Looky looky! Here's something you don't see everyday...a personal web page with a FAQ section! It's a page dedicated to answering some of your most commonly asked questions...I'm always adding on so check back once in a while, maybe your ??? will be on here too!

Are you Hawaiian?

Technically, no, but I was born and raised here on the island of Maui. My ethnicity is Filipino, although I have never been to the Philippines nor can I speak the language. I supposedly also have Spanish roots and everyone says my last name is Italian, but I should do some investigating someday into my family heritage. In Hawaii, Hawaiians make up only a percentage of the population of Hawaii-they call this place the ‘melting pot of the Pacific’ because of the diverse range of nationalities here-Hawaiians, Americans, Asians, Europeans, you name it. But island life has a distinct culture all on it’s own, which is what we like to call ‘Hawaiian Style’, that makes it unique and special in a way that I probably couldn’t describe on paper. So although a lot of us aren’t really Hawaiian in an ethnic sense but we are in the heart.

What’s it like living in Hawaii?

Well, the rumors are true, it’s almost paradise! It’s sunny all year round, sandy beaches, lush green tropical rainforests with waterfalls, spectacular sunsets, I’m not complaining! it’s all here. Hey, our economy depends on tourism! So don’t hesitate to drop by aaaight=)? The cost of living here is very high, but I guess that’s the price you pay to live here. It’s really pleasant to live here in Hawaii because overall everyone is pretty much laid back, and it’s hard not to be in such a relaxing atmosphere. But although it’s not on a greater scale other parts of the world, we do have murders, gangs, drugs, homeless, disease-no one on this planet can escape those things as long as we are in Satan’s wicked system of things!

Are there really beautiful dancing Hawaiian hula girls there?

Yes, there are. Only thing is nowadays they only wear their skirts 8 hours a day, have very good benefits, and belong to a union. But still a sight to see!!!!!

Is the legendary entertainer Don Ho dead?

Nope. The ‘Tiny Bubbles’ guy is still alive and kicking…and I do believe he is still doing shows in Waikiki. You might be mistaking him for Jack Lord, that Steve McGarret guy on Hawaii 5-0. He just passed away last year (book em, Danno!).

I hear people in Hawaii love SPAM (the canned food!), is this true?

Yup, spam is considered the 'Hawaiian steak'-everyone loves it (well, almost everyone). Spam is probably found in everyone's home and is prepared in ways you'd never imagine (attend the Spam Cook-Off). Yup, locals here can't get enough of it (just don't tell them it's made up of grinded up ears, noses, and other unmentional body parts-eeeew!!!) But you want recipies? Just ask...

If you would like to see your question on this page, just ask it alot and I'm sure it'll get on here eventually!=)
