Lamina couldn't believe her ears. A raise? A promotion? A partner with a name so close to Darren's that if she didn't hear the manager right, it WOULD have been Darren? Lamina was overly overjoyed. She moved into her new office immediately and was introduced to Darin, her new partner.
Man, this Darin guy is SO much like Darren... thought Lamina, If I didn't know better, I could have sworn this was Darren himself... Darin & Lamina talked and found out that they both loved Savage Garden. Darin asked her out to a SG concert and Lamina accepted, gratefully. Well, what you said was true, Colby... thought Lamina. Thanks.
Lamina & Darin went to watch the show and had a fantastic time. Savage Garden seemed to be enjoying themselves. Somehow Darren couldn't take his eyes off a red-headed girl with a boyfriend who looked so much like himself. Somehow I think I've seen her before... thought Darren throughout the concert.
Backstage, Daniel couldn't help but wonder whatever happened to Darren. "Hey Darren," asked Daniel. "You looked all spacy! Whatever happened?" Darren just looked at Daniel, spacier than ever.
"I dunno..." replied Darren. "There's this red head girl who arrived to the concert together with her boyfriend who looked eeriely like me...and it seems that I've seen that girl before...someplace..." Just then, Darren saw a book on his chair. He picked it up and started to read it, with a strange feeling of deja vu. As he walked home, he read that part about parallel worlds. Suddenly he felt a sudden change in his life. As he reached the door, he was surprised at who he saw leaning against the door - it was none other than Kate Winslet, the person Darren had a crush on.
"Hello Darren honey...hope your concert was a good one...here, let me help you in..." At that moment there was only one thing Darren could think of.
"Uh oh..."
