It was a bright, sunny day, and Serena was stretching lazily.

"Must I study at Raye's again today, Luna?" She asked. "It's such a total snorefest!"

"Oh, you're such a lazy loaf!" Luna replied. "You'd better quit lazing around like day old pudding. You know what will happen: Raye will put you down and the others will lecture you."

Serena knew that would happen. She though it a shame that she had to study inside on such a beautiful day. She wished Darien was with her. Just then, a motorcycle pulled up at a curb a few yards away from the park bench Serena was sitting on. She ran to the motorcycle and saw Darien on his bike with someone else. The person took off her helmet, and it was Elizabeth, Andrew's sister.

"Hey, Serena." She said. "What's up, dawg?"

"What are you doing with Darien?" Serena asked. Elizabeth, "Lizzy" told Serena that her brother Paul had forgotten his plane ticket, so she was going to take it to him. Darien saw Lizzy going after her brother, and offered her a ride to the airport. Serena let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Oh, what a relief, you had me worried there for a second!" Serena said. Darien and Lizzy looked at Serena confused. Serena laughed it off, and told Darien how great he looked in his jacket. Lizzy looked on quietly as they talked.

"What do you mean have I kissed Darien!?" Serena shouted. Lizzy had taken her to the restaurant where she worked. Lizzy urged Serena to quiet down.

"So, what's your answer?" Lizzy whispered to Serena. "Have you and Darien kissed yet, or not?"

Serena blushed and stammered, but offered no answer in her incoherent vocal noises.

"Judging by your embarrassed reaction, it looks like you haven't." Lizzy said, sitting down. "You haven't kissed yet, have you?"

Serena stammered more, still offering no answer.

"You're still in Junior High." Lizzy said. Serena stopped suddenly and looked at her. Lizzy went on to say that Serena shouldn't have kissed him yet. Serena asked Lizzy if she had kissed anyone. Lizzy gasped and whispered,

"Please promise not to tell anyone, okay?" Serena nodded and moved closer. "Actually, there's this cute guy that I'm totally nuts over. But I'm afraid I haven't kissed him yet."

"What?!" Exclaimed Serena. "Why not? If you like him so much, Elizabeth, why haven't you kissed him yet?"

"Well, because," Lizzy replied, "I've always believed a first kiss should be treasured. You can't just kiss anybody. It wouldn't mean anything at all. A kiss should be a deep, honest display of affection. And a first kiss can't just be with any guy."

Just then, someone at the table next to them put their teacup down on the table a bit harshly. The noise made Serena and Lizzy look up.

"Hey! Amara!" Serena said. Sure enough, there was Amara with Michele.

"It seems so long ago, my first kiss." Amara said.

"Not for me, Amara." Michele said. "It feels like... like it was yesterday. It was so magical. I remember it vividly. It was with Brad, the cutest guy in school."

Serena and Lizzy looked on with wonder.

"There are many types of kisses, actually." Amara added. "A kiss on the hand means respect. A kiss on the cheek means friendship. A kiss on both cheeks is the French way."

"Yeah." Serena said dreamily. "I bet there are many kissing customs."

"Like in 15th Century Italy." Michele said. "There was a strict law about kissing: It decreed that if a young couple kissed each other, they must get married."

"That's way strict for me." Lizzy said, as she and Serena listened intently to Amara and Michele.

"My sweet Brad." Michele said quietly. "I wonder where he is today."

Amara chuckled and looked at her watch. Both stood up and left. Serena and Lizzy sighed.

"She obviously treasures her first kiss, so I think you're right." Serena said. As she watched them leave, Lizzy invited Serena over. She had Serena sold when she mentioned that she could make cupcakes. Lizzy went back to work while Serena cheered about getting cupcakes. When she noticed the entire restaurant staring at her, she said,

"Does anybody have a paper bag for my head?"

After the study session, Amara and Michele walked home together. They had just exited the apartment building where Lizzy lived.

"They're so young and innocent." Amara said.

"I know." Michele replied. "It's nice that they're like that. But, it's funny how fast they move from kissing stuffed animals to boys."

"That's what troubles me." Amara said. "That kind of girl is in danger. She's exactly what those evil Heart Snatchers are after."

"You're right." Michele said in realization. "She possesses a pure heart. We should watch over her."

Michele and Amara looked back up at the apartment building they had exited. Meanwhile, Dr. Tomo was in his lab.

"Kaorinite." he said. Kaori stepped forward. "So far, your mission has failed." He said. "But I think you can redeem yourself. I've found a new target."

"Yes Dr." Kaori replied as the Daimon pod Dr. Tomo held flew out of the lab. "It's a pure-hearted girl who dreams of making her first kiss special."

"First kiss?" Dr. Tomo said. "How about kissing your pure heart goodbye?"

He and Kaorinite laughed into the night.

Meanwhile, Lizzy had just finished vacuuming her carpet. She looked over at a picture of Michael.

"Hello, Michael." She said to the picture. "Will you kiss me? I hope you'll make my dreams come true."

Even she realized how silly the concept of her talking to a picture sounded. But she couldn't resist kissing the picture. As she stared at it, she didn't notice the Daimon pod fly into her apartment and absorb itself into her vacuum cleaner, which resembled an elephant. Within seconds, a Heart Snatcher emerged from the vacuum, and attacked Lizzy. Its black star shot a beam which extracted Lizzy's Heart Crystal. The Heart Snatcher leaped out the window and onto a nearby roof.

"Your Pure Heart's in my bag!" The Heart Snatcher laughed.

"Oh no it's not, Hose Head!" A voice shouted. The Heart Snatcher looked to the roof of the apartment building and saw two forms.

"I am the one who will stop you! Sailor Uranus, the Heart Specialist!"

"And I'm Sailor Neptune, of course!"

The Heart Snatcher held onto the Pure Heart Crystal and fired an intense air blast at the Sailors. After dodging it, Sailor Uranus attacked.

"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"

Uranus' energy ball sped forward and knocked the Heart Crystal out of the Heart Snatcher's hand. Uranus lept for it, but the Heart Snatcher shot a gust of air at it. The Heart Crystal sailed through the air while Uranus was left to dodge the attack. As the Heart Snatcher chased the Crystal, Neptune chased the Heart Snatcher. The Heart Crystal landed in a passing truck, and all three landed on the street, not knowing where it had gone.

"Where is it?!" The Heart Snatcher shouted.

Meanwhile, Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina, Luna and Artemis all arrived at Lizzy's. Serena rang the bell, but got no answer. Luna simply said that she still couldn't believe that Serena went to the coffee shop and left the others waiting to study.

"Oh, it's okay, Luna." Mina said. "Besides, we needed a break, and Elizabeth has cupcakes!"

Lita talked and giggled to herself while Serena pressed the doorbell "into the next dimension" (See DBZ dub - Ed.).

"I don't care where we study, so long as we get to learn." Amy said.

"It looks like we might be studying out here." Raye said, aggravated. "Why doesn't she answer the door?"

The entire group looked at Serena's excessive doorbell pressing.

"Strange, isn't it?" Serena said with a blush. "I wonder if she's still at work or something. Maybe she forgot about us."

She opened the door, and to her surprise, it swung open easily. As the door opened, the girls looked inside to see Lizzy collapsed on the floor, unconcious.

The girls all ran to Lizzy and looked at her.

"Looks like her Pure Heart Crystal's been taken from her." Artemis said upon inspection.

"We've gotta find that slimy Heart Snatcher and get it back for her." Mina said.

"But how do we know how to find the Heart Snatchers?" Serena asked. It was then that they noticed the broken window.

Meanwhile, the Heart Snatcher was searching for the Heart Crystal it had lost. Its vacuum attatchment had a detector on it for just such an emergency. The detector had picked something up, and the Heart Snatcher was elated.

"Machines can do anything these days!" It shouted.

Back at the apartment, Amy was doing a radar scan with her mini computer. All she could determine was that it was within ten miles and heading north. They had planned to split up and look for the Heart Snatcher. Before they could do anything, Lizzy's body sprang to life.

"First kiss." She said, looking right at Lita. "Kiss me, Michael."

At that, Lizzy lunged at Lita lips first. Lita fought off Lizzy, and pushed her down. As she did, Lizzy shouted out a host of boys names.

"Don't you remember, Elizabeth?" Serena shouted. "Your dream of treasuring your first kiss with only the guy who's special to you! Not just any guy, remember? At the best time and the best place! Don't you remember?"

"But I just need a kiss, any guy will do!" Lizzy shouted, struggling as Serena held her down.

"I have a feeling." Amy said. "It's bad news that when her Pure Heart was stolen, her pure thoughts were taken as well."

"Well, that makes sense." Mina said.

"Makes sense to me too!" Raye said, holding up an anti evil sign. "Evil spirits, begone!"

Raye threw the paper, and it landed on Lizzy's mouth, holding it closed. The girls agreed that Raye stay with Lizzy while the others go and search for the Heart Snatcher. Soon, all four including the cats were out in the street, searching in different directions. Lita and Mina found nothing. Serena shouted for Amy's help. Amy told Serena to go north. She was about to get going when Darien pulled up in front of her on his motorbike.

"Serena, I know you're in a hurry, so hop on." He said. Serena nodded.

Meanwhile, Raye was staying with Lizzy, trying to keep her alive. She kept chanting "Moon, Earth, Star, Sun". Suddenly, Lizzy seemed to struggle again.

Hurry up guys, and get the crystal. My magic can't help her. The only thing that will save her is her own pure heart. She thought to herself, biting her nail.

Outside, Serena, Luna and Darien sped towards the Heart Snatcher's signal on his bike. Darien stopped his bike suddenly. Serena gasped out loud.

"What?! It's supposed to be in there?!" She shouted. She was looking at a junk yard. Just then, a huge whirlwind exploded from the junk yard, and the Heart Snatcher emerged with Sailors Neptune and Uranus in hot pursuit.

"The thief of hearts!" Serena shouted.

"She's got a Crystal with her." Luna said. Darien cued Serena.

"MOON COSMIC POWER!"

Sailor Uranus attempted a jump kick, but missed. The Heart Snatcher tried to hit Neptune, but missed also.

"You." The Heart Snatcher said. "I thought I lost you two."

"Hand over the crystal now, dirtbag!" Uranus shouted. The Heart Snatcher didn't have that in mind.

"Quiet!" Shouted a voice. "The only one entitled to that crystal is Elizabeth! How dare you snatch the pure heart from a girl who dreams of her first kiss! A pure heart can be pure only when it's with its rightful owner! I stand for love, and I stand for justice! I'm Sailor Moon! And in the name of the Moon, I shall punish you!"

"Ooh." The Heart Snatcher said. "Another long-winded pixi. I think it's time for a little cleanup!"

With that, the Heart Snatcher extracted her vacuum cord and whipped at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon dodged the whip, but was not fast enough to dodge the Heart Snatcher's whirlwind attack. Neptune and Uranus jumped towards the Heart Snatcher, but were repelled while dodged dust bags being fired at them with deadly force. As they landed, the Heart Snatcher stood above them on a pile of cars. Sailor Moon landed face first between the two forces.

Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune leapt up at the Heart Snatcher and fought it. Sailor Moon watched on her belly, thinking about Elizabeth. Sailor Moon tried to rise to her feet, but couldn't. Meanwhile, Neptune and Uranus were blasted down by the Heart Snatcher's wind attack. The Heart Snatcher prepared to destroy the Sailors, but was suddenly stopped by a red rose hitting it. The Heart Crystal fell to the ground.

"An evil one with an impure heart could never be worthy of the crystal of a pure heart." Tuxedo Mask said. He was standing upon a pile of old stuffed animals, one of which was a Tux doll. "Return it now and toss yourself into the scrap heap, you piece of junk!" He said.

While the Heart Snatcher's attention was diverted, Tuxedo Mask cued up Sailor Moon.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

The power of Sailor Moon's attack purified the vacuum cleaner. The Daimon pod slipped out of the machine and broke, sending its spirit off to the sky. Sailor Moon arose and ran towards the crystal.

"Let's go stop her!" Neptune shouted. Sailor Moon tried to climb the car pile, but Uranus stopped her. Neptune reached the crystal first. Before she could pick it up, a red rose hit it, sending it rolling. Tuxedo Mask jumped at Neptune. Neptune leapt at Tuxedo Mask, and Tuxedo Mask blocked her attempted elbow hit. The Heart Crystal sailed to the ground.

"I must take it back to Elizabeth, or she'll die!" Sailor Moon shouted.

"We know she'll die without it!" Uranus shouted, still holding Sailor Moon back.

"Then why are you doing this?" Sailor Moon asked.

"You wouldn't understand." Uranus replied. Neptune and Tuxedo Mask landed back upon the top of the car pile.

"We have to do it." Neptune said. "It's our mission."

"Enough fooling around." Uranus said. She threw Sailor Moon to the ground. While Tuxedo Mask was distracted, Neptune leapt to the Crystal and picked it up.

"Oh no!" Neptune said. "It has no power. It's just the crystal of a pure heart."

"What?!" Uranus exclaimed. Sailor Moon rose to her feet. She jumped at the crystal and got it. She held it close and tight to her. Uranus and Neptune looked at her.

"Do as you like." Uranus said. Uranus and Neptune turned and walked away.

"What happened to them?" Tuxedo Mask wondered. As they watched Uranus and Neptune walk away, the other Sailors came on the scene. They left immediately to return Lizzy's heart crystal.

That night, Uranus and Neptune sat upon the car pile, looking up at the moon.

"I wonder if that girl will ever be able to make her dream come true." Neptune wondered.

"I'm sure she will." Uranus replied.

"In a way, I'm relieved that her Pure Heart Crystal didn't have any powers."

She didn't notice Uranus's scowl from behind her.

"Don't think about it." Uranus replied. "We must get Pure Hearts at all costs."

"You're right." Neptune said. "I know it's our mission to collect pure hearts with special powers."

Meanwhile, Serena returned Lizzy's Heart Crystal to her. Lizzy's skin regained its color, and the girls were elated.

"All right!" Lita said. "Gee, I hope her eyesight's back to normal too."

"Yeah, that sure was a nightmare experience, wasn't it, 'Michael'?" Mina teased.

"Boy, I'm sure glad we were there for Elizabeth." Serena said. "Like in Italy many years ago, if a young couple kissed there was a strict law that made them get married. So you see? You can't make light of a kiss."

"Look at Miss Restraint!" Mina said. "You're a fine one to talk. That's all I see you do is frivolously kiss Darien!"

Mina's words made Serena flinch.

"Right now, I think we should care a little more about studying than anything else." Amy said, lightening the situation. She dragged the girls off to start. Darien in the meantime, stood outside on the balcony. Serena joined him.

"I'm so glad Elizabeth is back to normal." Darien said.

"Yeah." Serena said, gazing up at the moon. "And her cherished dream is too."

"First sweet kiss."

"I think she's got a lovely dream. I'm so glad I was able to help protect it." Serena said. "She deserves to live her dream."

She looked up, and Darien was looking at her eyes. She smiled softly, and they both drew closer and closer. Just as Darien was about to kiss her, Serena said something.

"Excuse me, Darien." She said. "Do you remember our first kiss like I do?"

"Well, um... I... uh..." Darien replied, blushing.

"Darien?" Serena said, blinking. "Darien? Oh no, you don't remember?"

"Well, uh... can we talk about this later?"

"No! Our first kiss is important!"

"Look, the moon is so beautiful tonight."

"Oh! Darien, how could you forget?!"

"Serena, please don't."

"Darien!"

The moon shone that night, listening to the lover's quarrel.
