Introduction : Hmm in this fanfic, Fujima had just separated with Maki, and was trying to forget him. Reason for separation, simple, Fujima was jealous of Maki being with Kiyota. Once again he was single and alone until one day, he was assigned to do a project with Hanagata, an old basketball pal. Hanagata, after keeping mum about his feelings for Fujima all these while suddenly got the courage to express them. Will Fujima accept the new guy and completely dump away the old one?

"Kenji, going off now?" Hanagata was wondering how to ask Fujima out for a date. It was 10 minutes before the library closes.

"Yep, I’m going to borrow these books, how about you?"

 "Well err… Kenji.. will be free after this?"

"Yah, why?"

"Coz I thought maybe we could discuss more about the project outside."

"Ahh you’re always that hardworking. Well ok …" inside, Fujima was hoping to go some where else to enjoy himself.

"But err.. Hanagata, maybe we should rest and relax ourselves first before going through another round of project discussion…I’m err.. rather tired of doing the project."

"Well suits me fine. Where do you suggest that we go?" Hanagata was gripping anxiously at the books as he was too excited that Fujima has agreed to go out with him. Finally, after all these months, besides the basketball practices, there wasn’t much chance of him meeting up with Fujima as Fujima always disappear mysteriously after the practices. And this year, due to the heavy schoolwork, he couldn’t encounter Fujima at all coz both of them seldom attend the practices at the same time, till the much-pray for project assigned to the two of them that bring them together again.

Inside his mind, Hanagata was rehearsing what he had kept in his heart all along. He wanted to let Fujima know about his feelings all this time. Though they were not that intimate, his feelings still hadn’t change. But is Fujima aware of that!?

 The two hungry boys headed to Burger King for their dinner.

"Where do you want to go after this?" Hanagata asked, hoping Fujima wanted to go somewhere peaceful so that he could declare his love.

"Err.. how about the amusement park that is opening today, there’ll lots of people and it’ll be very exciting and fun! Haven’t been to those places for a long time now!" Fujima was all very delighted and beaming his sunny smile.

 "Sure!" it was opposite of where Hanagata was thinking but who cares, Hanagata would go anywhere Fujima wanna go. They finish up the food and took a bus to the amusement park. They played the roller coaster ride, Viking, basketball shooting (pp: Fujima won a big bear ^_^ ), and the bumper cars.

Just as they were leaving the park, who else did they encounter but Maki and Kiyota.

Fujima’s jubilant face turned to a frown. ‘Well after all they had been enemies since the first inter-school match 2 years ago…’, Hanagata was finding a reason for Fujima’s sudden change of mood. The mood change was so sudden that even Hanagata was surprised.

"Let’s go, Hanagata!" an angry Fujima suddenly hold on tight to Hanagata’s hands as he dodged away from Maki’s approaching arm. "Fujima!" Maki exclaimed. But instead of replying him, swiftly, Fujima walked away as fast as he could. Hanagata was trailing behind closely. As he turned back to look at Maki, he realized that it was not the proud face which Maki always display but a sad solemn one.

Now he understands that the rumors he had always hear were real. Maki wouldn’t be sad for an enemy for sure, and neither will Fujima try so hard to run away from an enemy, there is something going on between them, something he did not know.

While following closely behind Fujima, Hanagata felt a mixture of confusion and hopelessness. Unconsciously, he has come to Fujima’s house.

 "Come in, don’t stand there in the rain..." Fujima invited.

Seeing Fujima wiping himself dry with a towel, he realized that he was all wet and feeling cold. Outside the door, it was pouring heavily. "Since when did it rain?" Hanagata was too lost in his thoughts to have realized his surroundings.

"It rained when we were crossing the street remember, you were still standing there waiting for the traffic light to turn green… I had to pull you to cross an empty road." (author : so Fujima is a law-breaking citizen =p) saying, he threw Hanagata a new piece of towel, "Here, dry yourself fast, I don’t want a sick partner…" Fujima joked.

"Do you care if I fall sick?" Hanagata suddenly grabbed Fujima’s hands as he asked him this the question, he was looking intensely at Fujima, trying to search for clues in his emotionless face. "Are the rumors about you and Maki true, what kind of relationship are the both of you… tell me?"

Fujima was silent for a while, then he finally speak "So you have affection for me all along…." This time, it was not an emotionless face that Hanagata witnessed. It was a face filled with amusement. Fujima’s was smirking at him? He did not know, all he know was that he seems to be Fujima’s next target as Fujima advances towards him. He wanted to escape from this moment but he was too captivated by Fujima to do anything, Hanagata let Fujima unbutton his wet shirt to dry him with the towel. And shortly after that, Hanagata’s hands lose discipline and were caressing Fujima’s torso uncontrollably….. They were about to kiss when Maki’s voice was heard over the door. "Great!" Fujima sneered as he got up to open it. Maki looked distressed and unsettled. But on seeing Hanagata wearing only boxers, and a shirtless Fujima, Maki went into a rage and wanted to vent his anger on Hanagata, but Fujima was quick to protect that innocent guy.

 "What are you trying to do, Shinichi Maki!" Fujima shouted at him.

 "I don’t want to see you with another guy in this kind of scene!"

"Ha ha … why? You can be with another, so can I." Fujima argued. "And this is my house, I want you out of here!"

"But I wasn’t fooling around like you did!", feeling hurt of what Fujima had done, Maki scurried out.

Silence surrounded the room. Hanagata was the first to speak, "You still like Maki, don’t you, what you did just now was to spite him huh.. coz you know he would come for you." Hanagata was putting on his clothes. Fujima was still silent.

"The rain has stopped, I guess it’s time for me to go too. Remember there’ll be a project meeting tomorrow."

 As Hanagata opened the door to leave, Fujima opened his mouth and muttered, "Yah, I guess I do like Maki still, sorry."

"I understand.." Hanagata gave him a sad smile and leave.

 After a while, Fujima went out of the house too. He was on his way to find Maki.
