The Crystal Dungeon! Before Endymion could answer, Mercury suddenly interrupted
the men s conversation by her exclamation. She took out her mini-computer and started typing
on its keyboard in a speed no one in the universe could match. Not even Serenity in her wrong
mind. The defenses! Someone turned off the Crystal Dungeon defenses! Who could have
known all the passwords that holds the access key to the Crystal Dungeon and turned off the
electron-based lock and figured out all the combinations and the access codes? It s impossible!
Well, it s about time you find out.
The senshi, Endymion, and Small Lady, looked up, and found Eve in mid-air, floating
across towards her brother.
Eve! How did you escape? Mercury demanded. How did you break through the
Energy-Reducing Bubble?
But before Eve could answer, a figure appeared at the entrance to the realm of Time --
Serenity.
Serenity! What are you doing here? Endymion exclaimed. Oh! No! Is that you
who shut down the defense system of the Crystal Dungeon? But how...... He paused for a
second, realizing something, then said, The computer! That s what you ve been doing in the
Computer Room all day long!
Isn t it a bit too late to find out? Eve grinned evilly.
Can t blame him. He trusted me. Serenity remarked.
Fool. Vil concluded.
There were silence for a while.
Eve and Vil, if you don t give back Neo-Queen Serenity s soul right now, we ll have to
fight you! Small Lady announced while her father was still in shock.
Why should we waste our energy in such a stupid battle game? Eve yawned.

Eve growled angrily and held up her clenched hand in anger, ready to smash Serenity s
soul with one single fist.
A blooming red rose sliced through the air and cut Eve s palm before she could touch
Serenity soul.
I would not allow you to harm Serenity! How dare you to attack my beloved! She s
the one who holds a special place in my heart! Endymion, who had transformed into Tuxedo
Kamen in a flash, declared.
I ll get you back! You oaf! How dare you hurt me because of her! Eve flared and
leaped into the air, firing a dark power bolt at Tuxedo Kamen, who dodged neatly.

Saturn had been waiting for that chance to attack Eve. Before the evil sister could
retreat back beside Vil, the powerful attack had hit Eve head on. She fell on the ground, badly
injured, and was moaning in pain.
Jealousy kills the temptress! Serenity s soul remarked joyfully in singsong. Serves
you right! You harpy face of a witch!
Neptune ran up and was about to grab Eve s arm in order to hold her captive. But a
dark power bolt stopped her short before she could touch her, barely missing her by an inch.
Neptune, are you alright? Uranus ran up and asked anxiously.
Yeah, sure. Neptune nodded with a assuring smile.
Everyone turned towards the direction where the bolt had come from -- the
empty-minded Serenity, whose arm was still up from firing the bolt. A peculiar smile spread
across her face, her big eyes that was full of emptiness sent everyone shivers.
Traitor! Serenity s soul cursed. How dare you!
You call yourself a traitor? Vil asked, his lips curved.
But that s not the real me. Serenity s soul clarified soberly.
Meanwhile Tuxedo Kamen exclaimed in surprise, Serenity! Why did you do that?
Hey! I m right here! The soul on Vil s palm protested.
The solid-Serenity just looked at her husband blankly, her smile faded. She looked as if
she had never heard him at all.
Then, before anyone knew what he was trying to do, Tuxedo Kamen went up to the
solid-Serenity and slapped her.
Wake up! He cried.
Serenity --the one with the body -- screamed and fell on the ground, her cheek was red
and her eyes were full of tears.
Geez! He s gonna pay for that! The soul bellowed.
But he isn t slapping you, just your, uh, body. Vil pointed out.
Still! What gives him the right to slap me like that? Serenity s soul retorted.
He s your husband. Vil replied with a smile.
Which is the reason why I m going to make him pay. The soul explained.
I see. Vil nodded. Ummm, poor him.
Over at the other side, everyone was shocked by the King s move.
Your Majesty! Why did you do that? Pluto asked in surprise.
She s being possessed! I m trying to make her wake up! Tuxedo Kamen explained
firmly.
Awwwwww......that hurts. Serenity s body moaned as she got up from the ground.
Hey! What s this place? What am I doing here?
Foiled again. Vil cursed, then he called to his sister, Eve, come back now!
Eve struggled to stand up. But Venus and Jupiter were faster.

senshi s hold. She turned abruptly in the air, facing the senshi and the royalties, her eyes shone
like a wild animal. Smiling awkwardly and evilly, she fired a powerful, deadly dark power bolt
at Tuxedo Kamen, who was caught by surprise and failed to dodge away from the attack.
Look out! The senshi, Small Lady, and Serenity s soul cried in unison.
Serenity s body, freed of the evil possession, took action. She leaped in front of Tuxedo
Kamen and took the surprise attack for him. The dark power bolt penetrated through her body,
like it did last time. Only this time, no soul came out, since there was none. She screamed in
pain, and fell in Tuxedo Kamen s arms.
NO! USAKO! NOT AGAIN! Tuxedo Kamen screamed in agony.
Eve landed beside Vil after the attack, her eyes were back to its normal color. She
blinked and looked at her hands in shock. What have I done? She asked in horror. What
have I done?
You killed her. Vil whispered in a low voice, but everyone could hear clearly.
On the other side, in Tuxedo Kamen s arms, Serenity (body) opened her eyes slowly, and
whispered weakly, En......Endymion......
No! Don t talk! We ll heal you! You ll be alright! Tuxedo Kamen cried, tears filled
his eyes. He turned abruptly at Saturn. Saturn! Can you heal her?
Saturn ran up immediately, but Serenity refused, No, it s useless. Endy......Endymion,
I......I have something......important......to tell you......I......I didn t......steal the information from
the computer on purpose......I......couldn t......control myself......would you......forgive me?

Tuxedo Kamen had no time to hesitate. He quickly grabbed Serenity s fading hand and
willed her life to be linked with his, keeping her barely alive. Now their bodies shared the same
heartbeat and the same breathe. Never in his life had Endymion felt so close to his wife before.
The Queen s body and soul solidified. But Tuxedo Kamen knew the moment he let go of
her hand, he will lose her forever.
He turned to Eve after he made sure Serenity s life was safely linked with his.
Why did you help us? He asked curiously. I thought we re enemies. And
she s......your rival.
I......don t know. Eve lowered her head. I just......don t want to see her die, nor
would I want to see you sad. I didn t intend to kill her, or you. I didn t even know how I
recovered from such serious injuries in a flash and launched that deadly attack. My power was
never that strong before. It was like someone, or something, was using my body......
You felt that surge of power too? Eve? Vil looked surprised.
Eve nodded with a wry smile.
I understand that you both have just discovered something very important about
yourself. Tuxedo Kamen interrupted them after he wiped away his tears with his free hand.
But right now Serenity s life is in peril. And the only way to save her, I suppose, is to restore her
soul back to her body. Otherwise, she ll die!
Eve and Vil looked at each other, undecided.
Suddenly the King fell on his knees, I beg you, Vil, please give back my wife s soul. She
can t die! We need her! The whole universe needs her. I need her! I beg your mercy, Vil, please
give back her soul!
Vil had been dreaming of having this human King beg for mercy while he threaten to
harm Serenity s soul. But not like this. Not in such a situation. He felt sorry for them, he felt
sorry for Serenity. But should he hand back this valuable soul? What about the ambition to take
over the universe? He will never be able to do that once Serenity s soul is back to her body. The
power of the Imperial Silver Crystal will lead to the end of him and his sister. What should he

The senshi and Small Lady all knelt down behind their King and pleaded, Please! Give
back the Queen s soul!

staring at the caring, sapphire-blue pupils of his husband.
Usako! You came back! Tuxedo Kamen exclaimed with joyful tears and hugged
Serenity so tightly she winced. You really came back! Oh! Usako!
Serenity smiled affectionately, I wouldn t leave you.

Usagi!
Small Lady and the senshi also exclaimed with joy as they circled their Queen. Relieved
tears rolled down their cheeks uncontrollably.
Serenity got up from Tuxedo Kamen s arms and approached the evil siblings, Thank
you, Eve, and especially you, Vil.
You don t need to thank us. Vil said coldly. You had escaped by yourself. You owe
us nothing.
Serenity shook her head gently, Do you really think so, Vil? When my soul floated away
from your hand, you refused to grab me back when I was still at your reach. You had
prurposefully let me slip by your hands. You wanted to let me go, Vil, don t try to deny it,
because I saw everything. Then, she turned to Eve. And you, Eve. You were the only one
sensible enough to tell my husband to link his life with mine while I was about to fade out of
existence. You ve saved my life, Eve. If it wasn t for you, I would be long dead by now. I owe
everything to you, lovable siblings.
So what? Even if you owe your life to us, it still means nothing. We re enemies. And
mortal enemies between you and me! You re of the Light, and we the Dark. You don t want
anything to do with us except to destroy us so we won t disturb your peace! Eve laughed
bitterly.
True. Serenity nodded, and shot a meaningful look at Tuxedo Kamen, who avoided
her gaze uneasily, obviously regarding to the part about mortal enemies . Then she turned
back to Eve and Vil. But I may be able to repay you from saving my life by doing you two a
little favor.
A favor? Eve and Vil asked together, curious.
I can cleanse you out of your evil possessions with my Silver Crystal. Serenity smiled.
Cleanse us? The siblings looked at each other in surprise.
Serenity nodded, Right. We all know that you two aren t completely evil......
I don t. Mars murmured.
Shut up! Big mouth! Go and breathe fire! I don t need interruptions right now!
Serenity hissed. Then she turned back to the siblings. Okay, back to business. Evidently
you re being possessed by some sort of evil, which have been using your bodies to do things
against your will. But you still have goodness in you. My Silver Crystal can take care of the evil
and bring out the goodness hidden inside you. All you have to do is to believe.
Eve and Vil looked at each other for a while. Then they both knelt down in front of
Neo-Queen Serenity, Your Majesty, we believe in you.
Serenity smiled and willed her Imperial Silver Crystal to appear.
Usako, are you sure you want to do this? Tuxedo Kamen asked worriedly. You
shouldn t use the Silver Crystal so soon after your recovery of your soul. You know how
energy-demanding that crystal is.
Don t worry, honey, I ll be alright. Serenity replied with a fascinating smile, and
instantly Tuxedo Kamen was quiet.
Serenity was about to use her power when Eve suddenly leaped off to the air again like
last time. But this time everyone was aware.
I would not let you take away my minions that easily! Eve said in a harsh, male voice.
Her eyes was glowing red and her expression was wild and out of control. She fired a couple of
powerful energy bolts at the senshi and the royalties, but all of them missed.
Who are you? Neo-Queen Serenity demanded.
I m Parlos! The Incarnation of Evil! Centuries ago your mother had banished me to
the Void. But not anymore! I had gained enough power to break through your mother s shield
throughout the centuries. The roots of evil within humans had given me strength. Now I m here
for revenge! You had gotten away before, little princess Serenity, but you won t be so lucky this
time! Eve s inside voice said.
Looks like Eve s body s been inhibited. Neo-Queen Serenity frowned.
Then we ll blast this evil spirit out of her body! Jupiter said. The others agreed.
No! Don t! Vil went in front of her sister. Please, don t hurt my sister!
Vil, we re not trying to hurt her. We re trying to save her. Serenity said.
But...... Vil tried to protest, but was cut of by Serenity.

be normal again!

managed to do that with only a soul, and without the body to show you any forbidden flesh. But
this one would not be as easy to be tamed, with me in her mind. Now get lost before I have to
move you myself! Parlos howled.
Tuxedo Kamen frowned at Parlos words about Serenity s soul taming Vil. But he knew

the other Inners to team up with her.

Parlos dodged the attacks easily, That s all for your silly little tricks? Now it s my

He fired an extraordinarily strong dark power bolt at all the senshi and the royalties, as
well as Vil. Overwhelmed, they were struck head on and fell on the ground, injured. Parlos
laughed loudly and cruelly at the group as they moaned in pain.
For the sake of the universe and my beloved friends and families, I ll never let you win
this one! Sailor Moon declared as she struggled to stand up. Her Silver Crystal appeared in her
hands in front of her chest. I ll banish you, just like how my mother did centuries and centuries
ago!
Give a god damn try! Queen Failure! Parlos growled, and fired another strong bolt at
the crowd.
Cosmic Moon Power! Banish this evil! Sailor Moon cried as she transformed back
into her queen form. Her Silver Crystal glowed brightly as she released it incredible power. It
blocked Parlos bolt and caused a huge explosion. The two source of power wrestled against
each other. But Parlos bolt seemed to overwhelm Serenity bit by bit. But she didn t give up,
draining every bit of her remaining energy into the crystal. Her ocean-blue pupils reflected
desperation as well as pain.
We have to help the Queen! Pluto declared. The others nodded in agreement.

The united power of the senshi overwhelmed Parlos power quickly. He cried in agony
as he was banished back into the Void.
No! You can t do this to me again! I m Parlos! Champion of Evil! I cannot be
destroyed...... And his voice trailed off.
The light from the Silver Crystal vanished. Neo-Queen Serenity transformed back into
Sailor Moon involuntarily and fell back in exhaustion. But, as usual, Tuxedo Kamen ran up just
in time to catch her body.
Sailor Moon, are you alright? He asked anxiously as he held his wife s body in his
arms.
Sailor Moon nodded weakly.
At the same time, Vil ran up to his sister, who was lying unconsciously on the ground a
couple feet away from the senshi.
Eve! Eve! Are you alright?
Eve opened her eyes slowly and blinked, Huh? What happened?
Everyone only smiled.
Then, Vil turned to Sailor Moon, Your Majesty, can you cleanse us now?
Sailor Moon, recovering from the demanding battle against Parlos, nodded, Anytime.
Usako, you just used the Silver Crystal...... Tuxedo Kamen protested, but was cut off
by his wife.

she watched the happy siblings, Though evil can never be actually destroyed, lest it roots are
still deep in human s hearts. Parlos is still here, deep in the Void, looking for another chance to
escape the emptiness. Let s hope that the goodness in people can keep him in there long enough
before we find a way to eliminate the roots of evil.
