Sailor Moon episode 34

"You wanna enter a ski bunny contest?"

Serena said that they could make a ski weekend out of it. Raye grabbed the ad from Serena, and read that the winner would get two weeks free at the resort. Lita said that Luna and Artemis wouldn't be very happy about it, and Mina agreed, saying that they had to fight the Negaverse. She added,

"We'll never get a room at the last minute."

Serena replied,

"Can't we see what happens when we get there? People always cancel!"

Chad came up to them, and said that they could stay at the house he had up at the resort.

"You have a place up there?" Raye asked.

Chad said that it was his parent's, but he went up all the time. Serena hoped that he would go with them, and he said that he always went up at that time of year.

The ad was even seen by Malachite. Of course, he was the one who had come up with it. He said that it was a great idea, and Prince Darien disagreed.

"They're not stupid, Malachite." Prince Darien said. He told Malachite that it would be wise to not underestimate Sailor Moon.

"Zoicite didn't, and look where it got her. Sailor Moon may seem like a clumsy crybaby, but when push comes to shove, she can be tougher than any she-lion."

Malachite knew that the plan would work. Darien said that the only way to get the Imperium Silver Crystal was to lure Sailor Moon to the Negaverse.

"And you're such an expert, Darien?" Malachite said smartly, "You know, the only reason I tolerate you is because of Queen Beryl's orders, so I suggest you keep your mouth shut! I know what I am doing!"

He picked up a picture of him and Zoicite, and said to himself that he would do it for her. Prince Darien left.

The girls and Chad arrived at the ski resort. Serena admired the mountains, and Lita asked Mina if Luna Artemis were okay about it, and Mina said that they were glad, because it would give them time to work on their plans. Meanwhile, at home, Luna and Artemis fell asleep in Serena's bedroom.

The girls were at Chad's, and Chad was starting a fire in the fireplace. It was a huge house, and was elaborately decorated. Raye asked Chad why he worked at the temple, if he had a house like the one they were in, and Chad said,

"What, are you going to kick me out now, Raye?"

"Not as long as you don't sing!" Raye said.

Lita wanted to hit the slopes, and the girls agreed. They went to the hill.

The girls were skiing without Raye, who had gone elsewhere, and Lita and Mina were still swooning over their ski instructor. They looked over, and saw Raye and Chad speeding down the hill. Raye said that they should go up, and Lita, Mina, and Amy refused. Serena said,

"Where's the bunny hill?"

Chad came up to her. He said that if Serena wanted to be in the contest, which was called the Miss Moon Princess Competition, then she had to be able to do the toughest run: The Double Black Diamond.

Serena wasn't too enthusiastic. Raye said Serena shouldn't force herself, and said that it would be nice to have all the girls rooting for her.

People were filing on the mountain at the starting line. Malachite was talking to a beautiful woman, and asked if everything was ready. It was. Malachite said,

"Once you trap Sailor Moon, she'll have to reveal herself. I'm not leaving without that crystal." She understood.

Serena was riding in the chair lift with Raye and Chad, and noticed that it was very high up. Chad said that she had to ski down the other side, where it was much steeper. Serena was afraid.

At the top, Serena looked around her, and saw that all the contestants looked professional. Announcements were made by a man on a stage, and introduced the last year's winner, Stormy Kincay. Stormy was the woman talking to Malachite, and she said that she wished all the contestants good luck. She told them that they had to finish the course to qualify, and speed was also important. Lights flashed on, and the skiers went down the hill. Raye was immediately in the lead. Serena, was not. She was at the starting line, and was afraid. She began to cry, and Chad came up to her, and said not to cry. He pushed Serena down the hill, and as she sped away, Chad told her to use her snowplow. Stormy, in the meantime, was getting ready, and sped down the hill.

Raye was still in the lead, and in the meantime, Stormy was in the back. She decided to narrow down the field of competition, and used her magic, given to her by the Negaverse, to create moguls in the hill. Raye came across them first, but used her skill to successfully negotiate the moguls. A lot of the skiers fell. Raye kept going, and then Serena sped by. She was out of control, and couldn't slow down. Stormy was close behind the two girls, and said that one of them had to have the Imperium Silver Crystal. She suspected Raye to have it.

Serena needed help, and Raye told her to use her snowplow. Stormy created a snowball, and it was rolling down the hill, right behind Raye. The girls continued, and Chad saw that Raye being chased by the huge sphere of snow. Raye and Serena flew down the hill, and Stormy stopped. She hovered in the air, and transformed. Her body was now that of a monster's, and her name now was Blizzard. Blizzard created walls of ice from the mountain, making a small valley. Serena and Raye skied in, and the snowball went with them. Chad was skiing along the ridge of the "valley", and told Raye not to look back. He jumped in front of the snowball to stop it. He was flattened, and Raye said,

"Sounded like someone was yelling at me."

Blizzard, in the meantime, was closing the ridges of the small valley, and Serena was about to hit a wall. Raye came to her, and tackled her just in time. The snowball was crushed in the rocks, and the girls were trapped.

Raye was trying to get out. Serena said that they wouldn't get out, and Raye wouldn't listen. She climbed up, and some of the snow on the hill she was climbing came loose, and she fell.

"Told you so!" Serena said.

Raye said that she didn't want to turn into a popsicle, and tried again. Again, she fell. Serena said that if they waited, someone would come for them. Raye said that it would be someone from the Negaverse, after the crystal. Raye tried again, and Serena sank to the ground, and played the locket. Raye came over to her.

"Hey, I thought you were gone!" Serena said.

"It's not worth breaking my neck over." Raye replied. Serena played the locket, and then she realized that she was being inconsiderate to Raye's feelings. She apologized, and Raye said that it was nice to think of Darien. Serena said that Darien was Raye's boyfriend, and Raye said that it was just a crush. She said,

"Now you and Darien. That's solid."

"Not any more." Serena said sadly.

Raye said it was because of the Negaverse. She promised Serena that they would get Darien back. Raye wished that they could just go right into Beryl's lair, blasting. Serena had an idea. They could transform to get out. Raye got angry at Serena, because she had said,

"Why didn't you think of this sooner..."

They were about to transform, when Chad arrived, after digging in the snow. They were about to leave, when Stormy called out to stop them. Raye said,

"You came for us!"

Stormy said that she didn't, and descended. She transformed into Blizzard. Blizzard told them to give her the Imperium Silver Crystal, and was pointing at Raye.

"Are you talkin' to me?!" Raye said. Blizzard said that she knew Raye was the Princess.

"Well," Raye said, "I am kind of a Princess at heart!"

Blizzard blew an ice chill at them, and Chad got in the way to block it. He was frozen solid. The girls transformed.

"MOON PRISM POWER!!"

"MARS POWER!!!"

Blizzard was taken aback. Blizzard created an icicle, and threw it, missing by mere millimeters. Mars countered the attack.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!!"

Blizzard was about to impale them with a spear, but Tuxedo Mask appeared, and grabbed it out of Blizzard's hand. The Sailor Scouts were relieved that he was there. He looked at the Sailor Scouts, and he said,

"Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, it's nice to see you again."

Tuxedo Mask said that he was after the Crystal, and threw a black rose. It missed, but Tuxedo Mask had plenty more. He was about to attack again, when Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars told him not to. Sailor Mars reminded Tuxedo Mask about the times when he saved Sailor Moon, and that she was the Moon Princess he had been searching for. The rose the Tuxedo Mask held turned red...

Blizzard leapt from above, and was about to get the Sailor Scouts, but Tuxedo Mask threw his rose, and Blizzard hit the ground. The rose planted itself in the side of the small valley, and something surprising changed about the rose. It was red. And it stayed that way. Sailor Moon used Blizzard's moment of distraction.

"MOON HEALING ACTIVATION!!!"

Stormy was returned. Tuxedo Mask said,

"I saved you this time. But that doesn't mean that it'll happen again. We're enemies now." He left. Sailor Mars was kneeling over Chad, trying to get him to wake up. Sailor Moon asked if he was all right, and Sailor Mars said that he was going to be fine. She kissed him, and Stormy woke up. She looked around, saying,

"Hey, what gives? How'd I get here? What happened?"

Later that night, Serena, Raye, and Chad were waiting by a fire. Chad came to, and asked if they were all right. Raye said they were, and that they had trouble with a ski bunny, but he scared her away. Chad didn't remember, and Serena said,

"Trust me, Chad, you were wicked, just like all those karate movies!" Chad was blushing. Serena and Raye said that Grandpa would be proud. Then, the other girls came up to them.

"I thought you guys were supposed to be hurt!" Lita said angrily.

"Don't mind her." Mina said, "she just found out that our ski instructor's married."

"Yes, well, I didn't see you taking so calmly either, Mina." Amy said.

Raye suggested that they go get dinner, then go for some night skiing. Serena suggested staying in, and Raye said that they'd go to the bunny slopes just for her. Serena cried. Skiing was not her idea of fun.
