In TRY, Amelia and Zelgadis meet again, only this time they are once again on the same side. Prince Phil was heading a group of adventurers who were willing to sail outside of the magical barrier that once surrounded the magic using countries. Of course, Amelia is with him helping out with most of the finer details, such as map points and areas that the adventurers were to watch out for. Unbeknownst to her, Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis were in the crowd of spectators that had come to cheer the travelers on.

Lina is the first one to spot Amelia, and says, "Hey, wait a second, that's Amelia! Zel, look, it's Amelia!" This line shows that Lina is aware of Zel and Amelia's feelings for each other, even though the chimera looks to be indifferent to Lina's attempts to attract Amelia's attention. Amelia, for her part, doesn't look to thrilled when she thinks she hears Lina's voice in the crowd. Can't really blame her, after all, last time Lina showed up while Amelia was "doing Princess things", a kingdom got blown up.

While Lina is trying to get Amelia's attention, Filia shows up again, does a very good Xelloss impersonation (meaning she says things without giving away her motive), and vanishes. Lina then plows her way through the guards around the platform that Amelia and her father are standing on, with Gourry and Zelgadis right behind her. The reunion is short lived, however, as Filia, now in dragon form, swoops down to attack the Slayers Gang. Once again, the group is in trouble.

I would like to make a special note that, when Gourry and Lina first meet up with Zel in TRY, Zel at first asks how they are, then he says, "I hear you two are already a couple." Lina, at this remark, looks like she's ready to knock his head off, while Gourry kind of grins and blushes in the background, and tries to defuse the situation before spells can begin flying. Also, when Dragon Filia attacks the ship, Zelgadis shoves several wooden beams off of him, while holding Amelia (she looks like she's really out of it) up underneath one arm. Also, when Dragon Filia did a Laser Breath number towards the ship, Zelgadis and Amelia simultaneously cast the Burst Flare spell, again without any preplanning. This pair works so well together! ^.^
