I would guess that the language Belldandy is using is a magical one. Now
this_could_be Babel. There is evidence to say that at one time there was
only one language on the earth, and that it originated in the city of
Babel, It was a very powerful language , and contained magical force.
Tongues is said to be the descendant of this language.
I think that Urd has used it (the glyph like language used by Bellchan)
quite often.

I seem to recall someone saying that some of the (basically unreadable)
heavenly texts were the script for another language like Thai...
but I haven't tried to confirm this.

The one spell I I've tried to translate, was the rebulding-the-temple
from the anime, which was just Japanese with a few old words.

But it makes sense that "heaven" would have a native language. It
would be more consistent, for example, for Skuld to greet her big
sister in their native language, but I think this is a case of
artistic license winning out over prefect realism.
