RPG Rules
This is a very complicated game that I created using Javascript. And I know your thinking, "Huh?
That doesn't look like much." Well it is. It involves a little bit of luck along with strategy. And its gonna be kind of hard for me to explain all of the rules
so I am going to set it up as if you had hit a button.
You start out by first hitting the roll button, and a random number will pop up. This is the strength of your attack.
Therefore, the higher the number, the more powerful your attack is. Your enemy also receives a number
when you hit the roll button. Got that so far? Good. Now for the hard to explain part.
Upon getting your number you will select one of the three options available: Attack, Defend, or Move
If you hit the Attack Button and...
- Your number is higher than the enemy's number, the enemy will receive damage. How much damage depends upon
how much bigger your number is than his. e.g. I roll 5 and he rolls 3 - a difference of 2, therefore the enemy receives
minimal damage. But if I roll 10 and he rolls 3 - a difference of 7, therefore the enemy recieves
maximum damage.
- Your number is equal to the enemy's number, YOU will receive damage. The only way to avoid damage in
this situation is to hit the Move button.
- Your number is lower than the enemy's number, you will receive damage. How much damage depends upon
how much bigger his number is than yours. e.g. He rolls 5 and I roll 3 - a difference of 2, therefore I receive
minimal damage. But if he rolls 10 and I roll 3 - a difference of 7, I recieve maximum damage.
If you hit the Defend Button and...
- Your number is lower than the enemy's, you will successfully defend his attack. UNLESS his number is 10 bigger than
yours, upon which you will receive a small amount of damage.(In the first fight with Radditz it is impossible for his number to be 10
bigger than yours)
- Your number is higher than the enemy's, you have a 30% chance of receiving a power-up(I will explain power-ups below).
Otherwise you will defend his attack successfully.
- Your number is equal to the enemy's number, YOU will receive damage. The only way to avoid damage in
this situation is to hit the Move button.
If you hit the Move Button and...
- Your number is equal to the enemy's number, you WILL NOT receive damage.
- You have a 5% chance of receiving minimal damage.
- You have a 5% chance of receiving 25 power-up points.(I will explain power-ups below)
- Otherwise your move will be successful.
Power-ups
- There are two available power-ups that you can use(I may decide to add more later). Here is where the strategy part of the game comes in.
Upon receiving 100 power-up points you will be able to do a ki blast. This blast is a gaurunteed 35 damage points to the enemy. Upon receiving
200 power-up points you will be able to do a spirit bomb. This bomb is a gaurenteed 50 damage points to the enemy. Once you use either one of
these attacks your power-up will be set back to 0.
