False Bloodlines

Chapter 3

Have you figured out what you’re going to tell Mai?”

“Huh?” Andy jumped, his train of thought completely shattered.

“You’ve been very quiet since I got back. Not to mention the fact that you haven’t touched your food and you keep staring off into space. Since Mai called before I left, and you seemed okay up until then, I assume that’s who you’re thinking about. You’re trying to figure out what to say to her, right?”

Andy scowled, staring across the table to the man at the opposite end. “Are you a mind- reader now, too?”

Terry shook his head. “I just know how you think, that’s all.”

“It should be illegal to know a person that well.” Andy muttered.

Terry flashed a quick smile. “Why? I like to know what you’re thinking.”

“But then you’ll be able to second-guess my moves. If you start doing that, then I might as well not even bother.”

“That’s probably the one thing I can’t do. Besides, who else can I train with?” Terry leaned back in his chair. “Even if I could anticipate your moves, I’d only be able to block moves that I’ve actually seen you use. Don’t sell yourself short Andy. I’ve seen you pull new techniques out of thin air. You don’t give yourself enough credit, and…” Terry sat up, his arms resting on the table, “…your changing the subject.”

Andy winced. “I was hoping you wouldn’t notice.”

“Well I did. Now, have you thought about what you’re going to tell Mai?”

Andy sighed, “That’s all I’ve done for the last couple of hours is think, for all the good it’s done.” Exasperated, he got up to clear the table. As he picked up a plate, Andy felt Terry’s hand lightly covering his own.

“Leave it. I’ll clear the table.” Bringing Andy’s hand to his lips, Terry laid a whisper of a kiss on the back. “Just call Mai and let her know you’re alright.”

“But what do I…”

“Shh.” Terry placed a finger on his lips, causing Andy to shiver from the contact. “You don’t have to explain everything to her right now. Just let her know that you’re okay. The heavy stuff can wait.”

Andy nodded. Slowly, he turned away from Terry’s touch and went in search of a phone. Terry watched him leave, a sad feeling washing over him. *You can trust me, you can trust your friends, but you could never trust yourself, could you Andy?* Shaking his head, Terry gathered the dishes from the table.

“Hello?”

“Mai?”

“Andy?! Is it you? Are you all right? What’s going on? Is everything okay?” Mai sounded breathless as she fired off a round of questions.

“Slow down Mai, and catch your breath.” Andy ran a tired hand through his hair and continued. “Yes, it’s me. I’m fine at the moment. As for what’s going on, I’m coping. It’s not easy, but I’m trying to deal with it.”

“Do you want me to come over?” A small tone of hope surfaced in her voice.

*Oh boy.* Andy took a deep breath, “Mai, I do want to talk to you, but I’m not quite ready yet. All of this has been a huge shock, and I’m still trying to absorb it. Even with the papers sitting here, there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to believe it, let alone accept it. I have to come to terms with it, no one can help me with that.”

“I…understand,” she lied. Suppressing a hint of jealousy, Mai asked, “Is Terry still there?”

Andy could almost see the disappointment in Mai’s voice. “Yes. This is as hard on him as it on me. He’s just found out that the person he thought was his mother isn’t. And he can’t talk to the woman that is his mother, because she died while giving birth to him. I know he’s worried about me right now, but I’m sure Terry’s as upset about all of this as I am.”

Mai battled twin spikes of guilt and shame. She hadn’t considered Terry’s feelings about any of this, just Andy’s.

“Is Terry all right?” she asked hesitantly.

“He seems okay. Like I said, he’s more worried about me at this point.”

Mai smiled, “Well, he is your…” she stopped when she realized her mistake. *Open mouth, insert foot. Idiot.* She tried again. “That is…I mean…”

“It’s okay, Mai, I understand. I guess we’ll all have to get use to it.” Andy sighed.

Mai could sense that Andy was tiring and decided to relent. “Well, if you need anything…”

“I’ll let you know. Thank you Mai. I really appreciate it.”

“Whenever you’re ready, I’ll be here.”

“I know. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Okay, Andy. Bye.”

“Bye.” Andy waited until he heard the telltale ‘click’ before setting down the receiver.

“Well?”

Looking up, Andy saw Terry leaning in the doorway. He peered at him for awhile. Silently, Andy walked over towards him. He gently wrapped his arms around the other’s neck, his head resting on Terry’s shoulder. Andy enjoyed a moment of contentment as Terry pulled him close, his hands trailing lazily up and down Andy’s spine.

“You were right. The heavy stuff can wait, at least between Mai and me.”

“And what about us?”

Andy shuddered. Terry cursed himself for always pushing the issue. *He said he wasn’t ready to deal with it yet.* Terry began to apologize, but Andy cut him off.

“We should go back to the States, and start looking for some answers there.”

Terry nodded, relieved that Andy seemed willing to face their problems. “Sounds good to me. When do you want to leave?”

Andy looked up, his face slightly flushed. “We don’t have to go right now, do we?” he whispered as he pulled Terry closer, kissing him softly.

Terry didn’t resist as he felt Andy’s lips pressing against his own, delicate as a feather. He opened his mouth slightly, and Andy’s tongue began a tentative exploration. Terry was caught by surprise when Andy slowly ground their hips together, forcing him back by the wall. His erection surged, and he moaned loudly from the unexpected pressure. His head began swimming, and Terry had to break the kiss as he searched for air.

“Oh god…”

Andy chuckled, embolden by Terry’s response. He hadn’t taken the initiative the first time around, losing himself as Terry naturally took control. He was a bit unsure of himself, but the fears subsided as Terry came alive in his arms. He reached down, his hand rubbing against the outline of Terry's shaft. He increased pressure as Terry's moaning grew in volume, his hips thrusting wildly.

"God...Andy. Do...you know...what...you're doing to...me?" he gasped.

"Not really. Why don't you show me?"

He heard a low growl. Suddenly, Andy was lifted off his feet as Terry hoisted him up and carried him to the bedroom.

"Tease," he muttered. "Payback's a bitch." He tossed Andy to the bed.

Andy took him by surprise again when he reached up and flipped Terry on his back down to the bed. He straddled him, pinning Terry's hands above is head.

"Payback? If any one should get payback it's you, ya big bully." Andy shifted, causing Terry to buck uncontrollably.

"I didn't hear you complaining at the time," Terry lurched, causing Andy to topple off of him. He moved quickly, holding down Andy's arm the same way as he fell between his legs, "and I better not hear you complain this time. Now, are you going to behave?"

Andy gave a mock pout. "For now, if I have to."

Terry laughed, his fingers drawing lines down Andy's sides. He reached below Andy's jeans to pull up his shirt, his hands brushing against his chest and stomach. Andy tried hard not to giggle as Terry made a playful run over his ribs.

He failed miserably.

"Aha! So that's your weak spot." Terry grinned evilly and made another run over his ribcage. Andy started struggling in earnest.

"Stop it! Stop it! Stop!" He screamed, squirming as Terry continued his relentless assault.

Mercifully, the tickling stopped. Andy clenched his fist, ready to punch Terry three ways to next Friday, when he felt Terry's mouth descend on his left nipple while using his hand to massage the right. His back arched sharply.

"oh..."

Andy tossed his head, his hair streaming across his face, while Terry gently sucked and pulled on the nipple with his teeth. Andy's erection was almost unbearable.

"Please, Terry…please…"

Terry stopped and reached up to move the hair out of Andy's face. "Please what?"

"I don't know!" he gasped.

Grinning, Terry undid the top of his jeans. "Then let's find out, shall we?" Terry slid both jeans and briefs down Andy's legs, leaving a trail of kisses when he came back up. Terry flicked his tongue out to lick the underside of Andy's shaft, the sheets knotting up in Andy's fists. Andy whimpered as Terry blew delicately against his throbbing member.

"Oh god…"

Massaging the balls with his hand, Terry looked up. "Was it that?" he whispered, his eyes smoldering, "Or maybe it's this." He moved, plunging his mouth down the entire length of Andy's organ.

Andy cried out, his fingers entangling themselves in Terry's hair as he thrust wildly in his mouth. He almost lost it when he felt Terry swallow him down his throat. He didn't know if Terry learned it from experience or instinct, nor did he care as he lost himself to the sensations of a very wicked tongue.

"God, Terry…I can't…stop, please…I…aah…"

Andy exploded in his mouth, screaming as Terry drank him in deeply. Terry laughed to himself as he heard Andy go from a tenor to a mezzo-soprano in one breath. He released him, and Andy fell back down in the bed, his body shivering.

"I guess it was that." Terry grinned.

Eyes closed, Andy shook his head, still trying to recover. After a few moments, he opened them, his gaze resting on Terry.

"I knew you were a bully." He sat up, pulling a sheet over himself out of habit of modesty. "What about you? Or are you just being generous today?"

Terry rose to a kneeling position, stripping off his own clothing. "Me? Generous? Not today. I intend to collect right now." Nude, he slid under the sheet with Andy, slowly making good on his word.

Involved as they were with each other, neither one noticed the man staring at them outside the window. Cloaked in shadow, he silently wondered how much this information would be worth.

The figured slipped away, mentally clicking off buyers and prices. He left with one destination in mind.

Southtown.
