Yep, I actually saw the new trailer for myself. And no, this is not
the 6 minute long english version done by Ghibli- this is the actual
Miramax dub. I didn't see it on the internet or in the theatre, but
actually at a section of a nearby mall called Screenzone Interactive,
where you can trailers of upcoming movies.

To be frank, I loved it. Well, 99% of it. For most of the few
minutes, it looked exciting, inspiring, moving, and I think it sold it
very well- It looked like Disney was really trying to sell it for what
it was. As a result, I want to watch it even more than I did before.

The dub seemed well done from the snippets I heard, and I really
liked Minnie Driver as Eboshi (Claire Danes, OTOH, sounded just a tad
old for San, but not to bad..).

However, there is one brief yet highly annoying moment near the end
that marrs an otherwise awesome trailer- the announcer's pronunciation
of the title, Princess Moh-(like "Mom")-no-no-kee. God, is it that
hard to say even "Moe-no-no-kay"?

Regardless of that, though, I watched the trailer four times straight
(shoulda stuck around for more, though...). Minor gripe - I thought they
went a bit overboard when the announcer called Miyazaki "one of the most
influential filmmakers of all time". Among animators? Hell yeah. But
among filmmakers? Face it, he doesn't exactly have the name recognition
of, say, a Kubrick or a Hitchcock.

Of course, this says nothing about his actual skill, which is up there
with the greats...

The cast of voice actors was mentioned in the trailer. Puff Daddy
wasn't on there. Gillian Anderson, Claire Danes, Billy Crudup, Jada
Pinkett-Smith, and Billy Bob Thornton were listed, but no Puff Daddy.

Oh, and I live in Northern NJ. The mall was Macy's/Garden State
Plaza, and I saw it on the first floor, near the food court.^_^
