I like Monkey!

Hello and welcome to Nikko! Whenever people come to visit (except for Ryan), I take them on up to Nikko to see the monkeys. The first time I went we only encountered a few, and only one that came up to our car. But the second time I went (with Lisa), we hit the jackpot. At the rest stop they were EVERYWHERE. TO get to the rest stop, at the top of the mountain, you have to go up the windiest road in the world, so sayeth I. And then you have to go down an even narrower, yet no less winding, road. Luckily, except for one brief attack against my shoulder and another lunge for Lisa, there were no real attacks. Last year, monkeys in Chiba-ken, below my ken, were attacking people in the cities. These were scared and threatening, but nothing bad came of it (except for a paw print on my shoulder). Gaze upon the monkey!!

The Road

The Improper Bostonian
Lisa brought along a copy of the Improper when she visited, hoping to get a picture in it. Apparently, if you send in a picture from a distant or interesting place holding a visible copy of the Improper, they will print it in a special section. So, there we were. With monkeys. The one she is showing it to was just beginning his lunge toward the magazine. The mother near me had just finished mauling my shoulder and was confused as to why I not only remained still, but why I hadn't left. And then we gave a little guy a free copy...
