~`*/ the [almost] ultimate hana yori dango page \*`~

genre: romantic comedy / drama

the story of hana yori dango follows the life of a poor girl named Tsukushi who transfers to Eitoku, a rich school in Japan...after the first few days she learns of the F4, a grp of RICH (@$$) guys who basically "terrorize" the entire school...nearly everyone worships them -- it's pathetic and sick! but not tsukushi...she gets into a lil argument with Doumyouji, the one w/the worst temper...meanwhile...Tsukushi develops a crush on Hanazawa Rui, although he loves his childhood "Sweetheart" Shizuka... lots more interesting stuff happens, and Doumyouji and Tsukushi are constantly arguing, but Doumyouji eventually falls in love with her partially for her spunky attitude. And of course, the huge disparity in their social statuses is important in later episodes...so grab a copy and start watching :D you'll be hooked. i think there are 51? episodes....

Hana Yori Dango pictures page

in addition to the series of 51 (?) episodes, there are also the Hana Yori Dango animated movie AND the HYD Live action movie that was released in 1995 (played by real actors). I have seen both~

the animated movie is pretty amusing...but it doesn't follow the original storyline at all! but the music is wonderful :D and the characters are still really *intriguing*

HYD Live action movie -- Uchida Yuki stars as Makino Tsukushi and Shosuke Tanihara as Doumyouji Tsukasa. the ending has this weird "twist," but it's so funny at the same time! --> especially seeing Doumyouji in a speedo *1/2 laugh 1/2 shudder* unfortunately i had to watch it with only chinese subtitles. but i caught most of what was going on...it's not that tough to follow the story once you've seen the series because it's basically a condensed version of the series.

i LOVE Hana Yori Dango music -- all of it! These are some of the vocal songs:
Futsuu no Nichiyoubi (Ordinary Sunday) by Kikuta Tomohiko.
Kenka no ato de (After the Quarrel) by Kikuta Tomohiko.
Todoku Kana by CaYOCO.

this is a great Hana Yori Dango page...I've been to it many times ^_^
I would also like to mention that i think the seiyuu for Hanazawa Rui, Yamamoto Kouji...is a major hottie. ~sigh~ Would you like to see what he looks like?

footnote: from L to R, the characters in the background of this page are Doumyouji Tsukasa, Makino Tsukushi, and Hanazawa Rui --my fave!--
