(strength of the attack), the higher the better. The number on the bottom right
corner(knowing Japanese helps here, Z is highest) is the Defense Rating you'll
have against the opponents attacks. Again, the higher the better. During the
assignment of characters to Battle cards you can choose to only use a certain
amount of characters for the battle. To do this, hit the X button when you've
equipped all the characters that you wish to do battle(a small green circle with
an "E" inside it appears next to all equipped characters). It will then ask if
you're sure you want to go into battle with less than the Maximum amount of
characters allowed: Yes/No This is a good way to save those high powered Battle
cards ;) Before assigning the first character to a Battle card, you can press
and hold the X button to see the opponents hit points and Battle power.
Sometimes a character will retaliate against an opponents attack, causing that
character to take more than one turn in battle. This happens more frequently
when the character is not knocked offscreen by the opponents attack. Item cards
menu Choose a card you wish to use(a box to the right shows where the card can
be used, Battle/World map/Item for specific use) It will then ask, Use/Throw

inventory to make room for the new item Yes/No You can carry up to 24 Item cards
in your inventory at one time. If the Lunch(A version) Item card sneezes when
used, the character portrait will turn to a brunette(B version) and the card
will not work. Using the Dragonball Radar To find the locations of the
Dragonballs you must use the Dragonball Radar. To use it you must go into the
Item card menu and choose it. It is always the first item. After choosing it, it
will appear onscreen. Press the A button to activate it, a grid will appear on
it. You can press the A button up to 4 times while using the radar. Each press
makes the lines in the grid increase, indicating greater range it's search. To
put it away press the B button to cancel. Hit points, KI and Battle power Hit
points are your characters health, if they drop to Zero your character will die.
KI is the energy it takes to throw a fireball. Battle power is the strength of
the character. The higher the Battle power, the more damage the character is
capable of. Hit points/Battle power/Max Ki points, of enemies(main) Radittsu:

fireball The Battle cards 1.(Kamisama's) Gokou, Tenshinhan, Chao-Z, and Yamucha
use this as a base card through most of the game. 2.(Kaiousama's) Piccolo's Base
card becomes this when he arrives on Namek. Gokou's Base card becomes this when
he emerges from the healing tank. 3.(Mazoku's) Gohan and Piccolo use this as a
base card through most of the game. 4.(Namekian's) Vegeta, Dende, Nail, Tsumuri
and Mai-ma use this as a base card. 5.(Ginew's) Black background, orange circle
with Ginew symbol inside it. 6.(KI attack) Blue background in center square,
with an X through it. 7.(Wildcard) Yellow background in the center square. Kanji
looks like 3 bars over an X. 8.(Wildcard) Yellow background in the center
square. Only other Yellow card(except for the card that appears when you use the
Gokou Item card). The Combination(suedo 3D flying headbut) attack All your
playable characters have a base card under their portrait throughout the game.
This card remains the same throughout most of the game. When combined with other
attack cards this will cause your character to perform a Combination
attack(suedo 3D flying headbutt) after their chosen attack on their opponent.
This will only work on the original target of your attack(if another of your
characters kills the opponent first, the Combination attack will not work). This
attack can happen radomly at times also. The cards each character needs to use
in battle, to combine with their base card, to perform the combination attack
are: Gokou(Base#1): combine with #2 or random Tenshinhan(Base#1): combine with
#2 or #4 Gohan(Base#3): combine with #4 Yamucha(Base#1): combine with #2 or #4
Chao-Z(Base#1): combine with #2 or #4 Kulilin(Base#1): combine with #2 or #4
Piccolo(Base#3): combine with #2 or random Vegeta(Base#4): combine with Random
Nail(Base#4): Nail does not have a combination attack Dende(Base#4): Dende does
not have a combination attack Tsumuri(Base#4): Tsumuri does not have a
combination attack Mai-ma(Base#4): Mai-ma does not have a combination attack
Most characters will also perform the combination attack if you use either of
the two Wildcard Battle cards. Later in the game, when your characters' Base
card changes, the card that they use to combine to perform the Combination
attack remains the same(as if the Base card hadn't changed). Special attack If
you choose to have your character use a Battle card that has the same symbol as
their base card, then your character will perform the Special attack. This makes
your character attack "all" the opponents, not just one. If there is only one
opponent, then your character will perform the Combination attack on the
opponent after his normal attack instead. Later in the game, when your
characters' Base card changes, the card that they use to combine to perform the
Special attack must change to their current Base card. Dwellings There are 4
types of dwellings in the game. Plain white: Various characters to talk to and
gain information and items from, reside in these. White with grey top, round:
Healing station, get Max HP and KI White with 2 horns on roof: Training station,
raise your Battle and KI attacks and power. You will gain extra fireball attacks
by raising yor KI. You will also raise your Maximum KI capacity. When you talk
to shopkeep they will ask you if you'd like to train, Yes/No If yes, they ask
you whether you wish to raise your Battle power/KI attack. Battle power: Each
training session costs 1 Training point (amount you have is shown at the top of
the screen while talking to the shopkeep). All the characters are then sent
outside to do battle with various villians to raise their Battle power rating.
After each successful battle it will ask you if you'd like to battle again.
Yes/No The more you battle the higher you raise your Battle power rating (you
can fight up to ten battles). You can only use the Battle power training at
certain times in the game, depending on the levels(usually every 10) of your
characters. KI attack: Each training session costs 1 Training point(amount you
have is shown at the top of the screen while talking to the shopkeep). Choose
the character you'd like to train. Rapid fire(rapidly press) the A button during
the training, this will make your character flare with energy. If enough energy
is gathered, your character will explode the rocks, thereby successfully
completing the training, raising the damage level of your KI attacks. This uses
up your KI, so replenish it when you're finished. Greyish, made of brick, round:
Item card station, buy or sell Item cards. Talk to shopkeep, they will ask if
you would like to Buy/Sell Item cards. Buying: pick the card you wish to
buy(points it costs are shown on the card), if you have enough points(and room
in your inventory) it will be added to your selection of cards. Selling: pick
the card you wish to sell(full value shown on the card is given), it will ask if
you're sure you want to sell that card Yes/No Answer accordingly. You are only
allowed to accumulate 999 points, if you have this amount you need to buy
something to reduce your points before you can sell again. Important things
(semi walkthrough) Section 1, Battle with Radittsu: At the start of the game,
Radittsu shows up and kidnaps Gohan. You then control Gokou and Piccolo and try
and rescue him. You start on Kame House Island. Wander the mainland raising
Gokou and Piccolo's Hit points, KI capacity and Battle power by battling the
villians on the mainland. When you feel you're ready, search for Mr. Popo, he is
being held captive by a group of Saiyamen. Rescue Mr.Popo, he will give you the
Gohan card. You then are called to do battle with Radittsu. After using the
Gohan card during the battle with Radittsu, Gokou will grab and hold Radittsu.
Keep Piccolo attacking him until he can use a fireball(a KI attack card must
appear for you to choose) on him, this will kill him. Gokou loses power when
Piccolo attacks Radittsu, so keep healing him with the Item cards. Gokou must
survive until Piccolo can throw the fireball. When Radittsu is killed so is
Gokou. After the battle Piccolo then takes Gohan away to train him. Piccolo
trains Gohan. To get out of the cave, defeat Piccolo. There is a pool at the
back of the cave that will refill your Hit points and KI power to maximum.
Section 2, Gokou trains with Kaiousama in Heaven: The object of this is to get
Bubbles Hit points down to zero using the alloted amount of cards. You will have
to do it in 3 different amounts of cards. After you complete this part of your
training, you then fight Kaiousama. If you beat him you get called back to Earth
by Shenlon. The dwelling next to Kaiousama will refill your Hit points and KI in
between training attempts, don't forget to use it. Section 3, Vegeta and Nappa:
Using Piccolo and Gohan as playable characters, scour the map until you find
Yamucha, Tenshinhan and Chao-Z. As you find each character, they will join your
party and become playable characters. When you feel your characters are strong
enough, search out Nappa and Vegeta. Before actually fighting Nappa, you will
have to battle two groups of Saiyamen. Gokou appears after you defeat the second
group of Saiyamen, right before you fight Nappa. After defeating Nappa, he gets
up and throws a giant fireball at Gohan. Piccolo jumps inbetween him and the
blast, taking the hit. He dies, Nappa dies. Gokou leaves with Vegeta to fight
him alone. After defeating Vegeta, you are given the Vegeta card. I believe that
Vegeta can turn Ohazuru(giant weremonkey), but I've killed him before he's
transformed every time I've played(maybe you need to have Gohan and the rest of
your characters join the fight by finding Gokou and Vegeta? This is what
happened in the Manga) I believe if he does go Ohazuru, you need to use the
Moon/Tail Item card to defeat him, this card probably cuts his tail off,
rendering him defeated. This section ends with the surviving characters in your
party leaving in a spaceship for the planet Namek, Piccolo's homeworld. Section
4, Landing on Namek: Once landing on Namek there are many things for your party
to do. The following things can be done out of order(except where noted).
Freeza, Dodoria and Zarbon are destroying a village(on the map, above where your
ship landed, to the right a bit) in their search for the Dragonballs. Go to the
village. When you get close to Freeza a cinema will play, showing Dodoria kill
some Namek warriors. As he is about to kill a Namek child, Gohan swoops down and
rescues him. You then fly away with the child. At this point the game has a side
scrolling section of play. The object of this sequence is to avoid Dodoria's
fireballs until all the arrows in the line at the bottom of the screen(timer)
are lit up. You lose hit points for every hit taken. Damage varies from
character to character, depending on their levels. You use the directional pad
to move Gohan, forward, backward, up and down to avoid the fireballs. After
escaping from Dodoria, you land in the center of a hill in the bottom right
section of the map. The child now appears on your status screen as a member of
your party. Find the destroyed Namek village towards the center of the map. Go
into the large house and search the pots that are inside. You will find Dende
hiding there. He will then join your party. Find the Namek village that is not
destroyed. There will be two Namek standing out in the open in it. These are
Tsumuri and Mai-ma, if you have rescued the Namek child and found Dende they
will welcome you as friends and join your party. If you have not rescued the
child, or found Dende, they will regard you as an enemy and attack you. Either
way, if you battle them and lose or you beat them, it's game over. So don't talk
to them until you've rescued the child and found Dende. There are two Saiyajin
battle pods to the middle left side of the map. Kiyui is standing next to one of
them, don't worry about that yet. Go to the cave at the bottom left hand side of
the map. Search the cave. In it you will find in the capsules and holes in the
walls, a Gokou Item card, a Shenlon Item card, a Kaiousama Item card and a pass
to raise your Battle power to level 40(you need to go to the training station
with this). Go to the end of the cave where you will find the #6 star
Dragonball. Just before the Dragonball, there is a long passage to go through,
it is trapped. As soon as you start up the passage, a giant rock rolls down.
Every few seconds another rolls down. You need to time it so that your character
gets into the inlet at the right side of the passage as each rock rolls by. Each
party member loses 50 Hit points per hit by a rock. After getting the Dragonball
and exiting the cave, you are confronted by Kiyui. Defeat him to earn a Piccolo
Item card. After completing all these tasks, your party is called back to their
ship(top left side of the map). When you get there Dodoria is waiting for you.
He destroys the ship with a fireball, then you battle him. After defeating
Dodoria, Bulma appears and everyone leaves. Section 5, Gokou travels to Namek
Gokou is onboard a capsule on his way to Namek. He trains by trying to defeat
the large amont of G-forces he set the ship to have. The training activator is
on the second floor of the capsule, it is the large machine in the center of the
room. When you activate it, it will ask you if you'd like to train Yes/No (at
this point you can set the G-forces you'd like to train in from 10 - 100, by
pressing left or right on the directional pad) You try to win by defeating the
G-forces before your hit points run out, do this by using strong Battle cards.
You will have to do this a few times. After defeating the gravity with Gokou you
are then given control of Piccolo. Piccolo is training with Kaiousama. The first
part of his training is the same as Gokou's when he trained with Kaiousama, to
try and defeat Bubbles. You must do this three times, in various amounts of
cards. After completing this section of his training Piccolo must face Nappa and
Radittsu together as his final test. As it was with Gokou, the dwelling next to
Kaiousama will refill your Hit points and KI inbetween training attempts. After
Piccolo defeats Nappa and Radittsu, you see a cinema where Vegeta arrives on
Namek and confronts Zarbon. Section 6, Back on Namek Bulma and your characters
land on an island in the bottom right corner of the map(you are now on section 2
of the Namek map). The characters talk to each other and then Tsumuri and Mai-Ma
leave your party. Your remaining playable characters are now able to go
exploring again. Bulma stays here on the island in a plain white dwelling, she
will recover your Hit points and KI capacity to maximum when you talk to her.
You will find the #4 star Dragonball in the middle of a hill towards the center
of the map. Talk to the Namek in the dwelling in the center of the map. There is
a destroyed village to the left of the hill where you found the #4 star
Dragonball, go to the only building undamaged. If you search the pots inside the
dwelling you will find a pass for the training station. Go to the cave in the
cliffs at the top of the map. Inside this cave you will find, a Yajirobi Item
card, a Karin Item card, A Kaiousama Item card and an Eye visor-B Item card. You
will also notice that there are tunnels at the left and right sides of the
inside of the cave. Each of these goes to a pool with a fairie in it. The tunnel
on the right goes to a fairie that raises your Hit points and KI. The tunnel to
the left goes to a fairie, that when spoken to(search) will tell you to search
for a cave on an island at the bottom left side of the map. The fairie will tell
you to do something in this cave(pull all the hidden switches). Now you need to
go to this cave to the south and pull all the levers hidden in the holes in the
walls of it, to do this just search all the holes. If a switch is present in the
hole, you will hear a grinding noise alerting you to the fact that you've pulled
a switch. There may be holes in the small rooms scattered throughout the cave,
check them all. It doesn't seem to matter if you pull them more than once. After
you've pulled all the switches, return to the fairie at the left tunnel in the
cave at the top of the map. Talk to the fairie again and it will remove a wall
so you can get to another section of the cave. The pool with the fairie will
then disappear. Walk down the passage that is now accessable, there is a warp at
the end of it. Walk into the warp, you will be transported to another section of
the cave. Look for a small room in the rocks in the open area of this cave,
close to where you entered this section. Nail and another Namek warrior are
inside this room. When you confront them, the warrior will attack you. After
defeating him, Nail will join your party. Continue exploring the cave. Dodoria
is blocking the passage to the lower half of the cave, you must defeat him to
pass. At the end of this passage, towards the bottom right side of this section
of the cave, is a pool that will replenish your party's Hit points and KI.
Continue upwards, as the passage at the top right side of this cave leads to a
passage out to the clearing in the center of the cliffs. The dwelling of the
Namek elder is on the hill in the center of this clearing. Fly up to the
dwelling and go inside. There is a circle of baskets and pots in the room, walk
into the center of them and you will be levitated into the room above. The Namek
elder is seated on his throne in this room. Talk to him and he will give you the
#1 star Dragonball and raise your party's battle power ratings. He will also
turn all the current members of your partys' Base cards into the Namek #4 Battle
card, no matter what they were before. Your characters' Combination attacks are
still done by combining the same cards you did before, but the Special attack
must now be performed by combining with another Namek #4 card in battle, instead
of your characters' old Base cards. Dende and the other Namek child will now
leave your party. You leave this room by falling down the hole in the center.
This brings you back down to the room with the circle of pots. After leaving the
Namek elder's dwelling, Nail will leave your party. Go back through the caves
until you are at the entrance to the original cave you came in. Upon exiting the
caves, Vegeta will fly to your party and land in front of them. He will attempt
to take the Dragonballs that you have collected, but just as you're about to
fight with him, Zarbon appears. Vegeta then joins your party to fight against
him. After defeating Zarbon, he transforms into stage 2, a bulked up version of
the original Zarbon, and you must fight him again. After defeating him for the
second time, Vegeta talks to your party, and decides to join you. You then fly
back to where Bulma is waiting. After talking to Bulma about what has happened
for a bit, the scene cuts to show 5 Battle pods landing in the area of Freeza's
spaceship. Section 7, Gokou continues his journey Gokou is still inside the
capsule heading for Namek. He must continue his training if he wants to become
stronger. As in Section 5, Gokou trains by trying to defeat the tremendous
G-forces he has set the capsule to have. Look at Section 5 for instructions on
how to train. You need to beat the G-forces 5 times, after the fifth, Gokou will
automatically be raised to level 37. Section 8, The Ginew squad arrives Gohan
and the rest of your party are standing near a valley in a hill. (You are now on
section 3 of the Namek world map) There are Dragonballs on the ground in front
of them. The Ginew squad flies in and lands between your party and the
Dragonballs. All seven Dragonballs are there. Ginew takes the Dragonballs and
leaves, leaving the rest of the Ginew squad to take care of your party. First
you fight Recoom and Gurudo together. After defeating Recoom and Gurudo, you are
forced to battle Jiisu and Baata together(if you try and leave before fighting
them, they will follow you and force you to fight). After killing one of these
two enemies, the other will fly away, escaping to warn Ginew. It doesn't matter
which you kill first, the other always escapes. From this point on, sometimes
lower ranking enemies within a squad may try to flee a battle independantly. On
certain occasions when this happens Vegeta will fly after them and kill them. On
other occasions Vegeta will not fight during his turn in battles, even when
assigned to. These instances are random. You can talk to the Namek in the
dwelling towards the center of the map. When you go near the cliffs at the top
right corner of the map, your party will be confronted by Ginew and the other
member of the Ginew squad that escaped from your earlier battle. Freeza's
spaceship is in this area. There is a cave near here also, but don't go into it
until you've defeated Ginew and his team member. When Ginew and the squad member
confront you, the scene cuts to Gokou's capsule landing on Namek. Gokou gets out
of the capsule and flies to your party, joining you in the fight against Ginew.
When battling Ginew you only use Gokou. As you're about to defeat him he
performs his body exchange on you, you then become incapacitated, and Ginew
becomes rejuvinated, while using Gokou's body. After the body exchange and Ginew
is in the form of Gokou, the rest of your party battles him, and the remaining
squad member together. During this battle, if Ginew runs very low on Hit points
he will perform his body exchange on another member of your party. To defeat him
you must have your party inflict a lot of damage on him at once, before he can
get his turn in battle and do the exchange. If he does do the exchange, the
member of your party that he has exchanged forms with, will become Ginew, and
since he had to be close to defeated in order to do the exchange, your party
member will now be also. So make sure to replenish their Hit points. After
defeating Ginew and the remaining squad member, you are given the #1 star
Dragonball. Your party then brings Gokou's unconcious body to Freeza's
spaceship, where it is placed in a healing tank. You then go back outside the
ship, and are told to use the Dragonball radar to find the other 6 Dragonballs.
They are a little to the north west of your current position. Go to the cave
slightly above Freeza's spaceship and enter it. Freeza in stage 1 form is at the
bottom of the cave, he is gaurding the other 6 Dragonballs that are lying on the
ground near him. When you confront Freeza, you will be forced to battle him.
After defeating him, you will discover that it wasn't Freeza at all, just a
Saiyaman in the form of him. Gather the remaining 6 Dragonballs and leave the
cave. After leaving the cave, your party members will place the 7 Dragonballs on
the ground, near Freeza's ship. They will then form a circle around them.
Section 9, Freeza After your party members form the circle around the 7
Dragonballs, the scene cuts to show Nail talking to the Namek elder. Freeza
appears and Nail and him leave the elders dwelling and fly off to do battle.
Freeza cannot be beaten by Nail in this battle, so don't waste your high ranking
battle cards. After Freeza defeats Nail, Nail collapses to the ground, injured,
near death. The scene cuts to Dende talking to your party, he tells them of
Freeza coming to the Namek elder's dwelling and of Nail leaving to battle him.
Dende and your party then fly to a small island above the mainland, and arrange
the 7 Dragonballs on the ground there. When the Dragonballs are arranged, they
summon Porunga, the Namek dragon. After they make their wishes to him the
Dragonballs turn to stone. Your party then flies back to the mainland, where
Dende rejoins it. (you are now back on section 2 of the Namek world map,
although it is slightly altered) Nail lies injured on the ground below the
cliffs towards the top left. Your party must seek out Freeza. He is standing
outside the Namek elder's dwelling. The dwelling no longer needs to be reached
by going through the caves, as Freeza has blown open a hole in the cliffs that
surrounded it. When you confront Freeza, you are drawn into battle with him. At
the end of the first battle turn of your fight with Freeza, Piccolo is called
down from the heavens to Namek(his base card is now #2, Kaiousama's). Have
Piccolo search out the mortally injured Nail. When he finds him, the two Namek
warriors will merge into one. The scene then cuts to your party's battle with
Freeza. After you knock Freeza's Hit points down to a low level, he will
transform into stage 2 Freeza. During your first battle turn with stage 2
Freeza, Piccolo joins your party. After defeating stage 2 Freeza, Freeza
disappears and you are sent to the valley that you originally fought the Ginew
squad in(you are now back on section 3 of the Namek world map). Section 10, The
legend of the Super Saiyajin After returning to the third section of the Namek
world map, seek out the Namek village that is in the cliffs in the upper right
section of the map. Standing in the center of the village are Tsumuri and
Mai-ma, the Namek warriors that were in your party earlier. Talk to them, they
will give you a choice, Piccolo can get both the Namek's Battle power, but it
will mean that Dende will leave your party. Do you: Take their power, but lose
Dende/Stay the way you are. (if Piccolo takes the power, his base card will
change to the #8 Battle card(Wildcard). After you've made your decision about
the Namek's Battle power, you will then need to find Freeza. Freeza(2nd stage)
is in the cliffs below the Namek village, along with a number of henchmen. When
you confront him, you will need to battle through three groups of various
henchmen, before you can fight Freeza. When you defeat the last of the henchmen,
and Freeza is about to battle you, he will transform himself into stage 3. You
then fight him in this form. After a few battle turns Freeza will leave the
battle, you then can fly around and look for him. Every few random battles you
get into will be against Freeza, he will leave after a few battle turns like he
did before. After a certain amount of short battles(usually 3) with Freeza, he
calls your party to the island at the bottom right of the map. You then start
battling Freeza(stage 3) again. When Freeza(stage 3) is nearly defeated, he will
transform once again, this time into Freeza stage 4(the Freeza we all know and
love ;). You then must fight him in this form. After a number of battle turns,
the scene cuts to show Gokou emerge from the healing tank inside Freeza's
spaceship. You now control Gokou. Bring Gokou to where your party is battling
Freeza on the island. Make sure to stop at an Item card station and stock up on
Item cards to help you in your fight against Freeza before you get there. When
you arrive at the island, find Freeza and your party. When Gokou lands next to
the party, he joins it, and together you all battle Freeza. After Freeza is
defeated you have finished the game. The credits roll by under a picture of
Gokou flying with Gohan over Namek. Your other party members fly by one at a
time under them. After the credits are finished the word "END" appears with a
picture of Gokou's head inside. He is in Super Saiyajin form. Thanks go out to:
Adam Nebhut, who asked me a few questions about the game, prompting me to write
this. Steve Feldman(hey! why the #*!% am I in this faq :) And my ferret, Pup,
