Mamoru is Usagi's boyfriend and eternal love. He lives alone in his apartment. His parents died when he was little in a car accident and he lost his memory. He recovered it, as he remembered he was Prince Endymion, when the Silver Crystal was formed after he was harmed by Zoisite.

            In the past time, Prince Endymion of Earth was Princess Serenity's lover. But both were killed by Beryl. Though, they reincarnated, Serenity as Usagi Tsukino and Endymion as Mamoru Chiba.

            As Mamoru, he is really serious and a man with lot responsibilities. He is quite different than Usagi. When they first met they could hardly stand each other. He told her "odango atama" (odango head) because of her haristyle and always teased her about her grades, weight and mischevous personality. But as thay remembered their past life thay loved each other again. In R's first arch, though he doesn't remember anything, some attitudes tell us that he likes Usagi even as she is.

            His name means Protector of Earth. That's because in the team Mamoru represents the Earth been as he is the Prince of Earth.
