Sailor Moon episode 62

"Boring!" Serena stopped reading. Rini was ready to go to bed, and Serena was reading her a story. Serena looked at the story.

"You've got to be kidding! This is the best part of the story!"

"But I already know this story." Rini said. Serena looked at her.

"So you mean I've been reading this for my own enjoyment?" Serena asked. She smiled and said, "But hey, that's okay. So, the Princess finally opened her eyes and the spell was broken!" Serena closed the book. She said to Rini, "Isn't it romantic, don't you think? Rini? Rini." Serena turned to see Rini asleep on her bed. Serena said,

"She slept through the best part!" Luna told her to give Rini a break. She was a long way from home, and was in a strange place. She was probably tired from trying to help her mother. Rini slept.

Serena stood before Darien in a beautiful wedding gown. She wore a ring, and looked beautiful. They were finally married. They kissed lovingly. Then, Serena seemed to have her back turned on Darien. She looked back to him mournfully, then seemed to move away. The ground beneath her was destroyed...

Darien looked at the remains of his lost love. Someone spoke to him.

"Prince Darien, remember you must keep your distance from Princess Serena."

"Not you again!" Yelled Darien. "Who are you, anyway?"

"I know that is going to be difficult for you," The voice continued, "but you must stay away from her. Her safety, your safety, the future of the very planet hangs in the balance."

"This is just a stupid dream!" Darien yelled, frustrated. "The same nightmare I've had every night. How do I know you're for real?"

"Because." The voice echoed. "I have seen the future, and I know the truth. You must believe me..."

Darien awoke with a start. In the dark of the night, he was left only with his memory of the dream, and his thoughts. He looked at a picture of him and Serena. He heard the voice saying something.

"Princess Serena will be in terrible danger..."

Suddenly, the glass around the picture broke, and it looked as if Serena slumped over dead. Darien was a little startled. He thought that if he listened to his dream, things would be all right.

The next day, Darien was on a bridge, looking at the water. As he gazed upon the lake, he thought he could see Serena's smiling face staring back at him. He thought, How can she be in danger because of me, when we truly care for each other? Just as he finished his thought, a voice rang out behind him.

"Hi there, Darien!" It was Serena. "Thought I might find you here. I'm worried about Rini. Has she said much to you?"

"No, not really." Darien replied. "She did say something about Crystal Tokyo. That's about it, though."

"She hasn't talked about that to me." Serena said. Then, Darien started to leave, and Serena tried to get him to stay. Darien ran, and Serena said,

"Darien, you seem so distant suddenly." Then she yelled, "Go ahead! Run! Just see if I care!"

Later that day, Darien had retreated to a restaurant to think about what had happened in the past few hours. Then, a man Darien hadn't seen in a long time came up to him.

"Something wrong, Darien?" It was Andrew. Darien said hi, and Andrew said,

"You haven't been yourself lately. I just wondered if everything was okay." Darien was hesitant, and Andrew told him, "Come on, Darien, tell me what's going on. "Maybe I can help if you talk it out. I'm your best friend."

"Yeah," Agreed Darien, "you could be right. So tell, Andrew. What's the best way to get a girl to totally despise you?"

"Sorry to keep you waiting." A woman's voice said. "Hi there, Darien!" The woman had red hair, and green eyes. Darien looked at her and blushed.

At a park, Serena and the other girls were eating ice cream. Amy laughed as Luna and Artemis fought over the last piece of ice cream on a stick. Mina said,

"So, have you had a chance to talk to Rini about her troubles yet, Serena?"

"Nah." Said the distracted Serena. Raye summarized.

"We know she's from a city in the future called Crystal Tokyo, and it's under some terrible attack by some ruthless invaders from the Negamoon."

"And Rini's mother's been captured by these invaders, right?" Amy asked. "And that's why Rini's here now."

Lita continued. "And Rubeus and the Twisted Sisters followed Rini here to catch her and alter the future." Lita noticed that Serena looked quite distracted, and tried to get her attention. Serena said,

"Guys, why do you think Darien's going way out of his way to avoid me?"

"Serena," Luna said, "The topic at hand is Rini and all her problems. Think you can stick to the subject?"

Just then, a motorcycle drove up, and it had two people on it. The driver revved the engine, and Serena shouted,

"How am I supposed to hear myself think? Stop that racket!"

The driver and the passenger opened the face guards on their helmets, and revealed that one of them was Darien. The other was another girl. It was the one Darien had met at the restaurant. Serena was shocked. Darien was with another girl. Serena ran to Darien, and said,

"Who is this girl? She's a cousin of yours, right? Or, some other relative, isn't she?

"Since when do I have to report in and tell you who all my friends are?" Snapped Darien. "Get a life, Serena!"

"Who is she, Darien?" The girl on the bike asked.

"Just some girl I know." Darien told her. As Darien and the girl sped off, Serena said,

"I'm just...some girl." Darien rode away as fast as he could, and Serena cried. Darien recalled his dream about Serena's death, and said in his thoughts, Until I find out what that dream means, it's gotta be this way, I'm sorry. It's killing me too. Darien sped into the distance.

Late that night, Luna was prowling around the house when she heard a sound. She went into the kitchen to see a form sitting in front of the refrigerator. It was Serena, and Luna asked what Serena what she was doing. Serena didn't answer, and proceeded to take food out of the fridge. Luna said,

"You'll have a terrible time sleeping if you eat all that stuff, Serena."

"I don't care." Serena said, sobbing. "I just don't care if I don't sleep, or if I get fat." Meanwhile, Rini had come down the stairs, and stood in the kitchen doorway. Serena sobbed, "Darien's got himself a new girlfriend!" Rini was shocked. "And now that my guy's got himself a new girl," Serena continued, "I'm just going to eat away my sorrows."

Rini ran out into the streets, and eluded Serena's knowledge. She thought to herself, Darien's got a new girlfriend? That can't be! It just can't be! Why would he do that? Rini wandered out into the streets to cross, and looked in time to see a huge semi-truck barely miss her. Rini was scared, and she screamed. The Moon Beam was released, and she was seen by everyone who determined her fate in the future. Meanwhile, Serena saw the energy, and wondered what it was. Luna came into her room, and told Serena that Rini was missing. Serena knew that she had to help.

"So, girls. The little brat's revealed herself again!" Rubeus said through the mirror that showed an image of Avery and Prisma.

"Yes." Prisma said. "We've pinpointed exactly where her energy was released."

"Get her!" Rubeus barked. "And don't fail me this time!"

Rini was running hard, and ran into a park. She stopped when she saw two familiar forms in front of her. They were Prisma and Avery. Avery and Prisma were about to grab her. Rini ran.

"Mommy!"

"Rini!" It was Serena. Serena saw Prisma and Avery running after Rini, and decided she was in a bad mood.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!!"

Avery grabbed Rini, and Prisma said that she wasn't getting away. A voice rang out, telling them not to be so sure, and they looked over to the source.

"Sailor Moon?!" They said. Suddenly, Luna leapt onto Avery's arm, and scratched it as if to be a lion. Avery screamed in pain, and let go of Rini.

"I stand for love, and I stand for justice too! But, I won't stand for bullies like you! I'm Sailor Moon, and on behalf of the Moon, I'll punish you!"

Avery said that they had been expecting Sailor Moon. They had brought a surprise. When Sailor Moon asked what kind of surprise it was, Avery called out.

"Droid Hypnotica, come forth!"

The Droid named Hypnotica appeared in the sky, and laughed. She looked down to Sailor Moon.

"Look into my eyes." She said. Luna told Sailor Moon to be careful, and Hypnotica bombarded Sailor Moon with light. Sailor Moon covered her eyes, but to no avail. The powers of the Negaverse seeped into her body, and Sailor Moon fell to the ground. She said,

"You were wrong about eating too much before bed, Luna. Good night, I'm so tired." Sailor Moon fell asleep. Rini was scared, and Prisma was ready to grab Rini, when a blast of thunder interrupted them. It was the Sailor Scouts.

"So," Jupiter said, "the Weird Sisters are at it again! Why am I not surprised?"

Prisma and Avery didn't care for the odds, so they left. But, before they did, Avery told Hypnotica to put the Sailor Scouts to sleep. Hypnotica hovered over them, and bombarded them with the same light that had gotten Sailor Moon. She told them,

"You're getting sleepy."

"Don't listen to her, girls!" Luna said. "She's trying to hypnotize you! You must resist her, and not let yourselves fall asleep!"

"Go to sleep, go to sleep, you must rest forever!" Hypnotica wailed. Sailor Mars looked at her adversary, and said,

"Where'd you learn to sing, yodeling school?"

"I CALL UPON THE POWER OF MARS FIREBALLS CHARGE!!!"

Hypnotica was hit, and faded into smoke. Mercury said,

"Thanks a lot Mars. I was in trouble big time!"

The Sailor Scouts ran to Sailor Moon. Venus picked her up, and tried to awaken her. Hypnotica said,

"She's dreaming she's running out of energy, and falls asleep forever. Except, there's no waking from this dream! It's real!" With that, Hypnotica, still a cloud of smoke, entered Sailor Moon's body. Sailor Moon began to glow. They took Sailor Moon to a bench, and tried to wake her up. Luna had a realization. Only one person could save Sailor Moon now. She ran to find that person. As she ran, she remembered what Serena had said.

"Now that my guy's got himself a new girl, I'm just going to eat away my sorrows."

Luna ran into Darien's apartment (Yes, it's changed), and leaped on him, waking him up. Luna said,

"Darien, you have to come with me. Sailor Moon's in great danger. She's fallen into an eternal sleep, and you've got to come wake her up. Nobody can do it but you!" Darien gripped his bed sheet.

"But, I can't do it!" Luna was crying.

"I know you still care about her. So why must you continue to avoid her?"

"Because." Luna told Darien to go. Darien was speeding on his motorcycle, and thought, Hold on, Serena! You can't leave me! In a bright flash of light, Darien transformed into Tuxedo Mask. He sped to save Sailor Moon.

At the park, the Sailor Scouts were still trying to wake up Sailor Moon. Sailor Mercury touched Sailor Moon's leg, and said,

"Her temperature's dropped drastically!"

Meanwhile, Tuxedo Mask sped to the park. Sailor Mercury saw him, and Tuxedo Mask rushed to Sailor Moon. He tried to get her to wake up. He remembered the way Serena had died.

"Oh, Darien!" Tuxedo Mask looked up. He thought he had heard Serena's voice, but Serena was unconscious. He asked Serena for forgiveness. He kissed Serena. Meanwhile, in Serena's dream, she and Darien were reunited, and Hypnotica was forced out of her body. Sailor Moon came to, and said to Darien,

"Darien? I feel warm." Tuxedo Mask was glad. Rini said,

"Just like the storybook. The fairy tale came true."

Hypnotica came out of Sailor Moon's body, and suddenly attacked. She pulled a sword out of her head, and flew at Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon pushed Tuxedo Mask out of the way, and Hypnotica sliced his shoulder. Sailor Moon was angry.

"MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!!!"

Hypnotica was finished. She turned into a pile of dust, her life crystal going dead. Later, Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon were talking.

"Sailor Moon, amazing job. I'm really glad you're all right again."

"Darien, I just knew in my heart you still loved me."

"Serena. But, I don't love you."

"But, how can I believe that when you just came to my rescue?"

"That's another story. Believe me. Our love is like a rose. Beautiful when it's in bloom, but it can't last forever."

Tuxedo Mask left Sailor Moon there to ponder over the rose he had crushed, and Sailor Moon thought knew that she had to get Darien back.

Darien was on a dock, and said to himself,

"Oh, Serena. I can't stand hurting you." Tears streamed down his motorcycle helmet.

"Get outta town, Lizzy!" Serena said to the girl at the restaurant. It was the same girl that she had seen with Darien. "I didn't know you were Andrew's little sister!"

"Sure am!" Lizzy said. "And Andrew asked Darien if he would give me a ride home, and that's when you saw us."

"Giving you a ride home? That was it?"

"Yep!" Lizzy said. "And it was really nice of him to go out of his way, cause I was already major late that day!"

"But I thought Darien was your boyfriend." Serena said. Lizzy said that she already had a boyfriend. Lizzy went back to work, and Serena began to say to herself,

"Oh, I've still got a chance to get him back! But, I just don't understand why he Darien has to keep avoiding me all the time. There must be some logical reason. Yeah, that's right! There has to be a good reason. That's right! I'll find out exactly what it is, then, I can win my guy back again."

Serena slurped the last of her drink.

"Yes-so!!!"
