NOT GONE WITH THE CHARM

I always kept the charm which my ex-boyfriend gave to me. It was bought in Hong Kong. I put it in my coin purse and had that coin purse in my pocket for two years. It had special meaning to me because it was one of the few things remaining from him. Even after we broke up, I could not take it way from my coin purse since the time with him was so wonderful. That charm was emerald green, almost the same size and thickness as a dollar with a hole in the center. It was said to have the power to bring money. One day when I opened my coin purse at Bloor station, that charm dropped onto the floor and broke into two pieces. Needless to say, I got very sad. It was something I wanted to keep all my life. However, I could do nothing but pick up the pieces and put them back into my coin purse. I was depressed, but that was not all. That night to make matters worse, my coin purse was stolen. Was it just a coincidence that the charm was cracked and my coin purse was stolen on the same day? Or, did the charm predict that my coin purse would be stolen? The coin purse was replaced though the same could not be said for the charm. The charm may be gone, but he is still alive in my memory.
