The Theory Of Planestravel

The Theory Of Planestravel

"Magic is an alternate form of reality, the tangible force. Like salt-water on blood, it has an ability to affect or dissolve reality."

-Alianna

The planes of existence are born from the void, or nothingness. Thus all spells tap into the void in varying amounts, depending on the intensity of the spell. So far, all spells are basically a channeling of nothingness into the plane of existence in order to annihilate or dislocate some part to achieve a particular goal. Before Travel
The Spell Is Cast Because of this, planestravel may be made possible with any type of magic. Safe travel and safe usage of any magic is ensured by existence's inherent Surface Tension. If correctly cast, a spell or planeswalk must succeed, although the their exact effects may vary because of many less-tangible and as yet unknown factors.
The planes are only Different from one another because of the rivers of void running through reality. This separates one plane from another, making it look as if the other planes did not exist, or are far away in many aspects - when in fact, all the planes are of the same existence. Momentum From The Spell
Planestravel Complete However, Surface Tension and Tremors from the flow of the void in existence may put a plane in risk of being corroded or adversely affected. The worst that can happen is the disintegration of a particular section of existence as its surface tension breaks apart due to a strong Current from a large flow of void near or within it.
