Thunderbolt Review

Thunderbolt, well, it doesn't have much plot. Basically, an American race car driver challenged Jackie, a mechanic who is hired by the police to find illegally-made cars. This bad-guy race car driver challenged Jackie to a formal race in Japan. After Jackie declines, he kidnaps his sister. So, he agrees, and you'll just have to see what happens.

Thunderbolt was made in 1995, right before Jackie took America by storm with Rumble in the Bronx. The fights in it are great, including one in a car garage, and one in a casino. The fights were sped up, and in a few parts he used a stunt double (Oh no!). However, the phenominal fight choreographer Sammo Hung directed them. So, if you're looking for a high-speed chase with a couple cool fights, and you don't care much about the plot and just want to see it because Jackie is in it (Like me) pick this one up, you'll love it or hate it. I give Thunderbolt an 8 out of 10.
