Mononoke Hime (The Princess Mononoke) is the latest film from arguably the greatest Japanese animated filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki.

Some Facts: Released in Japan on 12th July '97. It grossed more than $150 million, with more than 13.53 million attendance. It became the No.1 movie of all time in Japan, until surpassed by "Titanic". The film uses 144,000 cels - it is one of the most expensive Japanese animation movies ever made at 2.35 billion yen ($24 million), or twice the cost of Akira. International release will be handled by Disney (Miramax).
