The sun beams down happily on the three girls, and the wind played with their hair. It was a beautiful day, and an eventful day.

"This is really good, Fuu.", Hikaru exclaims while still chewing on a piece of sandwich.
"I agree, this is wonderful.", Umi followed. Fuu blushed and allowed herself a small smile.
"Thank you, I'll have to make lunch for you again sometime."

Their little picnic was suddenly brought to a halt as a scream was heard clearly through the entire park.
"What was that??" Hikaru jumped up and prepared for a fight.
The scream was quickly followed by deep gutteral growling and the crashing of miscellaneous object against trees.
"That sounds like a Monster-san!" Fuu exclaimed.
By this time Hikaru was already running towards the sounds with amazing speed and agility. The growling became louder and more menacing by the second. Quickly, the monster came into view, it was large and it possessed claws almost as big as Hikaru's entire body.
"FIRE ARROW!" Hikaru yelled, throwing her arm in the monster's direction, but nothing happened. Not even a slightly warm breeze. "Huh? My magic doesn't work!" Hikaru stood dumbfounded, and completely away from the monster's attention.
"Of course your magic doesn't work, this is Earth! Not Cefiro!" Umi called as she caught up to Hikaru, with Fuu behind her.
"Then it seems we're helpless..." Fuu panted.

Hikaru looked down and kicked at clump of grass. Hikaru looked up at the monster and glared. "Damn You!!" she yelled as she bolted at the monster.
"What are you going to do!" Fuu called after her.
"I'm going to get rid of the monster!" she called back.
"With her backpack?" Umi mumbled as Hikaru jumped in the air and landed on the monster's head. It growled and swiped at Hikaru as she kicked and punched, but for all the effort, none of it seemed to affect the monster. With every last ounce of her energy drained, Hikaru backed off, disapointed.
"It's no good...." Hikaru said between breaths. "We have nothing to kill it with...."
Umi wasted no time and drew a practice fencing sword. The monster seemed annoyed with Hikaru's attempts and turned to attack the three of them.
"KYAAAA!!" Umi attacked, when on the other side of the monster, there was a scream, the moster turned around so quickly that it knocked the screamer back with it's large paws.
"AMI!" Fuu yelled as she ran to the victim and dragged her away from the monster. Umi then attacked again, and again, each swipe of the thin blade connecting with all the force Umi could muster, but the monster didn't seem to be taking any damage. Hikaru, tired from the monster attack went to Fuu.
"You know her?" Hikaru asked Fuu.
"She's a good friend of mine." Fuu replied softly.
"Oooh, it hurts!" Ami whined as she grabbed at her right leg. Hikaru lifted part of Ami's skirt back and saw a large deep gash on Ami's calf nearly covering it. Fuu gasped and turned her head as soon as she saw the wound.
"If only I had my healing magic...." she whispered.
Meanwhile, Umi swiped once more with her blade, managing to avoid the monster's claws, until one of the monster's paws connected throwing Umi several feet. Umi collapsed.
	"I can't hurt it. It doesn't feel pain..."Umi gasped.
"Maybe you need a differnt approach." A voice spoke above her. Umi slowly lifted her head as the sound of a sword being unsheathed made the monster turn. Umi's eyes barely focused but it was enough to know who was talking.
"Kanzaki senpai...." Umi smiled, her head flopped down again and she lay back and listened to the fight.
Hikaru watched as young man ran towards the monster with a katana blade in hand. With one strong swipe, he connected and sliced the monster nearly in half. The remains disapeared into mist like the monsters the Magic Knights had fought on Cefiro and left the young man standing battle ready. He took a quick look around and sheathed his sword. Calmly he walked over to Umi and brushed the hair out of her face.
"I'll call the ambulance." He said softly.

In the hospital, Umi opens her eyes to find she is in a hospital gown lying on a very uncomfortable bed. She blinks as her eyes adjust to the flourescent lights in the room.
	"Hikaru! Fuu!" Umi exclaims softly.
"Umi! You're awake!" Hikaru jumps up and down in excitment.
"How are you doing?" Fuu asks.
"I think I'm doing okay. A little sore, but alright." Umi replied, her eyes move to the windows as she realizes what had just happened. "Monsters on Earth...."
	"Yes, unfortunately." Fuu answers.
"If only I could have used the sword I had in Cefiro...."
"If only I could have used my fire magic none of this would have happened."
"It's stupid to wish for things that we can't have. And there is no guarantee, that if we could have used our swords or our magic that this still wouldn't have happened." Fuu consoled "That was, after all, a very strong monster, and we haven't fought for a while."
"I don't care!" Hikaru yelled, "I want magic back! I want my Armor and Sword back too! I want something so I can defend this world! I want something so monsters won't be able to tear apart my home! I want something so this won't happen again!"

A bright flash of light interupted Hikaru's speach and blinded the girls. In the light a face could barely be made out. Slowly the face became less foggy and was recognized.
	"Guru Clef!"
"Girls from another world, Magic Knights, I'm glad I have been able to speak with you before the situation became too dangerous. I'm sure that you've realized the monsters on your planet." Clef began in his usual mellow tone.
"Yes, and people have already been injured!" Started Hikaru
"A good friend of mine was hurt." Added Fuu
"We were unable to stop it ourselves. It was too powerful...." continued Umi.
"I understand. It is difficult for anyone to fight without what they were taught with, just as it is difficult to walk without legs or breathe without air. Unfortunately, there is only one way to stop the monsters and that is to come back to Cefiro."
Why? All the monsters are on Earth!"
"The monsters you have are the result of the people of Cefiro. They are afraid for their wellbeing and their wories have created the monsters that you see. I am unsure of how these monsters are arriving on your world, but I assure you that they will continue to appear until the people feel safe."
"How can we do that? We don't know what's bothing them." Umi explained.
"The people of Cefiro are afraid that our world will end because our pillar is missing."
"You want us to find the new pillar??"
"Here, " A delicate necklace apears in front of Hikaru, it's pendant, a single jewel made from two beatutifully coloured stones twisted together. "I will speak with you later. when you want to return to Cefiro, just wish it and this neckace will do the rest."
	"Wait, Clef!"
Guru Clef's image fades off into nothing and Hikaru begins to tear up slightly.
"I've secretly wanted to go back to Cefiro and see all the friends that I made there, but now that I have a chance, I don't want to leave...." Hikaru mumbles
The creaking of a door forces Hikaru to wipe her tears and smile. Umi's face on the other hand brightened genuinely.
	"Kanzaki-senpai!"
"Please, call me Ryosuke. I hate being called 'senpai' it's so uncaring."
"You really saved my butt today. You're really brave." Umi chimed.
"I guess I've got too much 'knight' in me to watch a beautiful lady fall at the hands of a monster." Ryosuke beamed a smile at Umi, who returned the smile and sighed. Before Umi could boost Ryosuke's ego anymore, Fuu jumped in.
"Ryosuke, do you always carry a sword around."
"Well, the katana was going to be a present for my father. I'm glad I had it though, otherwise the fight could have really gotten out of hand."
"You're really good with that sword. It looked like you had had some practice."
"Well, umm....." Ryosuke looked like a rat being washed downstream.
"WILL YOU STOP DRILLING HIM!!!" Umi yelled to the surprise of Hikaru, Fuu and Ryosuke, as well as many of the hospital staff. The silence that followed was broken by a pair of sweatdrops on Fuu's head.
"Ehehehe... Well Girls, I don't suppose you know anything else about the monster that attacked today." Ryosuke said in an attempt to lighten up the room a bit.
"Actually there is a lot more to this monster than you think. They are actually from Cefiro, a place...." Hikaru started, but was cut off by Umi who was quick to clamp her hand over Hikaru's mouth.
"You can't tell him that! He'll think we're insane!"
"Cefiro..... hey, isn't that the place where your will is supposed to control everything?" Ryosuke asked. The girls were dumbfounded.
	"You know about Cefiro?"
"Of course, my grandfather used to tell me stories as a child about a place called Cefiro and the legend of the Machine Gods. If this conversation is going where I think it's going then you were going to tell me that the three of you are the Legendary Magic Knights and have to go to Cefiro to stop the monsters right?"
	"Wow..." Fuu exclaimed softly.
"Well then, you're going to need a good looking fighter like me to help you with the monsters. When do we leave?"
"Are you always this intuitive?" Umi asked with a slightly suggestive tone.

The conversation between Umi and Ryosuke continued and it was quickly noticed my Fuu (and Hikaru as well, soon after) that Umi and Ryosuke were good for each other. Fuu became anxious and edgy.
"I'm going for a walk Umi-san. I'll be back later." Fuu said, almost angrily. This scared Hikaru because she had never seen Fuu like this before, so Hikaru quickly followed. Umi, surprised said her goodbyes and ran out the door after them.
