Hooray for Halloween! And who's better to grace my blog's Halloween layout than Sakura, the girl with the thousand outfits? Once I saw this pic, I knew it was meant to be used with my blog. So there we go, mangs. Happy Halloween!

Bad Angie didn't start on her Fantasticks chibis! I've only got one day to work on them, then! As Ethan says, "Oy!"

We had the brush-up rehearsal today and boy, was it funny! Colin, Kaitlin and I messed with the lights (goody!), and the actors were being their usual hilarious selves onstage. Rachael literally fell into the trunk. ^_~ And Ethan finally realized that he's supposed to adjust the drape at the bottom when he hangs it up. ^^v Good boy. And everyone on headset was singing along with the actors, and saying the best lines really loud. ("Damn your kumquat! *clip-clip*" "*blink* Drown! DROWN!!!") We sure had fun. And Mr. McCann didn't mind one bit. Hehe.

I have an essay due on Monday...blah. And I'll only have Sunday to work on it. I need some serious inspiration.

The stupid essay! Because of it I can't work on my art project! Yesterday night I've decided to complete the WiTT worksheets and do the essay at school. You can tell how this is working out. Hehe. Joyce, Srikanth, Pixie, and Jane will arrive any minute now and I'll talk away happily...totally forgetting about mah essay. Grr. Really grrr. I don't like reflective essays.

Waaahhhh...I'm still not done with the stupid essay! Mah math is done, and so is mah chemistry, and I should be able to do the WiTT worksheets at school. But the essay...*clenches fists*...The essay! Ugh! I can't think of any examples of racism in my life! Grr...

It is now 9:54 PM and I'm only a paragraph further into my essay than I was half an hour ago. A very small paragraph, I must say. Whatever will I do?

Heh. In math class today, Mr. Knowles called a hypotenuse of a triangle "a hippopotamus", and said that this joke is not politically correct anymore. After a bit of discussion, the class established that it deals with racism. I wish I could include that discussion in mah essay.

I have decided that it is impossible for me to complete my HW on my pooter. I get too distracted by all the fun stuff I have filled my hard drive with. And, of course, my website. In order to finish an essay quickly, I need a pooter with no Internet access, no Adobe software, and no mp3s. My computer doesn't match that criteria. In fact, it misses by SUCH a long shot...my dear AIVAS-II is stuffed with Adobe software...

I hate essays with a passion. I have a theater essay due tomorrow, a WiTT essay for Monday, and another WiTT essay for next Thursday. And a WiTT presentation next Friday. Thank goodness that I have a 3 1/2 day weekend to do the WiTT stuff and study for another one of Mr. Knowles' killer tests. Of course, half of the weekend will be taken up by the Fantasticks, but it's totally worth it. It's so sad, though, that there are only two more performances, and then it's over for good! *sniffles* And no one even know what play we're doing next. Blah. Why can't school shows run longer?

Hm. I have to draw a bunch of chibis for Saturday. 17, to be exact. Possibly 19. It's for the cast and crew of the Fantasticks. I'm too nice to them all. *g*

I say I have to finish my Theater essay, complete a chem worksheet & take notes on the textbook chapter, read and answer questions about the roaring twenties, do a shitload of math, and study for a history test. And I'd better start on those chibis as well. That's an awful lot of work to do, and it's already 8:07. I'd better get going!

Listening to: Extrication -- Megumi Hayashibara

Yesterday was such a kickass day ^_^ I got a lot of work done on my art site design, and had a total blast at the Fantasticks performance. I fully adore being on stage crew.

I was such a bad girl, though. So unfaithful to Sam! At the cast party (which was the best cast party I've even been to, btw), Joe and I were getting a bit too cozy on the couch...and for a while I totally forgot that I have a mad crush on Sam. Heh. Maybe Rebecca was right when she said that Joe is attractive to girls. *shrugs*

The performance went much more smoothly, but the actors had less energy, which was very noticeable to us techies. And the damn light blinked again! Several times! Damn that dimmer 128!

Peter Thurlow is such a sweetie ^_~ As I was leaving the party last night, at midnight, he asked me why I was leaving so soon, so I told him that I'm only a sophomore and therefore can't stay out late. (I hate being a sophie and not being able to drive!) And he said that my time will come and all that nice stuff...Peter is so inspirational to everyone around him, it's freaky.

Listening to: Don't Be Discouraged -- Megumi Hayashibara

I haven't blogged in so long...And I have an urge to make this entry as long as possible. It's all because of running crew! I love it dearly, but it takes up an awful lot of time. (I'm a week behind on my math because of it!)

Our opening night was yesterday! While we were getting ready, we engaged in an interesting discussion of the things that could go wrong. Here's a list, in case you're interested:

  • the lights will supernova
  • we'll have a blackout (thanks to me)
  • the set will fall down (this was followed by several complaints about Ethan's height)
  • Mike and Brad will forget to change the set, and the audience will leave during the long break
  • Anna will trip and fall off the stage
  • Ethan will miss the bench and fall on his butt
  • Ethan will mess up on "Round and Round"
  • Ethan will go totally flat in "Round and Round" and the abduction song
  • the audience won't laugh at the jokes
  • and some other things as well

None of this happened. However, one of the lights blinked when the bass line was too loud, Ethan locked his cape in the dressing room (the same thing happened during "Our Town" with Kate Proctor, but the dressing room wasn't locked then ^.~), and...and...the sound monitors weren't working! Meaning the orchestra couldn't hear the actors. Mr. Morgan was ready to explode, I swear. The crew ppl spent the whole first act discussing the monitor problem over the headsets, but couldn't think of any way to fix it. Nothing could be done during intermission, either. But when everyone left, Jenny (the sound head) figured out that one of the jacks wasn't plugged in or something. Hehe.

The whole performance went well, though. The actors really came through. ;_; And Anna G., Jessie, and Kate made a poster and hung it in the aud. *tears well up in eyes* It was so sweet of them...it said "We love Brad, we love Nicole, we love Evgenia, we love Colin", with little hearts instead of the word "love". We almost hugged Anna G. to death.

*bursts out laughing* The cast party was very entertaining. As is custom, everyone gave each other backrubs...in a long chain of people. Almost everyone participated. It was amusing. And then Kaitlin and Anna Lifson got into the hot tub O________O. But the most amusing thing was the following: Kyle Lacy was on the couch with a cup of lemonade, and he looked very uncomfortable, so Ethan took the initiative to toss him a pillow. But the pillow was thrown a bit too hard and, of, course, it hit the cup of lemonade and made the biggest mess ever. LOL

I've decided to draw a little cartoon of the actors and the techies to hang in the dressing room. I'd better work on that now, ne? Speaking of drawing, I'm also planning to draw chibis of the actors as a closing night gift, so yesterday I asked Kaitlin and Colin how I should depict the actors. They immediately told me that I should draw Joe doing his fire/whip dance. It's totally hilarious how he moves during that part! And Ethan will be playing with his fantastic(k) cape, and Anna L. will have her loverly glitter, and Franny M. will be doing the can-can...No, seriously! Her skirt is the object of everyone's affection. It's all ruffly and has to be adjusted regularly, which requires someone from the costume crew to...*stops, not wanting to go into the details*

I can hardly wait until tonight's performance! *bounces excitedly*
