'Pune Heart Brigade' is a trust sponsered by the Rotary Club of Pune-South. Pune Heart Brigade is running a ambulance service exclusively for people suffering from a heart attack. Pune Telephone has allotted special telephone number 105 to Pune Heart Brigade ambulance service. After dialling 105, an ambulance equipped with drugs and medical equipment for emergency treatment would reach the patients within a few minutes. Once a patient is taken into the ambulance, he gets immediate treatment by trained staff of ambulance service. Patient will be taken to the nearest hospital for treatment as early as possible. The ambulance staff keep the hospital informed about the patient's condition through a wireless set, so that further treatment becomes possible without delay at the hospital.
