				Chapter 1
			Prince Darien was walking on the beach and he stoped for a moment to look at the moon. He sighed as he remembered the stories his mother used to tell him. The stories were about people that lived on the moon. Darien often wondered if the stories were true. He gave another sigh and turned to look at his castle then headed in that direction. When he got there he went to his room and got out a locket. The locket was gold and in the shape of a star and when he opened it up, a golden cresent moon would revolve around a silver ball and would play a melodie, but it never played. His mother gave it to him on his 10th birthday and told him it would play for him when he truly loved someone and it would play for both of them.. Then his mother got very sick and died. He sighed again, put the locket away and, went to bed. Up on a balcony, a young girl was looking down at Earth. She had always wndered what Earth life was like but, she would never know because she was not allowed to go there. She sighed in wonderment when she heard her name being called. "Princess Serenity, where are you?" called the voice. "I'm over here and you know I like to be called Serena," Serena called back. I'm very sorry princess, I forgot," said Mina as she walked out n the balconey "Your Mother wants you" "She does?" Yes, Serena, she does." said Mina. Serena sighed as she walked into the palace and went to find her mother. She found the throne room with four other girls. "Good, Serena, you are here." said the Queen, "Now, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina. You are goinng to be the royal protectors of my darling daughter, Serena." Queen Serenity handed them each a pen and said, "These pens have your planets signs on them. You were chosen to to lead a powerful team called the Sailor Scouts and you are going to start your training in a few days to learn how to use your new powers." "What about me?" asked Serena "Don't worry, I have not forgot about you. You are going to train with them but, you are going to learn how to use the Silver Imperal Crystal. Now, I need to speak to Serena alone; will you please leave us?" The Queen guestered towards the door. When the other girls left Queen Serenity said, "What would you like most for your birthday?" "I would like to go see earth." said Serena "Oh, Serena, you know how I disaprove..." said the Queen. "It would only be for one day and I will be extra carful.... PLEASE!!!" interrupted Serena as she gave a pitiful look. "All right...one day and that's all! Now don't go around asking me for anything else and don't tell anyone that you are going to earth. Alright?" said Queen Serinity, wh owas now a little pale. "Alright, Mom, I promise. So, when are we leaving?" "Meet me here tomorrow. You will leave with the last of the moon beam." Serena hugged her momand skipped off to her room to get ready for her trip to earth!
