cardiens.
“OK, Ann, so pick us a Cardien,” He said as he opened them up
like a poker hand.
“Sure,” Ann picked a card and it floated up in to the air. It
then enlarged and showed a vulture man with wings.
Allen began playing his flute as Allen gave the command, “Come
out now Vultros.”
The next day, in the afternoon, a bus of kids was traveling
through Tokyo, taking kindergarten kids home from morning classes. As
it went into a tunnel, the cardien appeared above and broke in through
the roof before draining everyone’s energy.
Further into the week, Amy, Lita ,and Ray were at the temple
discussing the events. Luna was standing over the day’s newspaper
reading an article, “This is the tenth bus attack this week.”
Ray said, as Amy was typing on her computer, “Poor little tikes
they must have been terrified.”
Lita was not happy with the news, “I’d like to get my hands on
whoever is doing this.”
Amy stopped typing in her computer and said, “Luna, I think
I’ve figured out where they will strike next.”
Luna was glad some progress was being made, “You have? Well
out with it then.”
Amy continued, “Well there has defiantly been a pattern in all
these attacks. next time it will be a south side kindergarten.”
“Well that narrows it down to one,” Luna said, “There is only
one kindergarten school in the south side, and Mina is there right now.
Lita, you and I are going to meet the bus when it passes through the
tunnel the attacks keep happening in. I’ll contact Mina and tell her
to get on that bus.” Everyone agreed and got to work.
After getting the word from the others, Mina rejoined the class
and continued her story of the Sailor Scouts. after some time, she
concluded, “and so that proves it. That the Sailor Scouts do exist.”
The Maggot kid, who happened to be in Carrie’s class said, “Why
should we believe you. You made this all up. You keep this up, sooner
or later, we won’t believe anything anyone tells us.”
“You got to believe us they do exist,” said Carrie as the
teacher came out.
The teacher said, “Is everyone ready for the bus ride home?
Something has come up, and I won’t be able to ride the bus with you
today.”
The kids were sad by this, but Mina purcked up, thinking this
was the best way to get on the bus, “Maybe I can help. I need to catch
a bus to get home anyway.”
Carrie was excited at this, “Ya, you can protect us, from that
bad creature.”
The maggot kid spoke up, “We can take care of ourselves, lady.
You want to ride with us, your on your own.” Mina and the Teacher
sweatdropped and growned.
Back at Allen and Ann’s apartment, Allen gave the command for
Vultros to hit his next target.
The bus had been traveling fine so far with no problems. Mina
managed to keep the kids occupied by having them sing ‘The Wheels on
the Bus.” Just then, the bus entered the tunnel, and the cardien was
standing in its path. The driver hit the breaks as the cardien came in
through the front window. The kids got scared, and Mina kept them
behind her.
Carrie was the most afraid, “Oh, Mina, I’m so scared.”
“Don’t’ worry. Help is on the way,” Mina said.
“Your energy is mine,” said the cardien.
“You want to make a bet on that vulture breath,” said a voice
as the cardien turned to see Sailor Jupiter, ready for action, “You’ve
been circling these poor little kids long enough. And I’m here to tell
you, your flight plans have been preeminently canceled. You need your
feathers plucked, and I’m going to do it.”
Carrie jumped in excitement, “It’s Sailor Jupiter.”
The Maggot, for once, said something that didn’t classify him
as the maggot, “You mean the scouts are real?”
“Be right with ya,” Jupiter said as Vultros flew out of the
bus, “It’s time to get your wings clipped.”
“Not likely,” said the cardien as he attacked. Jupiter kept
dodging his attacks. The thing wasn’t giving her the time to charge up
an attack.
While the kids were watching, Mina sneaked out the opposite
side and transformed. She got on top of the bus as the cardien through
Jupiter into its side. Just as the cardien went for the kill, Sailor
Venus shouted, “VENUS CRESCENT BEAM CRASH.” Her attack only sent him
backwards a few feet.
Sailor Jupiter looked to the roof at this point, “Sailor Venus,
your here.”
The kids were getting riled up, even Carrie, “It’s SAILOR
VENUS!!!”
Sailor Venus jumped down from the bus as the cardien got back
up, “Oh no, my crescent beam didn’t work on it. Guess I’ll have to try
again.”
“Be my guest,” Vultros said as he sent more attacks. He
succeeded in knocking out Sailor Jupiter, but Venus was only knocked on
to her bottom.
Venus got up and did her attack again, “VENUS CRESCENT BEAM
SMASH.” Vultros absorbed the attack into his right arm, and sent Venus
back onto her seat.
The kids chanted, “SAILOR JUPITER, SAILOR VENUS, GET UP AND
FIGHT.”
Vultros started to charged a Venus. Just as it was about to go
for the kill, someone shouted, “DEAD SCREAM.”
A purplish attack and a white Rose hit Vultros. Mina turned to
see two figures, “THE MOONLIGHT KNIGHT AND......... who are you?”
The Moonlight Knight interrupted the answer to that question,
“Even in the darkest Tunnel, you’ll find some light. It’s deep inside
yourself. Believe in it, and you’ll see it.”
“Just believe in my self,” Venus asked.
“Why not,” asked the Knight, “There are many other who already
believe in you.” He pointed at the kids in the bus as they chanted that
they believed in them.
“Time to stand up and protect the future,” Mina said as she
stood up, “I learned a lot from these little kids. Believe in yourself
and no one can beet you.” Mina stomped her right foot down and
shouted, “VENUS......”
Vultros began to charge again. Power began to surge in to
Sailor Venus’s attack, “CRESCENT BEAM.........” Her beam went out from
her finger as she pointed at the cardien. as it got half way to it’s
target, “SHOWER.” The beam split into multiple beams, and hit Vultros,
as he howled in pain. Mina turned to Jupiter as she got up. Jupiter
had seen the whole attack, “Cool new trick, Huh?”
“Sure was Venus, now finish it off,” Jupiter said. Venus took
out the Moon tiara.
“MOON TIARA MAGIC.”
“DEAD SCREAM.”
Both attacks hit Vultros and turned him into a burnt out card,
“I’m Disintegrating!.”
Venus said, “Nope, your dusted!”
“See what believing yourself can do,” Moonlight Knight asked,
“There’s no greater joy, Sailor Scouts. See ya.” with that the Knight
left, and the unknown figure, that was dressed like a sailor scout
began to walk up to Venus and Jupiter. They didn’t see her approach at
first as Venus said, “And now I have a whole new power.
“Yes, and you handle it very well, Sailor Venus,” the unknown
Sailor said.
Venus and Jupiter turned to see her and Venus asked, “Who are
you?”
“I am the guardian of time and space, Sailor Pluto,” she said,
“I wish I can stay longer, but my duties require me to return to the
gate of time. Till next time Sailor Scouts.” With that Sailor Pluto
opened a portal and walked through it before it closed.
Just then Artemis walked up, “We better go before those kids
tare that bus apart.” So Sailor Venus, and Sailor Jupiter went to the
bus, and kept them busy the rest of the bus ride to each of their
homes.
