A.J.'s Homepage A.J. in London

This Thursday I was talking to that American woman in our room. She is leaving tomorrow. Hadn't really seen her that much while she was at The Generator in my room all the time, but started talking to her cos she had a 56k modem with her. Of course, as an American she also thinks that the British are light years behind when it comes down to computers and internet. We agreed that the many internet cafes are only indicating that many people still have no internet access or even no computer at home. Then she also told me that people are usually only paying 7 $ per month for internet, but of course have much faster lines. Oh well. Standard for PCs at the moment is 750 Mhz and 128 MB RAM, she said. So my new PC is standard ... :o) ... later that day we had been recording a role play at university for practising reasons. Now finally this French guy realises that he's always speaking too fast. Apparantly that's not the problem why I barely understand him ... it's because he's pronouncing everything the French way so I always think he's talking French and I therefore don't understand it. Oh, and I've been losing £ 4 again in Chinatown ... certainly not my biggest lost so far, but now the A.J. the gambler is almost dead. Maybe I can get back up from the ashes ... :o) ... lights out.
Money spent: £ 6.38 (total: £ 752.02) (money lost: £ 4 - total plus: £ 0.90)
