Spunky little Martian cop that you wouldnt want to mess with. You see, she's no ordinary cop, or even human for that matter. She's a "third," which is a third generation robot. The thing with thirds is that, unlike the "seconds," they look, act and feel human. Theres no way to distinuish thirds from humans by just looking at them. When she finds out that someone is killing off all the thirds, Armitage is afraid that someone will find out about her.
Ross Syllibus
Police officer that was transfered to Mars after his partner was killed by a cyborg. Because of the cyborg that killed his partner, whom he cared for, Ross hated robots with a vengance. However, after he learned that Armitage was a robot, that didnt matter to him. He had already gotten to know Armitage, and he cared about her deeply. This was a great acomplishment for Ross. He stopped hating robots after learning that they could be nice and caring, not cruel, like the cyborg who killed his ex-partner.
René D'anClaude
An assasinroid that was programmed to get rid of all the thirds. He gets a list of all the thirds, and goes after Armitage. But Armitage wasn't even a normal third. She had originally been built as an assasinroid, like the D'anClaude's, but ended up not being completed. In any case, she was much stronger than normal thirds and put up quite a fight with D'anClaude.
Julian Moore AKA "Pluto"
Julian was the only male third made and is in the form of a teenager, around fifteen or sixteen. Both Ross and Armitage-- and even Julian-- are confused at this. Julian dies when he tries to help Armitage figure out what was going on. When he was logged on to an information database, looking for clues, D'anClaude took over Julian's body and Armitage killed him in self-defense.
Doctor Asakura
The designer of the seconds and thirds, and father to Armitage. He created her, but also raised her. But in time, he lost some of his sanity and became quite strange. He dies when the Martian government attacks his Dunwich hill dome, where all his research was conducted. Armitage tried to get her father to leave, but he would not leave his "alives," which were basically "fourths."
Doctor Rene D'anClaude
Doctor Asakura's old partner. The male assasinroids were built to look like him. Both he and Doctor Asakura designed the thirds and the assasinroids.
