Chapter 1

It's been 3 years since the last battle with Galaxia. The world's been in peace ever since Galaxia's defeat in the attempt of taking over the universe. The Negaverse had not launched another invasion ever since. Luna and Artemis declared with evidence(with Ami's help in the analyzing of infomation, of course) and proof that the Negaverse will not be able to disturb the peace of Earth for a while, since the battle of Galaxia had used up almost all of the Negaverse's energy. Therefore the senshi, especially Usagi, happily led on a normal life for the last 3 years, until now.


Usagi was anxiously playing with her fingers while being dragged by Ami and Makoto to the board that posted the marks of the University Entrance Exam results. She had been studying very hard for the last few years. And especially the last few months, because of the University Entrance Exam. Normally it would be a miracle for Usagi to even touch the textbooks for a macrosecond. But ever since 3 years ago, Usagi made a very important decision -- she want to study in the same university with Mamoru. But to enter the University, and particularly this one Mamoru is in, that requires very good marks. And Usagi's marks would hardly qualify(that is, putting it mildly) for the entrace requirements of the University. Therefore, with the help of Ami as well as Mamoru, Usagi began to get rid of the bad habits of getting up late and not doing her homework and not studying for tests and exams. That took a while, but miraculously, she finally succeeded. And for the last few years Usagi even managed to get in the top 10 of the school. But still, Usagi wasn't at all that confident to be accepted by the University, especially about the exam.

Usagi couldn't bring herself to look up at the board after she and her friends arrived, while her friends looked at the results.

"Hey! Ami! You're first again!" Makoto congradulated Ami.

"You got in 7th place too, that's pretty good as well!" Ami smiled. Then, both of them turned to the unusually silent Usagi.
"What's wrong, Usagi? Why don't you look at your marks?" Ami asked.
"I...uh...I..." Usagi stuttered. "Nothing, really. Just...well, a little nervous, I guess." Finally she took a deep breath and looked up. Her expression turned from nervous to shock in less than a fraction of a second.

"SECOND PLACE?!" Usagi exclaimed in shock. "I got in second place? I'm not dreaming, am I?"


"No, you're not. Your marks is just right next to Ami's. Congrats, Usagi-chan." Makoto said.

"Oh, I can't wait to tell Mamoru about this!" Usagi was so excited she was jumping up and down. But no one minded. After all, that's Usagi.

"I already know."

Startled, all four of them turned around and saw Mamoru standing right behind them, grinning proudly of his beloved's excellent academical acheivement.

"Mamo-chan!" Usagi threw herself into Mamoru's waiting arms. "I got in 2nd place! Can you believe it? I actually got in 2nd place in the National University Entrance Exam!"

"I'm very proud of you, Usako." Mamoru smiled caringly, love sparkling in his eyes.

"Hmmm...I wonder where's Mina-chan." Makoto looked around, searching for Minako in the crowd.

"I think I know exactly why she doesn't show up at the board." Usagi grinned in Mamoru's arms.
"Why?" Makoto and Ami asked together.

"Because she's afraid to look at the results, just like I did before." Usagi shrugged.

"Who said I'm afraid?" Came an accusing Minako, obviously not in a good mood, depressed about what the exam results might be for her.

"Mina-chan! Where've you been?" Makoto asked.

"I slept in."

Minako glanced up at the board anxiously, looking for her name. When she finally spotted her name in the 15th place on the board, she sighed with relief.

"I was so worried I'd fail!" Minako exclaimed, then turned to Mamoru, noticing his presence for the first time. "Hey! Mamoru-kun, what're you doing here?"

"So you're telling me you didn't see me till now?" Mamoru teased.

Minako was about to answer when Luna, Artemis, and Diana showed up behind them.

"Hello! Everyone! So how did each one of you do in your exams?" Luna asked.

"You'll be totally surprised, Luna!" Usagi exclaimed as Luna hopped up to her shoulder. "I got in 2nd place! Ami's first, of course. I don't think there's anyone in the entire universe who can beat her in an exam. Mako-chan got in 7th place, and Mina-chan got in 15th. That means we'll all be accepted in the National University!"

"Congrats, everyone!" Artemis said. "That means all of you will be in the same University Mamoru's in!"

"Congradulations, Usagi-sama......"Diana congradulated them as well, but was interrupted by Usagi.

"Diana, how many times did I tell you that don't call me 'sama'? I'm not queen yet. And I still want to enjoy a few more years of freedom before I take the full load of responsibility as ruler of Crystal Tokyo. So please don't call me 'sama', Diana." Usagi interrupted the kitten.

"Hai! Usagi-sama!" Diana replied.

Usagi rolled her eyes, everyone else laughed.

"Diana, how come you didn't go back to the future with Chibi Usa? Aren't you gonna miss her and your world here?" Mamoru asked.

"I have asked Neo-Queen Serenity and Neo-King Endymion's permission to stay in the 20th century, because I like it here. And Small Lady's gonna come back pretty soon. She hated all the trainings and lessons from...uh...pardon me...Ami-sama. Since the lessons are quite difficult, and not everybody has Ami-sama's intelligence to absorb all the knowledge and information. I'm just waiting for her here. Anyway, Small Lady's just reporting her trainings as a senshi to Neo-Queen Serenity. She'll be back shortly after that. Time-travelling requires a lot of energy, we don't want to waste Sailor Pluto's energy if not necessary." Diana explained.

Suddenly a light beam struck the earth from the sky. Everyone looked up in shock. Inside the light were the Three Lights, Princess Kakyuu, and Chibichibi.

"Hello! Everyone! Haven't seen you for a long time!" Seiya was the first one to greet them. Mamoru's face darkened at the sight of his rival. He had learned that Usako had been going out with Seiya while he was trapped in another's dimension.(Technically speaking, he died) Although he held back the urge to yell at Usako why the hell did she go out with another guy while he was away, and forgave her inappropriate actions towards Seiya the very moment she threw herself in his arms and kissed him passionately, he still couldn't bring himself to accept the guy -- his rival -- as his friend wholeheartly. In other words, he was jealous. But he knew better to show his dislike in front of Usagi and her friends.

"Seiya! Taiki! Yaten! Kakyuu! And, Chibichibi! Wow! You're back on Earth!" Usagi exclaimed with joy, and gave each one of them a big hug.

Seiya could swear he saw flames dancing in Mamoru's eyes when Usagi hugged him. But then his love and fondness for the girl swept over him and he forgot all about Mamoru's dangerous, or possibly murderous glare when his ordango-head was in his arms. When the meatball-headed girl went on to hug the others, he felt warmth all over him. And of course, his smile of affection towards Usagi couldn't escape Mamoru's eyes. And that was like putting gasoline into the flames. Seiya would bet he's gonna have a physical fight in his hands very soon -- as soon as Usagi's out of sight and everybody's gone.

"We're back for a visit!" Taiki announced. "And we also brought you some news."

"What news?" Ami asked.

"There's a good news and a bad one, which one do you want to hear first?" Taiki asked with a grin.

"And I thought you're practical. Just get into the facts." Ami teased.

"In front of you I can't be practical. I've got to be smart!" Taiki teased back, and Ami blushed.

"Let's hear the good news first!" Usagi decided. "We'll hear the bad one later."

Seiya cleared his throat. "Galaxia has been reborned, although not in this time frame."

"Not in this time frame? What do you mean by that?" Makoto asked.

"The rebirth of a star seed into a new body is not bounded by time. A senshi could have died in another time, even thousand of years ago, and then be reborn several thousand years later. Galaxia, after cleansed by Usagi of Chaos inside her body, has been reborn about a thousand years later." Taiki explained. "And there's something very interesting we've also found out while tracking down the exact time and place of Galaxia's rebirth. She has been, or should I say, will be reborn on Earth, approximately a thousand years from now. That is, she will be reborn in Crystal Tokyo."

"Crystal Tokyo!" Usagi exclaimed.

"And, what's more interesting," Taiki continued. "Was that Galaxia is born of Crystal Tokyo's royal blood."

"WHAT?" This time Usagi and Mamoru exclaimed together. Then Mamoru continued, "You can't possibly mean..."

"According to my informaion, Galaxia is your granddaughter." Taiki finished.

Everyone stared.

"Granddaughter......" Usagi's lips trembled. "Pardon my asking, but who will be my son-in-law, approximately a thousand years from now?"

"I thought you knew!" Taiki said in surprise. "It's Helios, who else do you think Chibi Usa will marry?"

"Thought so." Usagi murmured.
