 Life was originally HAPPY
 Toil and suffer in STUDY
 At first only ABC
 -,+,divide and 123.

 Primary 6, PSLE
 then go SECONDARY
 Must learn HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY
 Physics, bio and CHEMISTRY
 After O levels go JC
 but some must go POLY.

 This little COUNTRY
 seems to have many ENEMY
 Boys 18 yrs old ARMY
 then enter UNIVERSITY.

 Girls always watch TV
 Dream to star in SBC
 Ask them to do some DUTY
 Shout and cry for MUMMY.

 Can study continue STUDY
 Can't study, work FACTORY
 Cannot rely on CHARITY
 Earn a little SALARY
 Just enough 4 daily ROTI
 Go work and back by MRT.

 Colleagues formerly FRIENDLY
 Daily treated to COFFEE
 Now gradually get CRAZY
 Behind me say I LAZY.

 Boss has no SYMPATHY
 Work always must HURRY
 Say I always take MC
 Often ask me do OT

 Midnight go back in TAXI
 Midnight surcharge ERP
 Cause my bank A/C NO MONEY
 Nowadays POSB
 Not enough money, EXTRA FEE
 Got cheek say nothing is FREE

 Boy/girl-friend STEADY
 Serious, and then MARRY
 Ceremony and PARTY
 joker-friends give PANTY

 No moon and no HONEY
 2 years later be DADDY
 Wife at KK birth to BABY

 Monthly pay back HDB
 Moonlight as KARANG GUNI
 Earn not enough FEEL GUILTY
 Jump suicide and MATI
