Frozen
You only see what your eyes want to see. How can life be what you want it to be? You're frozen, when your heart's not open...
I feel you come up behind me. You've been following me, shadowing since that day I kissed you and told you I love you. You ran away from me, and then you proceeded to follow me for the last two weeks. I tolerated your behavior, but somehow, your presence tonight as I try to finish my homework bothers me.
" Are you just going to hover there, or did you want something?" I asking sounding more bitter than I felt.
"Hn."
I turn to look at him. He's sitting on my windowsill in his usual waiting position.
" Well?" I demand an answer.
" Do I always have to have a reason to come here?"
" You always come when you want something, so what is it?"
You're so consumed with how much you get. You waste your time with hate and regret. You're frozen… when your heart's not open…
" Yeah, well maybe I just wanted to see you…" he reply in such a fait voice I almost miss it.
He's standing over me now, looking into my eyes with an emotion I can not identify. Sadness? Regret? Loneliness? Love?
" I've been thinking about what you said and what happened..."
" And?" I ask hopefully.
" Hn. Stupid Fox."
I smile and then stand. I wrap my arms around his waist and pull him to me. My lips brush against his in a gentle caress.
Love is a bird, she needs to fly. Let all the hurt inside of you die…
He returns my kiss with a passion and wraps his small arms around my neck. I lift him and lay him on my bed. He wraps his hand in my hair and pulls me to him for another kiss.
If I could melt your heart
We explore each others bodies
We'd never be apart
We slowly melt to become one
Give yourself to me
We lay in each other's arms in the aftermath of our passions.
You hold… the key
I smile at my new lover. A small tear escapes his eye and falls softly onto the sheets in the form of a small onyx gem. He lifted it and pressed it into the palm of my hand and proceeded to fall asleep in my arms. I curled into him and followed his example. I woke the next morning to an empty bed. It must have all been a dream… a wonderful dream… I clinch my fists in sadness and anger only to find something digging into the palm of one hand. I opened my fist to find a small onyx gem. It wasn't a dream… I hold the gem to my lips as I cry.
" I love you, Hiei," I whisper to the air.
From a dark spot in a tree somewhere someone heard the endearment.
" Aishiteru… Kurama."
Give yourself to me… You hold… the key…
