Once upon a time there was a sixteen year old girl who hated computers and could barely type. Until one day this girl discovered that she could make nice little pictures and write stuff and show her crazy thoughts to people around the world! Amanda became a lover of computers, often picking up tech magazines instead of the girly magazines that she used to read. She giggles with delight during imac commercials on t.v and floats through her computer class with no stress at all, a far cry from the Amanda that got a C- in computer class several years before! She doesent even have to think about where the mouse is because it seems to have joined permanatly with her hand. She became Safox, also known as Safoxie, Mandy-hon, Pimp Safox-pants, and fuking Safox. She stayed up even later than usual and learned to type really fast. Glitter was supposed to be a Ferio shrine titled "Ferio's Place." I had so much information on Fuu-chan that I decided to make a page for her too. But I wanted my own little Sailorjupiter shrine, so Mako-chan got thrown into the mix as well. I named it Green Glitter because the characters always wear green and because I have a small obsession with sparkly objects. It was opened to the public on Oct. 4, 1998. Green Glitter progressed happily and became pretty well known among the SM and MKR community but there was something missing! At the time there was only several Chibi-moon shrines up and running so I made Pink Glitter a shrine to her. It was welcomed with mixed messages because most people at the time hated Chibi-Usa but Pink Glitter grew and grew until it became this massive site and alot of Pink. ^^;; Upon opening Pink Glitter I made a new index page titled "Glitter" which has stuck to this very day. Glitter's general purpose on the internet and feel was inspired by Girl Germs and the then called Cynical Dreamer Web.Soon after a webpage to Miyuki-chan in Wonderland opened and to this point, is the most naughty page I have made so far. In April 1999 I started making a Anthy shrine titled Purple Glitter although it was not opened to the public for several months later. There has also been several art galleries of mine but recent problems with space and time forced me to close Pink Glitter. Although I was sad to see my Chibi-Usa page go, I wanted to close it before I got tired of Chibimoon and sick of Sailormoon in general. Although this is a mark in glitter's history it's only a pause because soon glitter should be moving to my dear friends revolution network, and only time can tell what will come out of my webspace and free time. ^_^ I would also like to thank the people that have sent me countless e-mail and guestbook entries giving me support in my work. I would especially like to thank the Kraiders and Alundra-chan for help, and to the rest of my online friends who have helped me with my problems along the way. Over the last year I have made it through the 11th grade and started my Senior year. I have lost and made new friends. I have had new crushes and a thousand first dates. I have drawn a billion drawings and you guys have been there for me. You all have helped me learn so much, not only about accepting myself for who I am but accepting others for what they believe. |
