Welcome to another ch. of Sailor Scouts R. Hi, it’s me again. Well,
I’m ‘Finally’ on Summer Vacation. So expect this to be updated a
little bit more often. I have started the Prologue to my next fic
called ‘The Parent Trap.’ I hope to have it up at ASMR in a week or
two.

Sailor Scouts R: Chapter 7 - Much Ado About Baby-sitting
“SAY WHAT,” Ray demanded at the next Scout meeting, “Another
Sailor scout appeared. But who is she?”
“Calm down Ray,” Mina said as she continued, “She said she was
Sailor Pluto, the guardian of time and space.”
Luna looked thoughtful, “I’ve heard of her. Queen Serenity
said she was a scout is to defend time, and protect it at all costs.
Did she say anything about Serena, Mina?”
“No, there wasn’t time. Shortly after the battle she went
back, what she called, the time stream,” Mina said.
“Great,” Ray muttered, “The one chance we get to get answers
on Serena’s death, and it slips right out from under us.”
“I don’t think she would have answered anyway,” Luna said,
“Unless her duty to the timeline directed her to tell us otherwise.
She’s very secretive of the timeline when it comes to matters like
this.” The meeting came to an end and everyone went home.
“So many babies, with so much energy they don’t even know what
do with it all,” Allen said as they looked at images in the Doom Tree
room.
“It’s so perfect. All the energy we need with no fuss,” Ann
said.
Allen took out his stack of cards, “So, Ann, pick us a Cardien
that will zap the juice out of those girgiling babes.” Ann chose a
card, and they went to the roof of the apartment.
When they got to the roof, Allen threw the card and took out
his flute, “Cardien Skulker, I command you to arise.” The image
appeared on the card to show what looked like a women with long, blue
hair before the cardien came out.
At a daycare center, a women came to pick up her baby son,
“Hay, big guy. Jordan, were you a good boy at school today?”
The teacher came along and said, “Oh, yes! Jordan is the
best.”
“But he didn’t say any words today huh? Guess I’ll just have
to be patient,” Jordan’s mom said.
Jordan said, “Ba ba.”
“Bye Jordan. See you tomorrow. We’re doing finger painting.”
Just then Amy, and Mina stopped at the gate, and Mina said,
“Oh look, it’s Jordan.”
Jordan’s mom turned to see familiar faces, “Oh, hello Girls.”
Just then Allen and Ann’s cardien showed up, “Give me your
energy.” She sent out vines and they attached to all the babies in
the yard, except Jordan cause his mom was in the way, and she
collapsed.
“Mrs. Winston,” Amy said as the cardien left.
After the cardien left, Amy and Mina had a look around, “Amy,
they’re not even moving.”
Just then Darien ran up, “Hurry call an ambulance.”
After the Ambulance arrived, Amy and Mina got in and rode to
the hospital with Jordan and his mother. Several other ambulances got
called to the scene to take the rest of the babies and adults.
Back at Allen and Ann’s place, Allen was twirling the
Cardien, after it reverted back to a card, “You picked a good card Ann.
Worked like a charm.”
Ann laughed, “And there’s so many babies in this town. The
Doom Tree is going to be very well fed.”
Allen said, “Ya, but we got to keep a very low profile. These
humans are definitely very attached to their offspring and we can’t
alert the Sailor Scouts.” Little did they know, the Sailor Scouts
were already aware of what happened.
At the hospital, Amy, Mina and Darien were there, visiting
Mrs. Winston, who was still unconscious. Mina asked, “How are they
Amy.”
“Good news. The babies are going to be fine and should be out
in about a week,” Amy said.
“How’s Jordan,” Mina asked.
“Jordan is fine, but his Mom is in bad shape. She got it all
in the attack and has to stay a while. Problem is, her husband is out
of the country, so there’s no one to take care of him.”
“Ahh,” Mina looked upset at Amy’s news here.
“They just moved here a month ago. So they really don’t know
anyone,” Amy said, “The Nursery is jammed with all the other kids, so
they really need him out of here. Poor little guy has nowhere to go.
My Mom and I would take him, but she’s taking off to a medical
conference in Paris, France. I just wish I knew someone who could
take care of him.”
Darien decided to speak up at this point, “I’ll take him.
Tell the doctors it’s taken care of.”
“But, Darien, are you sure you want the responsibility? I
mean, babies are very hard work to take care of. You’ve got to watch
them every minute,” Amy said.
Just then Jordan’s pacifier came out of his mouth, and he
began to cry. Mina picked up the pacifier and tried to put it back in
his mouth, “Oh, here you go. Got your binkie.”
Amy asked Darien again, “Are you sure you know what your
getting into, taking him for a whole week? He could just cry all the
time. I’m sure he’s not use to being away from his mother.”
Mina was still trying to give Jordan back his binkie, “Here
you go sweety.” Mina managed to get it back in, but Jordan just spit
it back out. Mina picked him up, “Probably scared from all these
tubes. I’m going to take him to Darien’s place.”
Amy looked skeptical, “Sure, you and a nine month old. You
can’t even take care of a gold fish Mina.”
Darien walked up to Jordan and told him, in a cute voice,
“We’ll have a good time won’t we?”
It was late by the time Darien and Mina got Jordan to Darien’s
apartment. Unfortunately, Jordan had other plans, besides a quiet
night. He was still crying. Darien was trying his best to stop his
crying, ”Hey. Hey. Your a happy baby. Yes you are. You don’t want to
cry anymore.” Darien began making funny faces. Mina even stepped up
and began to try making faces, but that didn’t work either. Then
Darien suggested he might be hungry, “I’ll fix him a bottle.”
Darien went to grab for the stuff when Mina took them, “Hey!
Let me do that!” Mina ran into the kitchen and began to make an
attempt to put it together. Finally, after making a mess of the
kitchen and her face, she came out with a ready bottle for Jordan,
“Dinner is served.” Darien at this point was little scared, but moved
out of Mina’s way anyway, slowly. After Mina tried to give Jordan the
bottle, the kid wouldn’t go for it, “No way. Nothing makes this kid
happy.”
“Maybe you got the bottle too hot,” Darien suggested.
Mina tasted the milk to try it out,” Tastes good. Want some?”
“Well, he’s obviously not hungry,” Darien said, ignoring
Mina’s question.
“Then what’s wrong with him,” Mina asked. Mina began to panic
and think of any possible disease Jordan might have.
Finally, Darien found the problem, “Kill the hysterics and
hand me a diaper, would ya” Mina stopped suddenly as Darien continued,
“It was his diaper he was trying to tell us about.”
Mina walked up to Jordan, “Can’t be, we just changed it at the
hospital.” But sure enough it was really dirty. Mina was beginning to
wonder how Serena would handle this type of situation if she were in
her shoes right now, as Jordan again began to cry, and Darien suggested
he might be hungry now that his diaper is changed.
After a couple of days, Darien and Mina began to get Jordan’s
Routine down. In that same span of time, Jordan was getting low on
supplies, so Mina got up, to Artemis’s surprise when he woke up later
that morning to find her gone already. She met Darien at the store and
did the shopping for baby supplies. “I just hope this lasts till
Jordan’s Mom gets out of the hospital,” Darien commented.
Just then, Ann walked around a corner and noticed Darien and
Mina with the stroller, “There’s Darien, and Mina. And what are they
doing with a baby stroller? He better be helping her baby-sit. That
can’t be his Baby.” Ann was about to make her presence known when
Lita and Ray showed, and Ray said, “Ah, look at the cute little family.
You make such a nice couple.”
Mina was shocked at this at first but quickly retaliated,
“I’ll give you a couple......... of back eyes if you don’t stop it Ray.
How can you even make such a joke. I don’t find it very funny.”
Ray let up, “Sorry, I wasn’t thinking.”
Lita said, “I think it’s nice your helping out with Jordan,
while Mrs. Winston is in the hospital.”
Amy put in, “As long as you treat him better then your gold
fish.” Everyone sweat dropped at Amy. Amy, teasing?! The world is
coming to an end. Ray walked to Mina and whispered, “Fire reading at
the temple tonight. I want to home in on that Cardien. Meet us there,
ok?”
Mina said, “I’ll be there.” After the group finished their
talk, Ann walked away, thinking she heard all she needed.
Later that day, after Mina was sure Darien had everything under
control, she went to the temple with the rest of the Scouts. After a
few short minutes, Ray began her reading, “I call apon you, great fire.
Show us who this new cardien is on the count of..... 5, 4, 3, 2, ‘1’!"
The fire roared to life and an image of the cardien appeared.
“That’s the one,“ Mina explained, “She’s the one who drained
the energy out of those babies.”
Ray was continuing to meditate, “And she’ll do it again.
Seems like she’s tuned into baby energy and is searching for more
targets.”
“Is there any way we could stop her,” Amy asked.
“Not unless she appears again. Now that I’m tuned into her
energy I can keep a watch out for her.”
“Got ya Ray,“ Lita said.
Ray stood up, “Cardien is on the move. We’re going to have to
be on our toes. The Sailor Scouts are going to have to be ready on a
moment’s notice.”
The next day at Darien’s apartment, Darien was preparing
another bottle, and cleaning the dirty ones when the door bell rang,
“Come in.”
Ann walked in, “Hay Darien it’s me. I heard you were on baby
duty this week, and thought you might want a hand. I’m really good
with babies you know.”
(How did she get my address), Darien wondered. He never gave
it to her and he knew the girls wouldn’t tell her unless he said
otherwise. He finally came to the annoying logical conclusion, (She
followed me, can’t she take the hint? I’m NOT interested. Even Mina
told her so at the VR theater.) Just then Darien got a good smelly
sent of something that was stinking just before Jordan started to cry.
While plugging his nose, Darien said, “I think he needs his diaper
changed, can you do that for me please?”
“Sure,” Ann said. Right after Ann changed Jordan’s diaper he
began to cry again, but only lasted another second before Darien gave
Jordan his ready bottle of milk, “Ah, he’s just the cutest little
munchkin don’t you think, Darien? If you need anything else I’ll be
glad to help. I ‘Love’ babies, and they ‘Love’ me. Oh there.” Ann
picked up Jordan and held him Darien parsed Jordan in the next instant
cause Jordan dropped his bottle and though up at all over Ann. Ann
got into a fit and stormed out just as Mina came in.
She say the mess on Ann’s shirt and picked up on what happened.
After Ann left Mina said, “Let me guess. She followed you.”
“That’s my best guess,” Darien said as he set Jordan down,
“Although I’m thankful Jordan had his accident. I didn’t know how
else to get rid of Ann.”
Just then, Mina gasped and pointed behind Darien. He turned
around to see Jordan walking toward the box of tissue that was on the
floor, “Yo own me 10 bucks, Darien.” Earlier that week Mina bet
Darien that Jordan would walk before he talked, and Darien took the
challenge. Once Jordan reached the box, he sat down and began taking
the tissue out of it.
The two were jumping for joy until Amy walked in, “What’s
going on here? I hope I’m not interrupting anything.”
“Amy it was totally amazing, Jordan started to walk.”
“Half way across the room,” Darien added with a smile.
While Darien was with Jordan, Amy went to Mina, “Mina, Scouts
needed right away.”
“Ok,” Mina said, “Darien, Sorry but I got to go. Biology
project due tomorrow, see ya.”
With that Mina and Amy left, with a confused Darien left
behind, (What was that all about?)
At a daycare center, the children were playing happily, until
the Cardien showed up, “I want your energy.”
Just as she was about to start, someone said, “Not this time,
sister.” The Cardien turned to see two Sailor scouts ready for
action. Sailor Mars said, “Stop right there negaslut, or I’m going
to turn your sizzle into fizzle.”
“So don’t give us any of your dribble,” Sailor Jupiter said
before Mars attacked
“MARS FIRE IGNITE.”
The attack missed the cardien as she blew on a bubble in her
hand. Multiple bubbles floated down to the babies and captured them.
The bubbles began to rise and surround the cardien, “No one stops me,
so don’t even try Sailor Wimps.”
“We’ve got to stop this energy vampire,” Mars said.
“Hay, tell me about it,” Jupiter said. Just then the Cardien
shot out beams and hit the Scouts, knocking them out just as Amy and
Mina arrived on the scene.
“VENUS POWER.”
“MERCURY POWER.”
Right after they finished transforming the Cardien attacked,
“Butt out.” the attacks sent Mercury and Venus flying. The cardien
sent out her vines, “Good! I’ll zap your energy too.”
“Mercury can you move,” Venus asked after a failed effort to
get loose.
“No, she’s zapping all my strength. We got to do something or
we’re fried.”
Just then, a white rose shot in front of the cardien’s face
and she lost her concentration on the vines as they disappeared. The
babies floated down to the ground revealing a very mad Moonlight
Knight, “How DARE you attack the most innocent of humanity, these
helpless babies. You’ll pay for it you evil parasite.”
“Moonlight Knight, you saved us,” Sailor Venus said.
“Had to Sailor Venus. If you and the rest of the Sailor
Scouts don’t stop her, no baby is safe anywhere,” Moonlight Knight
explained.
A very mad Mercury stood up, “Hay, you baby snatcher. I don’t
know where you get off stealing these innocent kids, but it’s stopping
here, RIGHT THIS INSTANT.”
“MERCURY ICE BUBBLES............FREEZE.”
The cardien suddenly began to get cold as Ice began to form
around her, “She’s fr...fr...fr....freezing me.”
Venus was shocked, “Wow, Mercury. where did that come from.
Those weren’t your usual bubbles.”
“I don’t know. I just felt this new power inside me. I guess
it’s cause I couldn’t stand the thought of her getting away with any
more babies,” Amy explained.
“Right Mercury,” Venus said, “We got to put this baby snatcher
out of business. Women, your getting Moon dusted.” Venus took out the
Moon tiara.
“MOON TIARA MAGIC.”
The tiara flew to the frozen cardien and it was turned into a
burnt out playing card, before falling to the ground. Just then the
rest of the scout came to, and all the babies began to cry.
The Moonlight Knight said, “Excellent work Sailor Scouts, but
it sounds like you got some diapers to change. I’ll leave it too you.”
With that, the Knight left.
“Typical guy, but a hunky one, “Venus said.
At the end of the week, Mrs. Winston was finally getting
released from the hospital, “Jordan! my little guy, it’s your mommy.
I can’t tell you how grateful I am for taking care of Jordan while I
was sick. I hope he wasn’t too much trouble.”
“It was great,” Darien said.
“Ya, but the poor little guy missed his mommy. Now you be a
good boy and let your mommy get some rest,” Mina put in.
“And I’ll forgive you Jordan, for not Tallinn to me, as long
as your my best friend,’ Darien said.
Bye, Bye, Jordan,” Mina Said.
“Ba, Darien,” Jordan said, shocking Darien, “Mi-na.” This
also shocked Mina. Jordan said a final bye as Mrs. Winston strolled
Jordan on home.
Mina was the first to come out of her shock, “Unbelievable.”
That’s all she could say though.
“He said my name,” Darien said in excitement. Then together
they said, “We’re geniuses, we taught him how to walk and talk, all
right.”
Well that covers this chapter. I think it’s time for a little of my
own imagination to come into play here. Stay tuned for the next
