aku, soku, zan lunacy

It sweeps through my senses
Pure and concentrated
Ecstasy.
Like the threads of light
Weaving through the veil of emerald leaves
Reach out and touch that something special's face
Bear it up, breath with me
The song of insanity sings in my veins
Pulsing, beating, living
BRINK

I'm a loser
Pitied and broken like a glass ornament.
These shards of doubt stab into my heart
Sending drops of inky black
Weeping from my bleeding soul
My will tears me asunder
Providing a sort of pseudo-spirit
To make me live a life I do not have
Hit me like a meteorite.
Hold me up, take me down
When it's all over, drop me
Let me fall.
Into darkness so complete
So forbidden, ever deep
That it swallows me whole and devours me.
Come, string me up
Make me move, make me dance
I'll be your puppet.
Aku, soku, ZAN

Oh what madness festers within
(what do I want to see?)
What pain, what craziness-- sheer insanity
(a devil and an angel holding hands)
I feel it moving through my mind
Creeping, crawling, the bump'ngrind
(fangs flashing behind a fairy's face)
I'm losing myself, but I don't know who I am
All the masks fall and shatter in my hands
Fatal commitments, mistaken truth.
Through a stained glass window
Beyond the erected wall
I look to see a hundred versions of myself.
Mirrored, reflected, I'm confused.
In echoes, in remnants-- I resonate.
(bring me up on that s.p.i.r.a.l.i.n.g. staircase)
I lose myself.
Take me, make me, mold me.
Lead me, guide me, shove me there
Up a towering pedestal with only one escape
Then close that door in my face.
