Sailor Venus no kako, Minako no hiren
[Sailor Venus' Past, Minako's Heartbreak]
Scene 5:
Minako is in a hotel room with someone she calls "Katerina-oneesama". The "oneesama" means "big sister" and indicates that
Katerina is older, a close friend/relative, and very respected by Minako [the -sama is very polite. Usually people call
older sisters "Oneechan"]. Katarina talks about Minako being Sailor-V, so it is obvious that Katerina also knows Minako's
alternate identity.
Katarina: "Minako-chan --- No. Sailor-V. I was so surprised when I found out you were okay. Why didn't you tell us you
were alive?"
After pausing for a second, Katarina adds: "I heard you are still fighting as Sailor-V."
Minako says quietly, looking down, "Yes."
Katarina: "I want to help you. You're with the Sailorsenshi, aren't you? Can you introduce me to them?"
Minako ignores Katarina's question and says desperately: "Alan-san.... Is Alan okay?"
Katarina pauses, surprised, and then says: "He's fine. Alan really wanted to see you."
She pulls a picture out of her pocket and shows it to Minako. It's of Katarina with a handsome dark-haired man.
Minako looks wounded by seeing the picture, and she then looks up at Katarina and notices her necklace. Minako says
quietly: "Oneesama (Big Sister), you still have that pendant."
Katarina blinks, and then says: "Of course! After all, this was a birthday gift from you! Really. I want to help you.
Please let me meet with the Sailorsenshi."
Minako: "Oneesama, you're an Interpol** officer, and we have our own mission. I can't let you get involved. Oneesama.
I'm glad I could see you again. Thank you. Sayonara.*"
Minako hops up and runs out of the room.
Katarina chases after her: "Minako-chan! Wait!" * Sayonara means "The Long Goodbye" or "Goodbye for a Long time" or
"Goodbye forever." Minako says this to indicate that she probably won't see Katarina again.
Kunzite appears in the room in front of Katarina, blocking her way.
Katarina gasps: "Kunzite-sama!"
Kunzite grumbles, "It is useless to sound her out. Change into the youma Papillon* and attack her!"
Kunzite strikes Katarina with dark energy, and in a few moments we see a butterfly-youma explode out of the hotel window,
yelling "Papillon!"
Scene 6:
Minako has wandered to the waterfront, where she stands looking out at the water. She pulls out a picture, where she's
hugging onto the arm of the same man from Katarina's picture.
Minako whispers: "Alan..."
We hear a male voice whisper: "Minako...."
Crumbling, Minako hugs the picture to herself. This man is (or was) obviously important to her.
Minako cries, "Alan!"
Suddenly, a green butterfly floats past Minako. She looks surprised and wonders, "A Butterfly? At this time of year?"
Minako sees something huge flying towards her and gets out of the way, as a large claw weapon lands in the spot where
Minako was just standing, and it leaves a crater in the cement. Minako gasps, "Who?!"
Suddenly, a youma appears!! This youma is extremely ugly, with a butterfly thorax butt, wings for ears, and a large claw.
Papillon: "If you died once, why hesitate to die again?"
Minako: "A Youma? Okay." She pulls out her pen and holds it up. "VENUS POWER MAKE UP!!!"
Minako transforms, and after she becomes Sailorvenus, Papillon gasps: "What? Minako was Sailorvenus?!"
Venus attacks Papillon, "CRESCENT BEAM!!"
Papillon jumps out of the way and says: "It's useless. I know your fighting techniques. Take this!!" She sends out a huge
flock of butterflies towards Venus, and they surround her. "I'm familiar with all of your weaknesses!"
Venus cries out, trapped up in the air by the butterflies, and they are hurting her with their energy. She looks at the
youma and sees that Papillon has a necklace around her neck....!
Venus gasps: "You're Oneesama...! Why...?!"
Papillon: "Now tell me the names of the senshi."
Venus shakes her head, still horrified. "Katarina-oneesama..."
Artemis, Luna, and Usagi come into the scene.
Artemis shouts: "Sailorvenus!!"
Usagi looks at Venus and the monster and asks the cats: "What should we do? That youma looks strong!"
Luna looks around, and she notices a motorboat parked next to the dock.
Luna gestures to the boat and says, "Usagi-chan, let's escape on that."
Usagi looks baffled and complains to Luna, "HOW am I supposed to do THAT? I can't drive a motor boat!"
Luna points out: "Then why don't you be a sailor?"
Usagi has a realization, and pulls out her costume pen from her pocket. She says, "OH! I see! All right! Moon Power,
turn me into a sailor!"
Usagi transforms into a sailor, in a blue and white sailor suit.
Luna and Artemis attack the youma, pushing Papillon into the water. The youma's attack fades and Minako drops to the
ground. Usagi catches her before she hits the cement.
Luna says: "Let's get out of here!"
Usagi nods, "Un."
