Short Stories

Aibou
Sensoo's 2.5 Challenge: "Your choice of genre, however, one of the characters must be in love with something that is not alive. Be it a dead beau, favorite weapon, the complexities of a distributive justice... There must also be mention of a tortoise and taxidermy."
I had been wanting to work with my wannabe Briareos (Sam) for a while, and this turned out to be a nice time to try it. As you may have noticed, I'm a long-winded bastard who writes few stories as... short as this ^^; but I was quite pleased with the end result...

Akujunkan
Sensoo's 3rd Challenge: "We all have a first original character from earlier in our writing history. Maybe s/he was a "Mary Sue/Gary Stu," maybe s/he's from a fandom we don't want to admit to ever liking, maybe s/he is a complete embarrassment, but s/he was your first love.
My challenge, is for you to bring him/her/it back. Maybe you've refined him/her/it into a better character already, but we want to see him/her. If s/he belonged to a certain fandom, at least make an allusion to it. If you have a picture, include it. Also, it'd be nice if you listed the year you created him/her, the fandom, and if there is no fandom, at least a comprehensive summary of the plot s/he's in."
Details inside. Not a great piece, but... well, I didn't have much to work with in the first place ^^;

GTT
Challenge 4: We all have our little characters and worlds that we write for, so how about trying to write for the characters and worlds of others? Post some characters/world details/story/etc. of one of your own works and pick up the characters/world details/story/etc. of someone else and write a short story with them. Try not to be too concerned with bastardization, as I suppose that more or less is the underlying motive behind this particular challenge :3
This challenge was actually proposed by myself, and... didn't seem to be received too well ^^;; Oh well. At any rate, I wrote for S's "Broken," which you can read more about on da webpage. Some of this ended up being criticism on the structure of modern education systems, some inspired by my old Japanese teacher's stories of teaching in inner-city Osaka, and some of it became shameless self-insert with... myself. ;B Thankfully, I was able to tone that last part down to something much more tolerable... ^^;

High Risk Maneuver
Sensoo's 5th Challenge: Write what you think goes on in the daily life on one of the TLT members. Make it dark and dramatic. Make it shoujo and silly. The more misconceptions we have about each other's lives, the better.
So I ended up doing bw's life, which I know nothing about. In these cases, only complete and utter nonsense can compensate for my lack of real knowledge :B

All we need is some ice cream and a hug!
Challenge 6: Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write a story with two people in love. When I say love, it can't be platonic or whatnot (because S can do that in his sleep :B). It must be romantic. You can be as explicit as you want, but somebody's got to be in love.
Contextual limitations:
- having a catboy/girl/person in a world not full of catpeople (i.e. normal humans are more prevalent)
- introducing NO characters that have an angsty past (MY GOD! WE'RE DOOMED!!! XD)
The (somewhat) fictional self-insert fanfiction of my life. :P As you can tell, I didn't exactly try to do a romance, even though that had been my original purpose when I proposed the challenge...
