One night, the Amazon Quartet was busy playing with the other circus people in the Dark Moon Circus tent. They were making fun of Zirconia, and laughing. With a loud yell, Zirconia dispersed the crowd, leaving only the Quartet. Zirconia angrily handed them a pamphlet, to get them started on their next mission. Knowing that it involved dreams and youth, they decided to go. Zirconia sent them on their way.

The next day, the girls were talking together on the street. Mina told the girls about an event where one could search for the job best for them. Serena said that the perfect job for her involved food, fun, and no work.

"Yeah, right!" Raye said. "There's no such thing on this planet!"

"We're talking about the real world now, Serena." Lita said. Rini crossed her arms.

"Even I know that!" Rini said. "You'd think she'd be a bit wiser at her age, wouldn't you?"

Mina calmed the girls down, and said that they should choose a job that would be fun, and challenging. Serena, only hearing the fun part, wanted to go eagerly. That is until Raye reminded her about the fact that it would be challenging.

"She didn't mention anything about wages though, so I would guess that we can expect the absolute worst." Amy said. Serena was even more disheartened.

"Come on guys, you analyze things way too much!" Mina said. "Now, there's a saying that says 'things are harder than you make them seem'."

Serena was lost. Raye said, "First you say it's fun, now you say it's really hard?"

"I guess she meant to say 'things are easier than they seem'." Amy said.

With that settled, Mina pushed everyone along. Upon arriving, they learned that the work they were doing was setting up for the upcoming "Coming of Age Festival". They would be setting up. The down part was, it was volunteer work. The girls were put off by the prospect. They were interrupted by three men who interrupted them. The girls were taken with them, and the guys said they'd be glad to have such beautiful girls working with them. The girls naturally volunteered, and of course it was for the good of the festival. The men went on their way. Just then, a girl ran up beside them.

"This is the place, alright!" The girl said, turning around. "For the coming of age ceremony!"

The girl was addressing three others. What Serena and her friends didn't know was that it was the Amazon Quartet in disguise. ParaPara was standing next to the girls.

"Good." Said CeleCele. "It's about time we found it."

"Come on!" ParaPara exclaimed. "Let's go in now!"

Serena and company had no idea who the girls were.

"It's possible they're volunteers too." Mina said. Serena with a smile, said,

"It looks like they've just got more than enough helpers now. Well, see you around!"

Without flinching, the others dragged Serena into the building. The disguised Quartet watched them go, wondering who they were. The four decided to see what was going on. Inside, ParaPara was singing while painting, and annoying VesuVesu.

"Why do we have to do all this work?" CeleCele asked JunJun.

"When the show starts, there'll be hundreds of victims in the audience." JunJun replied.

"That's it!" A voice shouted out. The Quartet looked to see Rini trying to direct Serena as to where to put a banner at the top of the stage. Serena was being held secure by Raye and Lita. Serena couldn't reach, however. The banner had to go all the way across the top of the stage, which meant scaling the narrow beam.

"Why don't you just think of it as a beam in gymnastics." Raye suggested.

"Why don't you just think of it as a beam in gymnastics?" Serena retorted. "I prefer mat tumbling."

Just then, Serena made the most deadly mistake - she looked down. Dizzy and afraid, she gave up. Raye wanted to try it, and Lita reminded her of the dangers. Not talked out of it, Raye got the banner from Serena, and stood at the start of the beam. Looking down as she wasn't supposed to, the beam seemed to wobble when it wasn't, and Raye finally gave up with a sheepish smile. Suddenly, the disguised JunJun ran past Raye, and easily ran to the center of the beam.

"What should I do next?" JunJun asked. The girls responded with confused stares. "What should I do next?" JunJun asked again, more harshly. The three told JunJun that the banner had to be draped in a certain fashion across the entirety of the beam. JunJun told the girls to bring it to her, but Lita Raye and Serena couldn't. Suddenly, the disguised VesuVesu grabbed the banner, ran onto the beam, and leapt dangerously high into the air. Doing a single flip and landing in front of JunJun, she handed the banner to her teammate. Rini clapped, amazed.

"Hey you guys, what are you doing?" CeleCele said up to the duo on the beam. "I'm sick of doing my job. Do you need any help up there?"

JunJun and VesuVesu welcomed CeleCele's help, and in a single bound, CeleCele leapt from the stage onto the beam. The girls clapped, amazed. The three girls of the Quartet began to work on putting the banners along the upper beams of the stage. While that was happening, Mina was filling up balloons with helium, and saw Artemis, Luna and Diana.

"Hi Mina." Artemis said.

"Hey, guys, how ya doing?." Replied Mina.

"Thought we'd see how it's going." Artemis replied. Luna said it looked like the girls were working hard.

"Looks like you're working too hard to me!" Diana said. "You all must be quite exhausted!"

Mina smiled. "Yeah, we're working pretty hard, but you know what they say: Many hands take night work!"

The cats laughed. "That's 'many hands make light work'." Artemis said. Diana offered her help, and Mina refused it, saying that they were working with regular people and they would be suspicious of a talking cat. Up at the rafters, JunJun was dangling by VesuVesu's arm securely. Luna observed pensively.

"Regular people, huh?" She said.

The three disguised Quartet girls finished thier job.

"Life in the circus can sure prove to be handy." JunJun said with a wink.

"Circus?" Luna said. Artemis looked at her.

"It's suspect." He said. "It's either that, or they were raised by apes." Luna agreed.

Amy came in with a large box, and the girls told her that the banners were finished.

"It looks great!" Amy said. ParaPara, who had been the only Quartet member not helping with the banners looked at them quietly.

"But, it's not symmetrical." She said. CeleCele, JunJun and VesuVesu were initially angry at ParaPara for skipping out on the work, but a second look showed them that their job was not perfect. Amy took out her computer, and programmmed some calculations into it. Her computer determined that a part of the banner needed to be moved a little bit, and VesuVesu vaulted off a teammate up to the beam. With Amy's direction, VesuVesu straightened out the banner. ParaPara approved of it.

"You have a good eye." Amy said. "Thanks a lot for pointing that out."

The girls admired their work. Later, as the central sign of the event was hanging, the cable suddenly came loose. JunJun and Rini tried hard to keep it from falling, but they weren't strong enough. Lita came and turned the crank on the cable's spool. Slowly but surely, she turned it and the sign was hoisted up to its original position. She locked the crank, and JunJun expressed her amazement at Lita's strength.

"My friends used to call me Hercules as a kid." Lita said, chuckling.

Meanwhile, Raye and CeleCele were working on making flower displays. Raye's was neatly done while CeleCele's was not. Mina and Serena were filling up balloons, and ParaPara wanted one. With a friendly smile, Mina tied one off and handed it to ParaPara. Elated, the girl ran to her other Quartet friends to show them her gift. They looked at the stage from the theater seats in thought.

"They seem really nice, don't they?" JunJun said.

"For humans, anyway." CeleCele agreed.

"I had a good time." VesuVesu said. The work progressed wonderfully, and the ten girls togethre put the scenery up. It went off without a hitch, and the girls were excited and pleased at their work. They agreed that things would look fantastic, and finally ParaPara asked a question.

"What do you mean by 'coming of age'?" She asked.

"You're too young." Serena said with a smile.

"You mean you volunteered for it and you don't know?" Raye asked. The Quartet said that they didn't know.

"It's the celebration of one's twentieth birthday." Amy said.

"When you're finally recognized as an adult!" Mina added.

"Adult?" JunJun said with disgust. The other three were not happy with the idea of aging. This reaction made Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina look at the Amazon Quartet with confusion and some shock.

The night of the ceremony had arrived, and Serena, Rini and Amy were backstage, looking at the turnout. The festival hadn't started yet.

"I envy them." Serena said whimsically. "I wish I were 20 years old."

"How can you say that?" ParaPara's voice echoed from behind them. "I don't want to ever grow up!"

Serena, Amy and Rini turned to see the disguised Quartet.

"Never forget your childhood." CeleCele said.

"Our your childhood dreams." Added JunJun.

VesuVesu said, "When you were your happiest."

"You came back." Amy said. Serena didn't think they'd show up at all. The girls replied saying that they'd been looking forward to the ceremony.

"But you guys said you didn't like the thought of growing up." Rini said. The girls replied saying that they were interested in the dreams of adults. Lita appeared at the back of the stage, calling everyone off to help downstairs.

The huge curtain on the stage rose, and the ceremony began. Backstage, Raye told Mina and Serena, the stage operators, what would happen next, and ran off to her duty. CeleCele came to Serena and Mina, and posed a question.

"Why do you guys want to grow up anyway?"

"Why do we?" Serena asked.

"Tell us, Serena." Mina said.

Serena got herself ready. "Well," she said, "I really want to get married to Darien, and I wanna learn how to cook, so I can keep him satisfied with homemade soups!"

"Too domestic for me." Mina said, picturing Serena dropping soup all over Darien. "I'd like to grow up so I can be a big time star! People would yell my name, and I would shine in the spotlight!"

"I'm in the spotlight everday, and it's no big deal." CeleCele said indifferently. She also said she didn't like soup.

"That's because you're just a kid." Serena said. "Tastes change."

"But why should I change when I like things just the way they are?" CeleCele asked. Serena and Mina felt flustered.

Meanwhile, the performance on stage ended, and Amy handed the performers some towels. Lita wiped her forhead, and JunJun handed her one as well. JunJun posed a question.

"Do you really wanna grow up?"

After exchanging confused glances with Lita, Amy said "Of course I want to. So I can become a really good doctor and then help people in need and save lives."

"Oh." JunJun said. She looked at Lita. "You too?"

"Well, my reason is different." Lita said, blushing. "I dream of owning a little teashop and baking all kinds of cakes and pastries."

JunJun looked at Lita in wonder, as if it was the strangest thing in the world to her. The irony of course, being that the idea was completely alien to the young gymnast. She asked if their goal was to help and please others. The girls agreed in that, saying that it feels good to help other people, and it's even better if one does what they like to do. JunJun wondered why they would consider helping others a good thing, and disagreed.

"You should just do things for yourself!" JunJun said. She ran off giggling, leaving Lita and Amy confused.

Meanwhile, CeleCele and VesuVesu were laughing at Raye's ideas of being a responsible adult. It was angering Raye, and Rini tried to stop it. The two Quartet girls explained that kids shouldn't grow up because they forget their dreams, and that they have it easy to get out of trouble. Suddenly, the four girls heard screaming in the auditorium. Inside, JunJun and ParaPara had launched their newest monster, a large electric catfish monster. While the people were terrified, ParaPara released small soldiers, with a cannon. The cannon shot small blue balls around the room, and within seconds, all the people's Dream Mirrors were exposed. None of them was the one they were searching for. Feeling supported in their view that adult dreams were boring and empty, they sent the catfish monster to eat the Dream Mirrors. As it did, the four watched in glee.

"Stop it!" Shouted a voice. At the side of the stage stood the five Sailor Scouts. Unimpressed, the Quartet sent their monster at the Sailor Scouts. Before it could attack, the catfish face on its stomach belched, causing a short circuit. The Quartet started to argue, and the Sailor Scouts took the opportunity to attack.

"MARS FLAME SHOOTER!"

Sailor Mars' attack sailed by VesuVesu, narrowly missing its mark. Sailor Mercury was chasing ParaPara, who took refuge in the aisle behind her toy cannon.

"MERCURY AQUA RHAPSODY!"

Mercury's water attack got rid of the cannon. On the stage, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini Moon were running from CeleCele, who was atop a giant ball.

"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!"

Jupiter's attack was directed at JunJun, who thought she was safe. CeleCele's pursuit continued.

"VENUS LOVE AND BEAUTY SHOCK!"

Sailor Venus' shot smashed CeleCele's ball. Sailor Moon sent out her heartfelt thanks. ParaPara ran and hid behind a seat, but the two Sailor Scouts saw her. When they thought they had ParaPara, the other three girls surrounded them. The other Sailor Scouts couldn't do anything on the threat that the two trapped Sailors would be no more. Suddenly, from nowhere, four roses flew by, and knocked the Amazon Quartet off their guard. At one of the exits of the auditorium, Tuxedo Mask stood.

"It's a pity you can't believe in a hopeful future!" He said aloud. "You should stop this senseless fighting and look forward to a peaceful future!"

The Amazon Quartet, once again unimpressed, wondered what Tuxedo Mask was saying.

"Please Pegasus! Protector of People's Dreams!"

"CRYSTAL TWINKLE BELL!"

Pegasus' power was invoked, and Sailor Moon stepped forward.

"MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!"

As per, the catfish monster was destroyed, and never seen again. The Dream Mirrors it ate were freed, and the Amazon Quartet retreated.

Later that night, the crowd cheered as the ceremony continued. Backstage, Serena and her friends wondered where the circus girls went, and hoped to meet them again. On the Dark Moon, Nehelenia stood in front of her mirror fuming. Before her, the still lifeless body of Helios hung quietly entrapped by thin winding threads.
