Legend of the Excaliber - Chapter 8: Tsukinos Through Time
Serena, her parents and brother were out at the park, having a
picnic. It’s a warm sunny day, with only a few clouds above. Rachel,
Rini, and Mark were off doing something with the other Scouts so it was
just the Tsukinos. Serena asked, “So, what’s on the lunch menu.”
“I think it’s Spaghetti and ‘MEATBALLS,’ meatball ‘Head,’”
Sammy teased.
“Hay,” with that, Serena got up and took chase, while Sammy ran
for dear life.
Mr. and Mrs. Tsukino just laughed before Ken said, “Makes you
wonder if those two will ever change.” Ellen couldn’t agree more.
Once Serena gave up on catching Sammy, she went back to the table, and
the four ate BBQed Hot Dogs. After everything was put away, the four
gathered around and were about to get back into the van, when there was
a bright flash of light and everyone lost consciousness.
Serena was the first to come around. She sat up, and grabbed
her head due to a pounding headache. When Serena got a look around,
she noticed they were not in Tokyo park anymore. They were on a grass
field, but the terrain was different from the park, “Where the heck are
we?”
“That’s what I’d like to know,” Serena turned around to see
Sammy getting up also, and looking around. Ken and Ellen Tsukino came
to as well and looked in aw at their surroundings.
Ellen spoke up, “Where are we?”
“I have no idea, dear,” was Ken’s reply.
Serena was puzzled. They were knocked out in Tokyo park, then
they woke up somewhere else, so someone brought them here, where ever
here is. Serena decided to think things over by staring at the Moon,
but when she turned to where she last saw it, she nearly doubled over.
Ken, Sammy, and Ellen noticed this, and Serena’s Mom asked,
“Serena, what’s wrong?” Serena only pointed up into the sky, and they
all looked at what startled Serena so much, only to nearly double over
themselves. Up in the sky, instead of seeing the Moon, all four
Tsukinos saw................. the Earth.
Sammy was the first to speak, “What the........”
Sammy was interrupted by a portal opening and Sailor Pluto
stepped through, ”Good, your all awake. Sorry to take you all like
that, but we have a small problem here.”
“Your telling me Setsuna. What are we doing on the Moon?
‘WHEN’ are we?” Serena was in serious shock, and sarcastically
thought, .
“Serena, your needed for a short time. As for your family,
they just happened to be near you when I came and got you. The current
year is 991. Exactly one week after your last visit here,” Pluto
explained.
“Pluto, what’s going on, and where, on the Moon, are we,”
Serena asked in a not to happy mood.
“The Wiseman’s activities were noticed by Queen Beryl, and
she’s been trying to learn what happened ever since. You must help the
Elder, and Younger Scouts sweep the palace for anymore spies from the
Negaverse, or the time line will be altered. Now, as to where you are,
the palace is just over that hill,” Pluto said, pointing to a nearby
hill. With that, Pluto reopened a time gate, and walked through,
closing it behind her.
“Well, can’t keep the good people waiting,” Serena said, and
the Tsukinos began walking to the top of the hill. When they got
there, Serena’s parents, and Sammy, were aw struck. None of them
expected the palace to look that beautiful, and Serena gestured toward
it, ”Mom, Dad, Sammy. I give you the Moon Palace.” Once Serena’s
family was out of their stupor, they all continued their trek to the
palace.
When they got to the palace gate, the guard stopped them, “I’m
sorry, but Queen Serenity said not to let anyone in till further
notice. You’ll have to leave.”
“Will you please have someone tell her, Serena Tsukino wants to
see her,” Serena asked
“I’m sorry, but I have my orders not to......”
“Look just have someone tell her, if she still doesn’t want to
see me, then we’ll go,” Serena said. The guard agreed and sent someone
to inform the Queen.
Queen Serenity has been under stress for days. Ever since
Serena and her friends went back to the future last week, Beryl has
been sending spies up to the palace like no one’s business. Now she
was certain that only one more spy remained on the palace grounds, but
this last one was crafty. Just then, one of the palace guards came in,
“Excuse me your majesty, but we have someone at the gates that wishes
to see you.”
“I gave specific instructions not to......,”
“She says her name is Serena Tsukino your majesty,” the guard
reported.
Serenity stared at the guard in shock, “Are you sure you got
the name right?”
“Yes, your majesty. Should I show them in, or send them off,”
the guard asked.
“Them?” she asked.
“Yes, she’s with three others, presumably her family,” the
guard reported.
“Have them come to the thrown room immediately,” the Queen
commanded. The guard soluted, and left. A few minutes later, Queen
Serenity was greeted by Serena, and three people she recognized from
her daughters time on Earth, her adopted parents, and their son.
Ellen was amazed. When she walked into the throne room, she
saw a tall elegant woman with long white hair done up in the same style
as Serena’s. Ellen assumed this was Serena’s Silver Millennium mother,
Queen Serenity, and she had to admit, she certainly was beautiful, she
had this air about her that suggested she was a kind and gentle ruler.
Serena walked up to Serenity and said, “Sorry for coming
unannounced, but, one, Pluto just picked us up without warning, and
two, she said you’ve been having trouble with Beryl due to the
Wiseman’s activities.”
Serenity nodded her head happily, “It is good to see you again,
Serena. I was not expecting Pluto to bring you here.”
“Well, neither was I. One minute, I and my family are getting
ready to go home, from a day at a park, the next, I wake up just past
the foot hills. So, how’s the search effort going,” Serena asked and
Queen Serenity gave her the progress report and details about the spy.
apparently, it has the ability to change shape and look like anyone, or
anything. Serena formulated a search plan with Queen Serenity and went
off to join the search. After Serena left, Queen Serenity approached
the Tsukinos and decided to get to know them better.
Serena had been searching her assigned area of the palace for
sometime, when she suddenly had this erg to transform, so she did.
“MOON COSMIC POWER.”
Before she knew what she was doing, Serena tapped her right ear
and a red visor came up over her eyes, “Well, I was expecting a Mercury
computer to pop up, but this is better.” Serena began toying with her
new toy, so to speak, and learned how it worked rather quickly. She
began to use it to speed up the search more effectively. Sailor Moon
just rounded a corner when she suddenly tripped on something,
“WWWWWWAAAAAHHHHHH.”
“MEOW.”
‘THUNK’ ‘THUNK’
Sailor Moon sat up and turned to see a staggering Luna, trying
to figure what happened. Luna looked up and saw Sailor Moon, “Who are
you? We have no Sailor Scout of the Moon.”
Sailor Moon turned off her visor, “Geez, Luna, you scared me
half to death, I didn’t see you there. As to who I am, I’m surprised
Queen Serenity didn’t tell you about my visit here last week.”
Luna cursed herself for forgetting about what Queen Serenity
told her about when she got back a few days ago, ”Sorry, forgot she and
I talked about that.”
Sailor Moon mumbled, “And they say I’m the air head.”
“I heard that, Serena,” Luna said
“ No matter which century I’m in, your the same old Luna,
Luna,” Sailor Moon said as she put her visor back on, “Now to finish my
search.” But Serena didn’t half to go far before she heard a scream
coming from the training grounds, and Sailor Moon took off in a mad
dash.
“MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE.”
Younger Mars sent her new attack at the Youma, but it dodged
easily, “Hold still and let me dust you.”
“JUPITER THUNDER DRAGON.”
But Younger Jupiter’s attack also missed, “Man this think is
harder to kill then Zapdos.”
“Princess Serenity, go for cover,” Younger Venus said, and
Serenity agreed.
“VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SHOWER.”
Younger Venus managed to get a hit on the Youma, but it wasn’t
much. Now it was the Youma’s turn to attack. It sent multiple attacks
at all the scouts knocking them down. It was just about to go for the
finishing move when, “HOLD IT!!!”
The Youma, and the Younger Scouts turned to see, “SAILOR
MOON?!?!”
“I am Sailor Moon, the champion of Justice. And I say on
behalf of the Moon, I shall right all wrongs, and triumph over Evil.
And that means you, Nega trash.”
The Youma just attacked, and Sailor Moon dodged easily.
“MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST.”
Younger Mercury covered the area in a fog, and ran to Sailor
Moon, “That should hold him for a while. What are you doing here
Serena?”
“Your fighting the big, bad and ugly, and your wondering what
I’m doing here? Hay where’d it go?” Sailor Moon asked. After the fog
cleared the Youma was no where in sight.
Mercury took out her visor, “I’m scanning the area for him.”
After a minute, “I can’t find him. He must have left. “Sailor Moon
wasn’t convinced of that, and activated her visor, which surprised Amy,
“You have a visor too?”
Sailor Moon just nodded before she found the Youma disguised as
a bench, “Hay, Mercury, want to it on that bench?”
Younger Mercury caught on fast, “Nah, I’ll just freeze the
bench instead.” Before the Youma could transform back to its natural
form and dodge, Mercury attacked.
“MERCURY ICE BUBBLES FREEZE.”
The Youma bench was now frozen and couldn’t move. Sailor Moon
took this as her cue.
“MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK.”
The bench turned to dust, “DUSTED!!!!” Sailor Moon took her
Visor off and powered down as Princess Serenity came out of hiding,
“Got a new attack I see.” The six chatted for a few minutes before
Serena and Serenity decided to play a little trick.
Back at the Throne room, Queen Serenity, and the Tsukinos have
been talking for several hours before the Younger Scouts walked into
the room, and Serenity asked, “What do you have to report Younger
Venus?”
“Our ‘guest’ has been dusted,” reported Younger Venus.
Queen Serenity replied, “Finally, I can get some rest.”
Younger Mars said, “Ya, but we just have one small problem.”
Queen Serenity didn’t like this, “What?”
The Younger Scouts parted to reveal two Princess Serenities,
and Mars asked, “Which one of these meatball heads is Princess
Serenity, and which one is Serena.”
Everyone cracked up at this, even Sammy, who said, “I don’t
believe it. Serena was called a meatball head during the Silver
Millennium too?” Sammy laughed so hard he fell to the floor laughing
his head off.
Queen Serenity calmed down from her hysterics, and walked up to
the pair of Moon Princesses, and noticed one was a tad taller then the
other, and pointed at her, “Your Serena.”
The other Serenity powered down to Serena, “Nope, wrong guess
Queen Serenity. Princess, I believe you can take the elevator shoes
off now.” Queen Serenity watch as her daughter got out of a pair of
shoes that looked like they had 6 in. thick soles, and everyone cracked
up again, and Queen Serenity could only join in.
Just then, Sailor Pluto materialized into the room, “Sorry to
interrupt, but it’s time to go. Serena and her family said their good
byes and followed Pluto back through the time gate.
Serena, and her family stepped on to the grass field, and
looked around. It looked like Tokyo park. Serena looked up, and saw
the Moon, and began to think she was back where she belonged..........
until she turned around and looked past her parents, “What are we doing
here?”
Ellen was confused, “We live here Serena, why else would we be
here?”
Serena shook her head, and pointed to something behind her
mother, “Mom, we still are not in the 20th century.”
Serena’s parents and her brother turned to see a large building
that looked like it was a palace made out of crystal. Mrs. Tsukino
spoke up, “What is that?”
Serena answered, “The Crystal Palace of Crystal Tokyo.”
Sammy caught on, “You mean.......”
Serena nodded her head, “Yep. We’re in the 30th Century,
Rini’s home time.”
“Serena is right Mrs. Tsukino,” said a voice behind them.
Everyone turned around to see someone dressed similarly to Tuxedo mask,
only he had no cape, had a walking staff instead of a cane, and his
tuxedo was lavender.
Serena said, “I take it you were expecting us. Am I right,
King Darien?”
The man nodded his head, “If you will all follow me please.”
Everyone did as told, too much in shock to do anything else, well, in
Serena’s parents’, and Sammy’s case, but not Serena’s.
The group entered the palace and began walking in a series of
corridors. “Does anyone get lost in this place,” Sammy asked.
King Darien answered, “Sometimes, but not often.” They reached
a door and walked into the palace throne room. The figure at the far
end of the room, standing very elegantly, took the Tsukinos’ breaths
away.
Serena walked up to the figure and said, “Neo-Queen Serenity,
the last time I saw you, you were still trapped in that quartz prison.
Good to see you out of it.” The queen just smiled. After this, the
rest of the Tsukinos walked up to Serenity and, eventually got into
casual conversation, once the Tsukinos got out of their exasperated
state.
In the time stream, Pluto was looking for the Tsukinos, “I’ve
never been this careless before, I should have supervised their trip
back to the 20th century, but then again, that tear in time wouldn’t
have gotten mended so easily if I did." Finally, she found them, “How
ironic can time get? Well, at least they can keep a little girl
company that was just about to journey to the 20th century to train as
a scout.” With that, Pluto opened a gate and stepped into the Crystal
Palace throne room. Everyone looked up to see her as she apologized,
“Sorry for the inconvenience your majesty. I did not know they would
end up in the wrong time period.”
Neo-Queen Serenity just said, sternly, “Pluto, how many times
do I have to tell you. Don’t use title on me. You know how much I
hate formalities.” Everyone got a good laugh out of this as they all
thought,
“Sorry Serenity. Should I get the little one for you,” Sailor
Pluto asked. Serenity nodded, “As long as her parents say ‘she’ is all
set, yes.” With that, Pluto went to make sure ‘she’ was ready for the
trip to the past.
The Tsukinos were puzzled, and Serena brought up the obvious
first, “Little one? To whom was Sailor Pluto referring to?”
Serenity chuckled, “ She
was referring to Sera Usagi Baker.”
Serena was puzzled, ”Who’s she?”
Her future self answered, “Your Niece. She’s Molly’s
daughter.” At this, Serena did what Serenity predicted, Serena rolled
her eyes back, and fainted.
‘THUNK'
“You know, if I was given a Yen for every time that happened in
front of me, I would have been a million air before I was 20,”
Neo-Queen Serenity said, which brought everyone into fits of laughter,
before Sailor Pluto came in the throne room with a little girl about 6
yrs. old. She had black hair done up in Meatballs, and her pig tails
didn’t go even a foot yet. All in all, the little girl was cute.
Behind the little girl was two floating balls, one looked like Luna’s
head, the other looked like Artemis’s head.
As Serena came to, little Sera walked up to the group and said
happily, “Sagi left Luna ball behind. I am taking it with my Artemis
ball.” This got a few more fits from everyone.
Serena walked up to the little girl and knelt down next to her,
“Hi, my name is Serena. What’s yours?”
The little girl beamed, “I am Sera. Are you really my Aunt
Sere from the past?” Serena nodded, and before she knew it, the little
one embraced Serena in a hug, which Serena returned affectionately.
“Now you behave your self while in the past, ok Sera,” said a
voice Serena recognized.
Sera said, “Ok, Mommy.” Serena turned to see Molly, in sailor
form. She looked basically the same as her 20th century counter part,
only mature looking. Elder Earth just smiled at Serena.
Pluto interrupted, “It’s time to go.” With that, everyone said
their good byes, and Serena picked up Sera and her mother got Sera’s
luggage before they went into the time gate.
When they came out, Serena took a look around in every
direction, and was satisfied that they were defiantly back in Tokyo.
It was getting late now, so everyone went for home.
When they got home, Serena, her family, and Sera were greeted
by Rini, and Rachel, and Rachel asked, “Where were you all, and who’s
the little girl?”
Rini recognized her, “Sera!!!” The two ran to each other and
embraced in a hug.
Rachel was confused, “What’s going on?”
Serena just said, “Tell you about it tomorrow, Rach. Right
now, we are all tired and want to hit the sack.” Rachel agreed and
left for her Hotel while Serena, Rini, Sera, and the Tsukinos went into
the house.
Once they were inside, Serena spoke to Sera, “Will deal with
where you’ll stay tomorrow, but for tonight, you’ll sleep with Rini.
How does that sound?”
Sera just shouted while running up the stairs with Rini,
“YYYYYAAAAAAAAA!!!” After Rini and Sera were settled in for the night,
Serena went to bed herself for the night just as Luna climbed in her
open window and went to sleep at Serena’s foot of the bed as well,
after Serena closed the window.
It wasn’t as long as I thought it would be, but it’s long enough. So
