Love Symphony
Section Two: Sorrow Symphony
Usagi is still fainted and lying on her bed. Four inners, four outers, Taiki, Yaten, Luna, and
Artemis are all in the room. They're worried. But soon, Usagi slowly opens her eyes.
Rei (softly): How are you feeling? Are you feeling alright?
Usagi nods and looks at everyone in the room one by one. Then her eyes fix on Taiki and Yaten.
Usagi: I'd like to leave with you guys immediately to see Fighter.
Before her friends try to say something, Usagi continues.
Usagi: I HAVE to go see Seiya. It's up to you guys: either you come with me or stay here.
But I have to go. It's definitely not negotiable!
Everyone looks at her serious face and sighs.
Haruka: Are you sure you want to do this, Neko-chan?
Usagi (nods): Definitely!
Michiru (looking at the others): Well then, I guess we'll have to go with her then.
Setsuna: Well, not all of us. Hotaru and I have to stay on Earth, in case anything happens.
But we'll be with you, every step of the way.
Rei (smiling to Usagi): Yeah, wherever you are, we'll be with you.
Everyone (except Taiki and Yaten) nods. Usagi smiles. She is touched, by the fact that she has
so many friends who consider her feelings above anything.
Usagi: Thank you guys. So can we go now?
Ami: Not so fast. Remember we still have a life here on Earth? We don't know how long we'll be
going. Don't you think we should think of a good excuse for our parents before we leave?
Usagi is crestfallen, but she knows that's true.
Yaten: Are you guys sure you're ok to hold your lives here and leave with us?
Minako: Yaten-kun, have you been listening?
Everyone smiles.
Yaten: What? I just wanted to make sure!
Taiki: Alright, clam down. I think I've come up with a suggestion. How about this? It's summer
holiday anyway. You guys might say you're all going on a trip for a uncertain long time to
somewhere far away and it's not easy to call home, like Europe.
Usagi: Great idea! Let's do it!
Ami: Usagi-chan, we can't do it and leave right away. We should say we're leaving next week or
something like that. We need to convince our parents it's a real thing, and we need to convince
them to let us go too.
Usagi is crestfallen again, but she doesn't want her parents worry about her, so she nods.
Usagi: Yeah, you're right. I'll try my very best to convince my parents. I don't think it's
going to be very hard though. After all, I'm leaving with you guys.
Usagi was right. Her parents let her go. Actually, they agree totally. They were worried when
Usagi was so depressed. Now they're happy to see her so active to go out with friends. The
inners have convinced their parents not to see them takeoff at the airport and they leave their
luggages at outers' house.
Usagi: Let's go.
Hotaru: Please be careful.
Usagi: We will.
Setsuna: I'll inform you with anything happen here with sailor pager. Keep an eye on it.
They said their goodbyes and transform into sailor soldiers and take off. Soon, they arrive at
the planet Kinomku and they transform back to their normal right away. Kinomku is a beautiful
place. The streets and the air are clean and people are smiling. The residential, commercial,
and industrial sides are totally and clearly separated in order to keep people having a good
place to live. There are "cars" flying in the air, buses, taxies, etc., as for transportation.
The cities are all well-developed. The urban side is full with high technology but they still
keep a country side, with many gardens and plenty of plant. But Usagi doesn't have the heart to
admire the beautiful planet.
Usagi: Where are we going now?
Taiki: Driving you to our palace of course.
Ami: Taiki-kun, you said you had another battle. Why does the planet still look so good?
Taiki: Actually, the war didn't happen here. We just helped another planet, that's all.
Soon they arrive the palace, and Taiki and Yaten lead them to see Kakyuu.
Kakyuu: Welcome to our planet.
Usagi: How's Seiya?
Kakyuu shakes her head sadly and Usagi starts sobbing. Everyone tries to comfort her.
Usagi: I'm okay. I'm fine. May I see him?
Kakyuu nods and everyone follows her lead. They walk to the "Star Castle".
Kakyuu: My castle is called the "Fire Castle" in the palace. Fighter's is called the "Star
Castle", Maker's is called the "Air Castle", Healer's is called the "Night Castle".
Ami (to Taiki): That's how you guys named your names on Earth?
Rei: Just out of curiosity, Kakyuu-san, you call them by their sailor names but it seems
they're in their normal human forms most of the time.
Kakyuu: They were always in their sailor forms before our planet was destroyed. But they got
used to their forms on Earth so they asked me to allow them to remain like this. That made no
difference to me anyway, as long as they're willing to transform back to sailor soldiers when I
need them, so I granted it. But I'm used to call them by their sailor names, that's all.
They're standing right in front of a room in the Star Castle now. Taiki opens the door. And they
walk in. Seiya is lying on the bed like a "Sleeping Beauty". Usagi looks at him very sadly and
touches his face. Everyone is in alert for her any action.
Usagi: You guys don't need to act like that. I'm fine. Seiya's just sick. He isn't... Well,
I'm okay.
everyone (thinking): That's what we're worried about.
Usagi leans forward and stares at Seiya's face. Then she caresses his face and head and hair.
Kakyuu: Maker and Healer are taking care of Fighter pretty well.
Usagi: Kakyuu-san, I'd like to ask a favour.
Kakyuu: Sure.
Usagi: I'd like to take care of him from now on.
Kakyuu (smiling): Sure.
Usagi is blushed. But she continues.
Usagi: I mean everything. I'd like to spend all my time with him.
Kakyuu (smiling): Of course. I think Fighter would like that.
Usagi starts her work right away. She takes care of everything: food, cloth, etc. She cooks the
meals for Seiya, puts it into his mouth, and wipes away those falling from his mouth. Although
she is blushed every time, she insists to bath Seiya and change his cloths. Although her friends
think that's not very good, she insists to do everything, alone. Although she makes mistakes all
the time, she insists to do everything, alone. She thinks that her hope, her faith, and her
insistence will wake Seiya up. One day, Usagi is making food in the kitchen with four inners,
Haruka, Michiru, Taiki, Yaten, Luna, and Artemis helping her. After a crash in the kitchen...
Rei: Oh god! Please, please, please, please leave the kitchen right away.
Yaten: I can't believe there's someone like you in this world! Are you trying to destroy our
palace or our planet?!
Usagi gets tears.
Usagi (sobbing): I'm just trying to do something for Seiya...
The others rush to comfort her.
Girls (overlapping): It's okay. It's okay.
Luna: You do this every time, Usagi-chan! Whenever you've done something wrong, you cry to get
out from it!
Usagi stops crying and makes a funny face. (She still has tears.)
Usagi: Alright, I'm bringing Seiya the food.
Usagi leaves the room and walks towards to Seiya's room.
Haruka: She seems happier these days.
Ami: That's because she has faith in what she's doing. She always does. And she can see
Seiya-kun everyday now. She takes care of him really well. She takes care of everything. She has
done a wonderful job.
Makoto: Yeah, although sometime she makes a lot of mistakes.
Everyone looks at the "kitchen after a war" and gets sweat-dropped. Few minutes, while everyone
is busy at cleaning up the mess, Usagi screams and runs into the kitchen.
Usagi (gasping): Seiya...Seiya...Seiya...
Everyone gets very nervous.
Rei: What? What happened? What happened to Seiya-kun?
Usagi (nervously): I...I don't know.
Yaten: Oh please! Then why did you scream?
Usagi is about to cry.
Usagi (sobbing): Because...because he's disappeared!!!
