Zirconia was getting impatient, waiting for the Amazon Quartet to arrive. They were playing hide-and-seek. Finally, Zirconia yelled and shook the giant tent, and ParaPara fell out of her hiding place. VesuVesu caught her with a net, and CeleCele spotted her too. Zirconia asked where JunJun was, and they told him that she outside somewhere. They asked if he had a new target, which he did. He passed them a photograph. Zircon hid from Zirconia's sight, as it had been sort of his fault that the girls hadn't found the Golden Dream Mirror. Finally, the girls didn't like the target, and decided to leave it for JunJun. They all leapt back into the darkness of the tent to resume their game. The picture was of Rini's guy friend, Kelly.

That day, at Rini's school, everyone was busy preparing for a great athletic event. Rini was leaving. Kelly was on the top of a huge sign, and saw her going. He yelled after her, but she didn't respond. Rini sighed.

"Rini hi! On your way home?" Mina asked. Rini looked up, and Mina, Lita and Darien with Serena hanging off of him came up to her.

"The big sports meet is tomorrow." Lita said. "I'm so looking forward to it! It should be great!"

Serena agreed wholeheartedly.

"I always cheer for the boy I like. Especially in the last race." Mina said, blushing. "I love the sports meets!"

The girls giggled. Rini muttered that she didn't like sports meets. Just then, Kelly took a rope, and the girls watched as he leapt off the sign, with a rope tightly gripped in his hand. He swung underneath the sign, and let go, completing a double somersault before landing perfectly. Dangerous. Do not try. The girls clapped for Kelly, but gasped when a teacher hit him over the head, and told him to come to the principal's office.

"Well, that was stupid." Rini said, scowling at Kelly.

"Well, you didn't answer me." Kelly replied. "I had to do something."

Rini and Serena suddenly looked at him with wide eyes.

"Why are you going home?" Kelly asked.

"Is there something that's bugging you, Rini?" Asked Mina.

"Don't you like sports meets?" Asked Lita.

"Yes, I do like them." Rini said, with a sour face. "But there's a vaulting horse in the obstacle race. I don't like that!"

The girls were kind of surprised that Rini didn't like the vaulting horse.

"Well, not really." Rini said.

Serena decided to take advantage of Rini's weakness. "What? What do you mean 'not really'?" She teased. "You don't know how to jump a vaulting horse?"

The girls all jumped back, in case Rini wrought her wrath upon Serena.

"What about you, Serena?" Mina asked. "Can you do it?"

"Why does that matter?" Serena asked, suddenly annoyed.

"Because, Serena." Replied Lita. "Can you jump over a vaulting horse?"

"Of course I can jump over a stupid vaulting horse!" Serena screamed. Kelly looked at Rini.

"What?" He said. "Is there really a vaulting horse in the race?"

"Yeah, there is." Rini replied, turning towards Kelly. "But I'm sure that's no problem for you, you're such a hot athlete."

Kelly laughed, agreeing with Rini's sarcasm. He just asked that he wouldn't have to teach her any sports, which he could of course do perfectly without any practice. Rini told him not to worry. She wouldn't ask him for anything in terms of teaching.

Darien reflected on the past for a moment. "I remember school sports quite well." He said. "I used to be good."

Rini quickly turned to Darien and started swooning. Serena stopped her from doing anything else, and Rini asked Darien to help her learn to jump the vaulting horse. Serena refused her for Darien, and the two started arguing. Serena wanted Darien to go shopping, but Lita said they didn't have money. Mina said they should go practice. They dragged the protesting Serena along with them. Kelly just stood in silence at the amazing scene before him.

Kelly was setting up the vaulting horse. JunJun had found her target, and was watching him silently atop the school. Kelly looked at the vaulting horse, and remembered his childhood. He was a smaller boy then, and charged at the vaulting horse, no matter that it was gigantic. Suddenly, he slipped, and crashed into it. Since then, he hadn't been able to jump another, and was teased in school. Finally, Kelly charged at the vaulting horse, but stopped. He leaned on the horse, and cried. JunJun muttered to herself, and Kelly wheeled around to see who was there. He saw JunJun, as she ran down one of the event banners, leapt onto the soccer field, then flipped off the soccer nets, and to the top of the jungle gym. Kelly was amazed. JunJun offered to teach him how to jump the vaulting horse, and he excitedly accepted.

Meanwhile, the girls were trying to teach Rini how to jump over the vaulting horse. The vaulting horse was Serena, who was not to happy about that arrangement. Rini ran towards Serena. Mina told Rini to imagine she was about to jump into her boyfriend's arms. Serena of course, reacted, and Rini ended up crashing into them. Meanwhile, Kelly crashed into the vaulting horse.

JunJun was losing her patience. It was evening, and she was still trying to get Kelly to jump over the vaulting horse. She gave him some pointers, and Kelly tried again and again. Each time, he failed. Finally, JunJun noticed it was getting dark, and called off the lesson until the next morning. Though Kelly protested at first, he was glad to have another chance to practice.

That night, Rini set a picture of Darien on her pillow, and jumped into it. She snuggled it for a bit, but still didn't know if she'd be able to jump the horse the next day. Pegasus appeared, and Rini turned dark red. He asked what she was doing. Nervously, she shoved the picture under her blankets, and said she was practicing jumping the vaulting horse. She told him she envied him, being able to fly freely anywhere.

"Yes, I can fly freely." He said. "But not anywhere." Rini stopped and looked at him. "Rini, it's true." He said. "You have far more freedom than I have. You can fly wherever you want."

"What?" Rini said, confused. "I can't even jump over the vaulting horse."

"Rini, you can do it." Pegasus said. "I know you can."

"Rini! Are you still up?" Serena called from the bottom of the stairs. She told Rini to go to sleep. Rini agreed, and smiled at Pegasus.

The next morning, bright and early, Kelly was still attempting to jump over the horse. He tried over and over, and failed each time. Finally, he cried out in frustration at his efforts. He looked up, and saw JunJun. He was elated to see her. JunJun pulled out a crumpled piece of paper, and uncrumpled it. She looked at it, then at Kelly. Delighted that Kelly was her target, she decided they should get started on training. Kelly agreed.

"You have great athletic abilities." JunJun said. "Your problem is that you're afraid of the vaulting horse."

"I'm not afraid of it!" Kelly lied proudly.

"Yes you are." JunJun said. "But I don't understand why. It's not alive. Just dump your fear, or you'll never be able to get over it."

Kelly was hesitant. JunJun told him that she had an idea of how he could conquer that fear. He was also hesitant about this method, but JunJun implemented it. She snapped her fingers, and a three-sided cage appeared around Kelly and JunJun. At the open end was the only way out - the vaulting horse. JunJun moved herself through the bars, and outside the cage. In her place, a huge bear stood, growling and snarling. Kelly shrieked in terror, and tore down the way towards the vaulting horse. He timed his jump, set his hands, and vaulted perfectly over the horse. He stopped for a moment. He had done it! But wait, what about the bear? He turned around, and saw that the cage, and the bear were gone.

"The bear!" He said. "Where's the bear?"

JunJun chuckled. "It was just an illusion. Obviously, a successful one."

Kelly was surprised that it was an illusion. JunJun laughed, and finally revealed her true form. She shot her dark blue billiard ball, and it shot right by Kelly's head. After banking off some choice objects, it struck Kelly in the back. His Dream Mirror appeared, but it wasn't the one she was looking for.

"MOON COSMIC DREAM ACTION!"

"MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!"

"MARS CRYSTAL POWER!"

"JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER!"

"VENUS CRYSTAL POWER!"

"Stop!" A voice shouted. JunJun looked and saw the Sailor Scouts. "We will not let any evil happen in the early morning hours!" Sailor Moon shouted. "We are the Sailor Scouts!"

"And we fight for Love and Justice!" Mini Moon said.

"I'm Sailor Moon!"

"I'm Sailor Mini Moon!"

"And in the name of the Moon, we shall punish you!"

JunJun sent her Remlis, named Jumper after the Sailor Scouts. It had a clown's head, but was in the shape of a flying squirrel. It spun its tail to hover and fly like a helicopter. It flew over Kelly's Dream Mirror, and swallowed it. Mars stepped forward.

"MARS FIRE --"

Mars was interrupted, as the monster flew by Mars, causing the flames of her power to backfire on her. She was burned quite nicely. The monster continued to dive at the Sailor Scouts, moving too fast for them to attack. JunJun looked at Kelly for a moment, and left things in the Remlis' hands. The Remlis continued to dive at the Sailor Scouts, moving about quickly. Finally, Sailor Mini Moon decided to try something. When the monster came about and charged at Sailor Moon, Sailor Mini Moon suddenly leapt between them, and started running at the Remlis. With perfect timing, she leapt into the air, and vaulted off of the monster. The monster crashed into the ground. While it was recovering, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini Moon stepped up.

"Please, Pegasus! Please protect people's dreams!"

"CRYSTAL TWINKLE BELL!"

"MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!"

The Remlis was destroyed, and Kelly's Dream Mirror was freed. Mercury held him up as his Dream Mirror returned to him. Sailor Moon congratulated Mini Moon.

That day, the meet was held, and had a great turnout. Rini and Melanie won various events, and got ribbons for them. Finally, it was Kelly's turn to shine. He was sent out on the obstacle course, and with his newfound confidence, gained the lead rather quickly. On the final leg of his run, the vaulting horse stood tall, but Kelly stood taller. He charged the vaulting horse, and leapt over it. As he did, he leapt over his fears.
